I would if I was an insomniac! :)

Depends on how much better it paid. Offhand, I would take it if paid double my current pay for the same level of work.

Of course I would! :) It's absolutely the best decision as far as I'm concerned.

1) You get to avoid all traffic. You go to work when everyone else is going home, and vice versa.

2) You get paid more. :)

3) It's much quieter at night, and I find I'm much more productive at this time.

4) There are fewer distractions.

5) You can spend your days in bed while everyone else is at work. Granted, they can say the same when THEY go to bed, but given the fact that I'd have saved at LEAST one hour of travel time, I'm pretty sure I'd be much fresher.

Plus, I really am a nocturnal person, so everything works out. :)

That said, I won't ever get this option. My business won't allow me to. But given the choice... :D

Kaya nga ba gusto kong mag-doktor, eh. I get to work late at night when everyone's sleeping already. Trip ko din dati magkaroon ng job sa funeral parlor (medico legal?) or sa airport (at the clinic) kasi those are places that never sleep.

been there. done that.

i liked working that shift. i was working 10 hrs a day from sunday night through wednesday night. i liked not having to work from thursday through saturday and not come in to work until 10pm on sunday.
i was going to the beach in the summer time while everyone was at work. i was able to do my errands. it also felt like i wasn't working at all!!
the only problem was i needed human contact!! so i had to get out of it after 8 months.

From our batch, a lot of people have actually chosen working at night, and their number one reason...is the money they are getting :)i really can't blame them since the opportunity is there and they really don't mind :)

On my end - for now (that is), i can't deal with that, am such a morning person and it's really weird when i would leave the house in the afternoon and get home in the morning :)

I guess it's worth the try, but I'm afraid I don't want it to be forever. Eventually, I wanna get a 'regular' job.

my current job is just that...a graveyard shift. but eventually i don't wanna be here forever although to some extent im a nocturnal person because number one, professionally, there's no growth because all you ever do is to provide customer service. number two, it is a thankless job especially when you get slammed by tons of callers. and to top it all, irate callers screaming at your eardrums looking for a supervisor while you have to play nice and symphatize them. and number three, it sucks when your dayoff is not on weekends. well anyway, for me pay is indeed good...but just as the saying goes, money isn't everything. there are other factors that one must consider when taking a job and being this as my first ever job, that is what im finding out right now.

It will still depend if the job is good.

I get to do other things during afternoons like go on some sidelines to earn more bucks and to look after certain businesses!

I've been on night shift (10pm to 6am) for about 2 months now. I get around P3,000 on top of my salary and i think it's worth it. plus i don't pay for parking, i don't have to wear corporate, there's never any traffic. since my work starts at 10, i have time for dinner with friends or watch movies or tv. it's not all bad. the only problem is if i have to catch something during office hours (gov't offices, service centers, and the like), i could get sleep deprived or sleep in 4 hour intervals (which is not as restful).

some of my friends are working graveyard shift at etelecare. yup, the pay is better as compared to daytime jobs pero the stress is teribble din. malakas ang turn-over rate.

your_honor, doon ka rin ba nagtratrabaho?

i also applied there last january and pumasa naman ako. i just thought about it really hard coz the pay was tempting. di ko rin tinanggap in the end coz hindi talaga yon ang linya ko.

so now, eto, nagtyatyaga sa isang job na maliit ang pay pero i like what i'm doing naman. :)

As long as the pay is alright and I have internet access through the wee hours then I wouldn't mind one bit!

I think it would be ok for me, since there would be no crowds and no traffic. The only thing is, when everyone is going on a night-out, you're stuck at work. When you have a family event, (e.g. sundays) you're in your room sleeping! Your body clock will be really abnormal. It's like having a jet lag every now and then...
