Hi! I found out that Lawson is hiring for software developers, software qualiy assurance engineer etc.? Will there be no more retrenchment considering they are hiring?
How is the process here for those with work experiences? Will you still undergo bootcamp?

Good day PEXERs. To set the records straight, YES, Lawson Software Philippines is once again in Hiring mode. As for the lay-offs, the company recruiters had been so lax during the previous year that it has came to our knowledge that we are already having redundancies in terms of our human power. That includes redundancy in project assignments, redundancy in salary rates, etc. As far as the global recession is concerned, it has affected the company only during the crisis' initial existence, meaning, only the first lay-off was directly related to the crisis. This implies that the succeeding lay-offs were primarily on the redundancy side, and were not really brought out by the crisis. As for the recent freeze-hiring, Lawson has decided to have that in order for us to carefully conduct our yearly budget review. The review is over and now, we are hiring people. If ever the review has brought out negative results, then we can say that Lawson is indeed highly affected by the recession, but since the budget review has rendered positive results, we can say that the company is still stable and is doing its best to maintain its corporate stability. In reality, ALL companies are affected by the crisis but companies such as Lawson, and so as Hewlett-Packard, are doing its best to evade the crisis' touches. I hope I answered most of your questions.
