I LOVE MY LITTLE BROWN BAGGIES!!!

My partner gets up even earlier than I do so that she can cook me lunch, and wraps it all up in a little brown bag. i've my little black mug, and my little black tupperware that says "enjoy your wonderful lunch time"...and a treat (usually a lollipop or a few sweets) in the baggie. The crinkling of brown bags is now synonymous with a relaxing break for me.

so, tell me, what do you have for lunch where you work?

I usually bring baon to the office, it helps me save money. Sometimes, my officemates & I end the week by having lunch out.

Used to bring baon, but sometimes it goes to waste 'cause we eat out for lunch. So now, I don't bring baon anymore. We usually eat at the Tower 1 Cafeteria - cheap food, but pretty good. If my SO drops by we usually have lunch at Glorietta or Greenbelt.

Baon. If I eat out, which is rare, it doesn't get wasted since I can eat it for dinner anyway... :grinroll:

Sometimes I bring my own lunch, but usually I eat at the canteen. Tamad kasi ako magprepare, especially if I have to be at work at 6am, and no one else will pack for me either so kailangang kumain sa labas. :)

Bumibili kami ng lunch ke manang. Sarap nga siya magluto. Dalawa na ulam me kasama pang fruit for dessert. Mura pa.

The hospital provides a free buffet lunch for doctors in a private lounge during the lunchtime conferences, so I get to save money. And yes, they serve terrific food, not at all like the usual hospital food. ;) Otherwise, if there are no conferences, I just skip lunch altogether.

as for me, lunch out (usually megamall) or kaya food-catering service ni manang (tm).

Aaah, but you're talking about hospital patients' food. That's another matter entirely.

for me preparing lunch for the next day is a BIG production. since i'm a vegetarian, i normally just have salad (spring mix and assorted shredded veggies, sprouts, raw organic tofu cutlets)sprinkled with brewer's yeast, pumpkin seeds and a dash of ground flaxseed and pack it in glass pyrex container.

I eat by putting food in my mouth and chewing it well before I swallow.

I have the feeling this is not the kind of answer you want.

munik's post rings a bell. Almost ten years ago the people at the office unanimously voted to accept lunch provided by the company instead of a government-mandated salary adjustment (about P400 a month). So the company has contracted for cooking services for ulam, and provides all the rice the employees can eat. The only conditions are they must consume all the food at the office and not bring any of it home. We have carried on this program to this day.

i never ever bring baon coz i'm too picky with food (sorry!)! as in, i have to satisfy my cravings and cannot just eat whatever my baon is when i'm hungry! as in, kahit nanghihina na ko sa gutom tapos walang-lasang porkchop ang baon ko, di bale nalang...maiinis lang ako! if i feel like having fried food today, it will have to be fried food, or saucy food or whatever. kahit merienda, i cannot eat baon!! it has to be something i really want to eat at the moment. kaya pag nasa bahay ako, wala akong kinakain so when i was still in school, i got thin during summer breaks, instead of the other way around!! =]

Usually, i eat out...coz we don't have a maid and my mom can't prepare stuff for me anymore :) hehe spoiled sa mommy :)

i really appreciate food from the house, especially when you have a microwave oven in the office :) makes you save money and you can eat it in the office :)

There are added advantages. Because the employees do not have to leave the premises for lunch, they tend to take shorter lunch breaks, allowing them to get their work done sooner and leave earlier at the end of the day.

My mom wakes up early to prepare my lunch. Swerte talaga ako! This way I get to save more. Atsaka, kakatamad mag-lunch out everyday, it's as if you'd get third degree burns when you're out in the sun during lunch hour.
