Welcome our new Co-Moderator, Leigh

I request a hearty round of applause and warm encouragement for our new co-moderator, Leigh, twentysomething, female, employed, and definitely not skanky.

In my opinion, her presence in this forum can contribute to the growth of the discussions here, for these reasons (and many more):


she is closer in age to most of our members than I am, and can better speak with authority about work-related issues that are close to her heart, such as making the transition from college to working life, choosing your first job, maintaining a comfortable lifestyle on an entry-level salary.
her contact with peers and the professional community more closely approximates that of the majority of the membership in this community. In short, she can relate.
her background is in marketing and promotions, which is different from the career path I have taken. This adds another dimension to the discussions we hope to be having here.
she is more likely to be online during office hours.
she receives a salary from PEx, and I don't. :lol:


I'm taking this opportunity to thank everyone for your cooperation, and more importantly your contributions which have brought The Working Filipino to where it is today. I hope you continue to do the same for Leigh, twentysomething, female, employed, and definitely not skanky.

Kidding aside, I've always appreciated your professionalism and friendly manner. Leigh is one of the nicest people on the planet, and one of my best best friends. :) She also does volunteer work for Museo Pambata and hopes to be a preschool teacher (or was that Katzmeeow?) in the future.

I used to work with Leigh at a dotCom, and when I told her I was going to leave, she almost cried :( She's very sweet, friendly, and one of the best listeners to have around when you need someone to talk to :)

PEx couldn't possibly have a better Co-moderator than Leigh, the definitely not Skanky girl :)

Was co-facilitator for more than 2 years in DLSU for Orient3 classes (for non-LaSallians, this is a 3-Saturday seminar that graduating students have to go through)where we discuss things about: Knowing yourself, your achievements, your strengths and your weeknesses, interview tips, resume writing, power dressing and other things graduating students usually have problems about.

hi! actually, the term skanky started as squanky which is the "maarte term for squatter" but now i use it more of as baduy or panget.

You know, I'd like to say something else about Leigh. Attractive as she is, I honestly believe her competence far outshines her looks. :)

I have yet to meet someone with more empathy for other people. And rarely have I seen someone with the levels of kindness, sincerity and emotional quotient as our dear co-moderator has. She's smart, dedicated, and capable. And there are few people who can listen as well as she does. A truer friend one cannot hope to find. :D

So let's not focus just on her looks. I don't think we do her justice. I, for one, will be the last to objectify this fine lady. :) As I said, she's an :angel:

ok, of all the female mods.. I can honestly say that I "know" Leigh the least and I'm lookin forward to future interactions with her here at PEX. So, again, Congrats Leigh! :)
