And at the same time, I'll give him/her all my support and encouragement (which I think comes with the territory of being a parent)...na hopefully will help him/her improve or change.
...if after all that "bobo" pa rin sya...oh no!!!..huwag naman sana....hay naku!!! sakit siguro sa ulo :bop:... that's why wala nga akong anak eh.... pero basta...I'll still love my anak unconditionally.... "bobo" man sya or not.

I used to think that my brother has a learning disorder. Growing up, he would just constantly flunk his classes regardless of the tutoring that was provided for him. Interestingly though, I found out recently that he retains and learn things differently than the average person. He can't stand to be in a stuffy classroom with a teacher giving lectures. He learns more in a hands-on learning environment. My brother is very gifted and talented. By the time he was 2 1/2 years old, he could draw way better than kids his age. He didn't go for those stick people drawings, he started drawing them in detail. He would spend countless hours in his room drawing page after page. When a friend of mine showed him this graphics software, my brother didn't need to be shown how to do it. He just started using the program as if he had used it before. When asked how'd he learn how to use it, he simply answers " Ewan ko, I just know." Everynow and then, he would pleasantly surprise me by telling me about "How the protein prion is the cause of Mad Cow disease" or "Glivec is the new cancer treatment for this certain Leukemia" and goes on and tell me the details of it. I soon found out that he was a visual learner. This summer, he will take art classes at our local college to explore this art talent of his.
Children like my brother need their love ones support. Insulting them or calling them "bobo" is not constructive in any sense. Find out what they are best at and help them develop it. A huge amount of patience and understanding could take you and your family a long long way.
