I would encourage them to have their own businesses. To use their creative minds. To create opportunity.

If they ever decide to follow in my footsteps, I would be honored.

When the day comes that they have to decide, though, I would really want them to follow their hearts. And I hope that by then they will have more options than I ever had, so that they can chose to do what they want to do, and not necessarily just what pays the most money.

Unless they really want to become doctors, then, no, I won't. It takes too long and there's too much heartbreak (not just the romantic kind) involved. The field of medicine is also already too crowded now, what more in the future?
