I was not aware that adidas had a Philippine subsidiary/office. Maybe I have been out of touch for too long. I believe in the early 90s they had a rep office with an expat, and before that they dealt with locally-owned licensees and subcontractors to manufacture products.

Where is their office, by the way? Do they actually use the name "Adidas Philippines", or are they some sort of representative for adidas products, with an office located in the Philippines?

Lupus: They have an office in Ortigas - complete with a showroom. And they do use "Adidas Philippines" =)

Adidas has sponsored a lot of the events I've been involved in. Philip Go is the GM and Sonny Nebres the marketing manager. They had a big event last year for the streetball tournment when Tracy McGrady and Tim Thomas came here to visit.

Peace.

Had a chat friend who works there. Or baka hindi na? I'm not sure, that was a long time ago. Anyway, who's better here in the Philippines? Nike or Adidas? "Better" in terms of sales and marketing and all. I've heard from a lot of guy friends that although Nike is the better brand, Adidas makes better shoes. Something like that. What can you guys say? Can't say much about this since I'm really not into rubber shoes.

Well, i read that in terms of sales, Nike is number 1 worldwide but here in the Philippines, Adidas is number 1. I personally prefer Adidas over Nike when it comes to rubber shoes. I play tennis (KD, i'm an Anna K. wannabe  ) and I'm more comfortable wearing my adidas rubbershoes compared to my nike's. But if we're talking about being hip and fashionable, nothing beats Nike's prestos.

my sis-in-law, knowing that i am a big adidas-freak, brought me a cologne and an aftershave by adidas from the US. man, do they smell great! lalakeng-lalake ang scent! i do hope adidas philippines have them here. their boutiques in glorietta and vito cruz do not.

anna, martina, kobe -- adidas rules!

My boyfriend almost applied for one assistant position there. The title sounded really entry-level but the salary is high, as in! :D

He didn't pursue it coz the department, (marketing) was one of the busiests and had a perfectionist boss always on the look out. But generally, the office atmosphere daw is nice, upbeat. And employees get 30% discount card. I think it goes up as your position goes up too.

potato_babe, how high is high?

as far as i know...there is no "nike park" of adidas here, right? I believe nike has the recall but here, like most of you mentioned, it's adidas leading the sales.
