check ka sa ebay ph and sulit ph :) and sa enfant boutique. they have 5k stroller with carseat/baby carrier na. sayang tapos na ata 10% discount sale:) it's really nice and practical. i prefer it over graco. if only i have budget for bugaboo! but then it's soooo impractical hehe. P39K+ if you want to check out bugaboo, sa powerplant lang alam kong meron hehe :D

Nangangati yung throat ko when I eat crabs or shrimps.

kung texbook case ka... kung hindi maselan ang pregnancy mo, opk pakiramdam mo, wlaang na-detect na problem with the fetus... i don't see any reason why not... kasi diba, kahit na alaga ka ng OB mo pero sa iabng lugar ka inabutan ng labor, all OBs should be competent and able to take care of you and the baby...

bebeboy - is this your first pregnancy? i suggest, wag ka na lumipat ng OB. i have an officemate who decided she'll gave birth in the province so her mother can look after her (btw, her husband is out of the country most of the time). when she 2 weeks due to gave birth nga, she went to her province. unfortunately, siguro dahil hindi nga alam ang history ng kanyang pregnancy or negligence na rin nung OB, her baby died inside her tummy. according to the OB, fetal death daw. according to her nga, naglabor na sya ng matagal before nagdecide ang OB nga na i-CS sya para lang mahabol but unfortunately, hindi na.

jovhelle - na-trauma nga friend ko parang ayaw na tuloy magbuntis. in my opinion, kapabayaan ng OB yun. kasi pwede naman nyang iCS yun sooner e kasi more or less alam nya why nagkaganun. sabi nga namin pwedeng magfile ng malpractice against the OB.

Was your friend's pregnancy difficult? Did she have problems during? And did she brief her OB well, as in asa records nya with the new OB yung whatever important history that she has? And how long did she labor?

Kasi fetal distress can happen anytime... not just because of prolonged labor... a simple turn can result in cord coil or whatever... I know a blogger who lost a child in New York pa ha, under the care of good doctors in an expensive institution... and there was no prior problem with both the mother and baby...

I feel lang kasi na it's unfair to immediately assume negligence on a doctor's part simply because fetal deaths do happen... kaya nga ako nagpa-CS na kasi fetal deaths are more likely for GD and polyhydramnios cases eh... but if your friend wasn't diagnosed to have these... a lot of things can still go wrong... my OB always told me that there aren't guarantees in pregnancies and deliveries... and doctors are human too, their knowledge and intuition canot cover all and prevent all...

If your friend went to a doctor/hospital without the proper equipment... that would be her fault...

If thru a fetal monitor, the OB already noted distress but still prolonged the labor...then he/she is at fault... but is this what happened?

And i'm not saying let's blame your friend ha... I like to believe that she and the OB were both careful and concerned, yun lang nga... tragedies strike even the best of people...

Oh and self-respecting OBs wouldn't immediately suggest a CS even if the labor is prolonged na... so long as wala ngang fetal distress or nagpo-progress naman ang labor and dilation of cervix... or hindi multiple births or breech.. I have friends who labored for 10 hours, for 19 hours... bakit tumatagal ng ganun? Kasi nga as much as possible, CS is a last resort...

oh and a sadder thing about the Philippines... there is no malpractice law...

tama lang din na your friend doesn't get pregnant soon... so her body and spirit can recover from the pregnancy, the delivery and the loss... whether miscarriage, still birth, baby death or childhood death or adult death, every child is absolutely loved and thus will need to be greatly mourned...

i'm kinda confused, maybe guys you can give me some thoughts. lol. i posted earlier sa isang thread abt preggy stuff. my gf is almost two months delayed and after using pregnancy kit last night, it was a Negative result. lol.

confused ka kung bakit delayed ang gf mo pero negative naman sa preg test? malamang she is not pregnant, either irregular sya because of some hormonal problem or stress... or nabuntis sya and it was naturally flushed out of her system na...

Uhm....diba common ang warts or wart-like anything sa buntis? Ako din nagkaron ng konti when I was preggy but they sort of evaorated in my late third trimester and wala na sya ulit ngayon... better ask your OB pa din if you need to do something about it...

basta dapat may track din sila from the start na nag pa pre natal check up ka..

oh and a sadder thing about the Philippines... there is no malpractice law...

I have a friend who is an OB-GYN in the Philippines and when we talked about the malpractice law, she said that it's bad news for the health care system. Mag-a-add lang daw ng isang layer ng pagkakagastusan because doctors will now be forced to get insurance for protection. Then mapapasa ang gastos to the patients. This is actually what's happening in the US. Sobrang mahal ng medical bills. When I gave birth, we had to spend almost $3000 maski na may health insurance kami. When I added the amount covered by our health insurance, umabot sa almost $20,000. Kawawa dito yung middle class.

That's so true. And I notice that doctors here really don't have the personal touch because most have a "cover-your-a$$" type of practice.

agree ako jan, sneezy. kaya sobrang dami nating mga kababayang nanay who opted to gave birth sa public hospitals, like Fabella. Ang lupit daw doon as in 2 kayo sa isang bed, tapos after ka manganak upo ka nalang sa chair kasi there's no place for you to recover decently. So sad.

that's just one of the issues sister....

kasi on the other hand, doctors will at least be more responsible because they will be held accountable... kawawa din naman yung mga patients who do not get things explained to them, or who don't even get to file for damages for bungled surgeries etc.

my friend connie blogged about it na before... hindi ko na lang mahanap yung post...

papasok din kasi dito yung pagbaba ng gamot... because pharma companies need not butter up the doctors with trips and gadgets....

ahehe... though i'd feel pitiful din siguro if patatayuin ako agad after manganak... there are some cultures na ganun eh... pregnancy and delivery are just glitches in their everyday lives and there's no reason for the women not to immediately get back to their routine (caring for the home, working a living)

tas yung culture natin dati... SOBRA naman ang reaction sa nanganak... tipong hindi pwede maligo, tumayo, kumain ng kung ano ano etc for a month... ahehe

Sana nga, if and when a malpractice law is passed in our country, it will safeguard the patients at hindi added gastos. I guess the US has this culture of being litigious kaya everybody even drug companies have what sneezy mentioned "cover your arse" mentality. Feeling ko lagi sa doctors ay isasagad whatever lab tests pag nakita nila that the patient has health insurance.

i missed this: relatives fussing over childbirth. my SIL gave birth 2 weeks ago at hinahatidan pa ng food yung brother ko sa hospital. my husband, tiis sya sa leftover ko at yung mga libreng ice cream cups, yogurt at popsicle sa pantry ng hospital.

i'm going on my fourth month now.. pero second baby ko na to...
I think okay lang magpalit ng OB.

Share ko lang..

I had my first baby nine years ago. I was just 20 y/o then. 19 years old ako when I got married. Slim ako, so parang inutusan lang bumili sa tindahan :D

Back then, I had my prenatal sa isang maliit na private hospital sa may amin. Alaga naman ako sa check-up so okay naman. Wala akong tiwala sa verdict nya, so I decided to transfer to another hospital..mapa-normal or mapa-CS, basta lipat ako...anyway, feeling ko, kaya ko pa naman.
From taytay, we travelled to Manila. Gamilla... ayun... it turned out sobrang kaya ko pala mag-normal delivery. And okay naman kasi bago nila ko sinalang, minonitor nila ako... They checked the records na dala dala ko. I kept with me my mommy book and all the riseta, ultrasound and everything... mga mama, FIRST TIME ako nakita noon nung OB na nag-paanak sa akin.

Yun nga lang, ngayon, I'm still scouting for a good hospital for my second child.

Medyo weird din how I found out I was expecting...I went to my doctor for my routine physical exam and he wanted to do a pap test. tinanong ko kung ok lang kase i was supposed to start my period later that day...well, my period never came :)

yesterday, my husband and i went to our first appointment. i'm almost 9 weeks and i got my first ultrasound and picture! i didn't know na pwede na palang makakuha ng ultrasound nang ganung kaaga...we saw the heartbeat flicker but did not hear the actual beating. pag labas namin ng husband ko, we were kind of in a daze...he turned to me and said, totoo na talaga to.

im tired a lot: after work, i take naps from 5 - 6:30 p.m. and then get my usual 8 hours later that night. i don't know what to eat and i always think of food now, particularly think of food that i think might not make me throw up. i can cry so easily.

it's quite the adventure.

Hello fellow moms and moms-to-be!

First, my apologies for a shameless ad. :D

I bought a brand new Boppy swaddling blanket at eBay.ph around two weeks ago, but I never used it because my little boy doesn't want to be swaddled.

Here are the actual photos:

http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b300/little_tin_star/IMG_0129.jpg

I opened the pack just to check the content, but as I've mentioned, it's brand new. I'm selling it for PhP 600. Free shipping within MM. If you're interested, please email (little_tin_star@yahoo.com) me or PM me.

Thank you.

sweet_kath26, umiiyak dahil sa ano? Ako kasi, I believe there's an effect somehow pero depende naman sa reason ng pag iyak. Preggy women cry a lot, it's always a roller coaster of emotions, but if a buntis cries a lot because masama ang loob, magiging mas sensitive and emotional si baby. But other than that, wala naman siguro very serious effect.

hello!

i'm a first time mom to be, 3 months on the way. and like all of you, im super excited to see my baby. i'd like to ask a few questions from you fellow moms. did you had excessive burping during the first trimester? how did you deal with it? it's getting very annoying kase and i cant seem to control it. also, my tummy isnt big yet so at night, unconciously ako dumadapa.magigising na lang ako nakadapa nako. is it bad for the baby? iniisip ko kase baka maipit sya. last question, *** manas na feet, when will i experience that? pwede ba ma-prevent un?

hopefully u guys can shed me a little light as im new to these things. thanks in advance :0)

hi moms!!

12 weeks preggy na and I'm still on that 1st trimester roller coaster...arghhh. Kakapagod.

Parang wala talaga akong makain na hinde ako nasusuka or parang masusuka...any kind of meat, oily foods, any food na malakas ang amoy, even lasa ng water kung hinde bagong hugas yung baso and kung hinde fresh ice and water may nalalasahan ako! in fact, sa sobrang throw up ko, I've lost mga ten pounds na, which if i were not pregnant, would have been exciting news.

thank goodness I married a great man na hinde pa naman nagrereklamo and says na as long as "it's for baby naman," eh okay lang yung mga utos ko sa kanya habang sitting pretty ako dito.

I've also asked my husband to change his deodorant, hair gel, and shaving cream to "unscented" and asked him not to use cologne muna, kasi sabi ko "mabaho" sya. LOL. ewan ko ba.

I can't wait to feel a bit more "normal" and I hope my hormones stabilize in the next trimester. :)

major!

until about two months after the delivery....

I made Senokot my friend and stopped eating bananas talaga... Senokot is safe for preggy and breastfeeding Moms :) pero syempre, if you can take Prune Juice, pwede din yun :)

dun sa other questions in this thread.... a lot of celebrities continued smoking, drinking, drinking coffee, getting hair dyes and what-nots etc... and they all went on naman to give birth to healthy kids....

but syempre, if you ask the doctors, they would discourage you...

it's your call really...

ako noon, ang motto ko is...follow the doctors orders para if anything goes wrong, hindi ko sisisihin sarili ko... i mean, i can say i did everything right... para din walang masabi asawa ko who was very maalaga naman..

i'm very very happy kasi we've been waiting for this blessing from God for more than 2yrs!
and guess what???? made in UAE pa (i visited my hubby last april-may, since dun na sya work from dec 2007)!

I had my u/s last tues, may27. may heartbeat na c baby.

i'm going to see my OB again this saturday to read my u/s result and for other things to do.

Onirach and AngelDeng ...congrats... at yan o, sabay kayo :) classmates kumbaga :)

AmbersMom616... yup, I did snore a lot din when I was preggy, says my hubs... during the third trimester, i'd fall asleep na lang even w/o meaning to and i'd be snoring na daw agad... and when we're both sleeping na, sya ang nagigising sa snores ko, and he'd sometimes try rousing me up enough so i'd shift positions to stop snoring :D

wala naman tayo magagawa eh... pag malaki na yung baby, talagang compromised yung breathing natin

i think mas important naman din na we're able to sleep given our big bellies diba, kesa hindi? :D

Yep, i had friends who were able to find out the gender of their baby on the 3rd month. Siguro dapat magaling yung nagu-ultrasound and syempre, maganda ang position ni baby during the ultrasound.

hi mom-to-be's!

im new sa thread. currently 18 weeks pregnant with our first child. ultrasound showed us last monday that we're having a girl.

is it me or talagang at this point in time, tumataas ang libido ng mga buntis? nahihiya na nga ako sa asawa ko. parang lagi akong nagyayaya. :D nung first trimester, i was the complete opposite. ni i-kiss siya, ayoko dahil nahihilo nga. ngayon naman sumobra ata yung desire ko. lol.

hello!

dedski, dapat mausisa sya. make sure din na tinitimbang ka every check up kase dun nila malalaman if you gain or lost weight pagbalik mo. kase every week, lumalaki *** baby na nasa tummy mo.*** first OB ko sa makati med, mausisa sya. lahat tinatanong pati color ng discharge, time ng pagsusuka, how often nahihilo.kaso di sya covered ng health card ko kaya i changed my OB. *** next,sa the new medical city sa ortigas. ok pa din naman, mas maalaga. she makes it a point na natimbang ako before she checks up on me.nagagalit sya sa assistant nya if di ako natimbang pagpasok ko ng room nya. i'm on my 18th week and i have undergone 2 u/s. trans-v(8th week) and pelvic(15th week..recommended by 2nd OB just to check the baby.). *** 1st OB ko di nagpapatawag sa cellphone. sabi nya, mahirap daw i-check up ang baby kapag nasa phone lang.if emergency talaga, sugod sa delivery room and the nurses there will contact her. *** 2nd OB nagpapatawag sya and she even gave me an endorsement letter if emergency cases para i-accomodate ako agad sa emergency room.

krungers, ako din pababa ng pababa ang blood count ko. kaya doble *** take ko iron vitamins a day.

i don't know any books na pwede ko ma-suggest coz ang gusto ko suspense thriller eh, baka hindi mo trip..hehe..

you can try exercising (brisk walking, walking, swimming) actually i still do cycling and rollerblading and i'm4 mos. preggy na. my tummy is still small so kaya pa.

you can also watch funny movies, romantic comedy movies.. ayun ***** magiging ok na pakiramdam mo. :D

anyway, i just wanna share here that since 3.5months, i felt my baby moving already! i mean, it's earlier than my first baby (felt her move @4mos --tiny, fleeting movements pa lang) this time, my baby's movements are strong na talaga, my husband slightly felt it na nga once eh nagulat din sya! at siempre natuwa. it's usually strong in the afternoon and early morning. ala lang, just wanted to share.. kakaibang feeling.. can't quite describe it :)

Guys, I have a question...well, more of a concern...parang di ko masyadong na-fe-feel mag-"flutter" or kick yung baby ko. I'm 4 and a half months preggy and my friend who is a month ahead of me says na parang nag-ka-karate yung anak nya sa tummy nya and I feel bad kasi parang ako, di masyado na-fe-feel yung movements.

Is it because i'm a 1st time mommy so I can't really distinguish the movements and my friend is on her 4th child? I had an ultrasound last week and normal naman daw yung heartbeat, uterus and no unnnecessary build-up naman daw na fluid and everything...next appt. na malalaman yung gender.

I know everyone's bodies are different pero I'm just worried na hindi normal na I'm not feeling as many fluttering or kicks. Am I being a paranoid 1st time mom??

sweetwahm
Jul 7, 2008, 01:36 AM
Not all first time mommies will feel the quickening or first fluttering. The feeling can be as subtle as a feather being drawn against your tummy, so not all can distinguish first movement, or quick and strong like a strong jab of the baby's leg. Everyone's bodies are different, so so yes, you're just being a paranoid 1st time mom. If it makes you feel any better, not all moms on their nth pregnancy will feel the fluttering either. They only get to know the baby alive and well when the kicks start to get much stronger, when in fact, the little tyke's been moving inside all along.

LYING-IN CENTER is a small institution wherein a pregnant woman can deliver her baby via normal spontaneous vaginal delivery. Usually, lying-in centers only have the most basic level of care. Some are operated by doctors (whether ob-gyn or a general practitioner with experience in normal delivery). If pregnancy is not complicated, a pregnant may deliver in a lying-in center. But if pregnancy is complicated, hospital delivery is advisable. Complications include maternal and fetal. Maternal complications include hypertension, diabetes, thyroid problems, other endocrine problems, placenta previa, bleeding during pregnancy, etc. Fetal complications include any congenital abnormality in the fetus/newborn, fetal distress, cord coil, fetal size, prematurity or postmaturity.

A lying-in center might not be fully equipped with instruments for an emergency CS. So that if one needs an emergency CS, she still has to be transferred IMMEDIATELY to a hospital where a CS can be done. Emergency CS means a CS has to be done as soon as possible because it might mean death of the baby inside the uterus (fetal distress).

It is IDEAL to deliver in a hospital setting because you won't have to be hassled if in case an emergency CS is needed.

Congratulations AE ng Bayan! There are many causes of vaginal spotting during the first trimester of pregnancy. The doctor has to rule out everything that causes vaginal spotting. Causes of spotting in the early weeks of pregnancy are: placenta previa, endocervical polyp, impending miscarriage, cervicitis, antiphospholipid antibody syndrome (APAS) or even sexual intercourse. Cervical polyp and cervicitis can be diagnosed during the first visit if the ob-gyn performs a speculum examination of the cervix. Placenta previa can be diagnosed with the use of transvaginal ultrasound. If your wife's ultrasound showed absence of placenta previa and she doesn't feel any pain in the lower abdomen, she might just need bed rest (with bathroom privilege, of course) for a couple of days/weeks and observe if spotting progresses. Observe also if there's low abdominal pain because this may signal an impending miscarriage. Sexual intercourse may also induce vaginal spotting due to friction and cervicitis. Another cause of vaginal spotting (whether pregnant or non-pregnant) is chlamydia infection (you have to go to your OB for further explanation on this). If you ask me what is APAS, you have to go to your ob-gyn to explain it further. I hope this message helps.

Don't be paranoid yet! You're only on your 4 1/2 months of pregnancy which means you're probably between 16-20 weeks. Fetal movements can be appreciated initially by the mother between these period: as early as 16 weeks and as late as 20 weeks. Just wait until your baby reaches 28 weeks and more, and you'll be complaining that your baby doesn't even let you sleep at night due to its fetal kicks.

i guess iba-iba pa din talaga ang impression natin to the same person no? anyway, she was my OB... i had a difficult pregnancy however kaya madalas ako i-ultrasound, isip nga namin baka glow in the dark na anak namin kasi siguro naka-20 in all ako during my pregnancy...

pero...based sa What To Expect... at least twice lang na ultrasound naman ang kelangan mo...one, arnd the 8th week for the heartbeat...and another one around the 9th month, to check for irregularities... so wag ka maghanap lagi... ahehe... and if you havent already, do read that book kasi it helped a lot talaga, not just in answering my questions but also in helping me come up with questions for my OB...

tapos kasi... although hindi nga sya matanong, ako naman kasi matanong... katwiran ko talaga susulitin ko yung waiting time, if not the PF... and she explains generally well naman... she is kinda tactless/blunt (I described her na ata dun sa OB recommendations thread) but I trust her competence... she always gives the worst case scenario... plus, i know na unless meron talaga sya engagement somewhere, she takes time to explain (kasi minsan, isang oras sya sa ibang patients ever!)... at always upfront sya sa fees, what to expect, sa policies nya (like she doesn't like inducing kasi nauuwi sa CS, but she doesn't attempt vaginal birth pag breech, etc)

do i feel like she took care of me well? yes :) will I get her again for my next pregnancies? sure...if malapit pa rin clinic nya samin... do i highly recommend her? absolutely... but only to those who don't need their hands held kasi nga blunt sya :) and she is top infertility referral by PGH :) wala ba cell number nya dun sa prescripton pad? hindi ko na alam where i got it but I had no problems whatsoever texting her (of course, minsan matagal reply but she does text back)... and once nya lang ako sinabihan not to text anymore kasi she's sleeping na daw but she answered my question pa din (lochia concerns na yun, nakapanganak nako)

am sure she wouldnt mind you texting... unless your concerns were something you could have asked during consultation hours (like... Doc, pede po ba ako mag-Coke? ahehe... SIL ko ganyan eh, disoras ng gabi tsaka ako tatanungin about that... if you have many concerns, make a list sister and voice them out)... and am assumming this is true for all self-respecting doctors...

pero if you want someone na medyo mas fussy, or charming, or generally mas people-person, baka you have to switch na nga sis... as early as now... hindi motherly ekek si Doc de Guia :) but that's not to say she isn't nice and kind :) baka lang hndi talaga kayo click, and important na click ka with your OB :)

do i feel like she took care of me well? yes :) will I get her again for my next pregnancies? sure...if malapit pa rin clinic nya samin... do i highly recommend her? absolutely... but only to those who don't need their hands held kasi nga blunt sya :) and she is top infertility referral by PGH :) wala ba cell number nya dun sa prescripton pad? hindi ko na alam where i got it but I had no problems whatsoever texting her (of course, minsan matagal reply but she does text back)... and once nya lang ako sinabihan not to text anymore kasi she's sleeping na daw but she answered my question pa din (lochia concerns na yun, nakapanganak nako)

am sure she wouldnt mind you texting... unless your concerns were something you could have asked during consultation hours (like... Doc, pede po ba ako mag-Coke? ahehe... SIL ko ganyan eh, disoras ng gabi tsaka ako tatanungin about that... if you have many concerns, make a list sister and voice them out)... and am assumming this is true for all self-respecting doctors...

pero if you want someone na medyo mas fussy, or charming, or generally mas people-person, baka you have to switch na nga sis... as early as now... hindi motherly ekek si Doc de Guia :) but that's not to say she isn't nice and kind :) baka lang hndi talaga kayo click, and important na click ka with your OB :)

ako... 6 months na before I even felt my son move

Well said, mec. Talagang dapat click ka with your OB. I'm sure sa competency di naman questionable with most doctors but you really have to be comfortable with the one who personally attends to you.

OB case in point: My first pregnancy, I had the most wonderful OB. She was referred by my best friend and I was really in good hands. She also coached me well in labor. For my 2nd pregnancy, our health insurance's new policies allowed for pre-natal and post-natal consultations. So I availed the services of the accredited OB, sayang din kasi ang consultation fees di ba? In my 7th week, I was hospitalized for severe tummy upset. I ate something bad and the pain wouldn't go away, so I needed to be confined. Since my exact predicament that time was not yet determined and because I was pregnant, my OB (the one associated with our health insurance) was called. I felt I wasn't attended to very well and I was very disappointed. Kaya after I was out of the released, di na ako bumalik dun sa OB na yun. I went back to my original OB, the one who handled my first pregnancy.

hi again everyone!

just wondering, my wife had a nosebleed kanina when she stood up to go to the washroom from bed. medyo maraming blood from her nose, pero it stopped din naman agad.. according to the internet, normal naman daw yun? wala lang, nakaka-freak lang (knowing me and my paranoia these days).. anyone here experienced this?

thanks!

AE... did you guys inform her OB? what did the OB say???

DRAINDEAD... err, if OB says it won't affect the baby, then I guess you shouldn't worry...but if you're still anxious about it, get a 2nd opinion :)

May... yun ang ayaw namin sa doctors usually attached to health cards... kahit sa pedia, when yakee gets sick, usually bumabalik kami sa main pedia nya kasi nabibwisit lang ako dun sa available sa health card...

Consult an ENT aside from OB so that her nasal passageways will be visualized to check for nasal polyps.

Hello. Been a while since I PExed.
Last Tuesday, my hubby and I got the joy of our life when the HPT showed that I was positive. I was 2 weeks delayed kasi. A few days later, I saw very tiny brown spots. Then, this morning, a significant amount of blood oozed out of me. I thought I suddenly got my period, but the whole day naman, no blood came out again.
I read that this could be a chemical pregnancy. I might have had a miscarriage. Please do shed light. Thanks

I had some spotting early in my first pregnancy, it turned out to be nothing but I can understand how worried you must be. Please visit your OB ASAP.

Cervical erosion is common in women who are sexually active or in women at the reproductive age. As what you're OB had said, it really won't affect your pregnancy. Low back pain may be caused by urinary tract infection, lack of sleep, or ligamental pain as the uterus enlarges (because the uterine ligaments like the round ligaments are being stretched). Have a urinalysis done to rule out urinary tract infection. And forget cervical erosion!! A lot of women examined during their annual pap smear have this.

ang galing-galing naman, nagbabaikan ayo dito :) Anyway, congrats sa pregnancy sis but better talaga na you hightail na to a doctor agad to check... as a rule, bleeding is not good anytime during a pregnancy... and although there are many cases naman na nothing was wrong despite the bleeding, best talaga to have yourself checked (as in trans vaginal ultrasound!)

wala din ako alam sis.... kasi hindi naman ako sa makati med... ang alam ko lang, the mom i spoke to before at my pedia's clinic was admitted sa ward ng Makati Med and sumuko sya... kasi ang dumi daw, ang bagal ng service, etc... basically something she''d expect in a public hospital but not in a private one kasi PAY WARD naman sya...

mas better pa daw ang PGH tas mag-private room ka na lang (or two in a room) kesa sa ward sa Makati Med...

and ikaw ang makakasagot kasi kung ano ang willing kang i-compromise... ako, kaartehan man, but I was adamant that my husband can be with me during the labor/delivery... and I would rather JUST ONE doctor is in-charge of me... hindi pwede samin yung iba-ibang doctors.... pero kami yun, ayaw namin ng hassle... pero if you're not easily hassled naman and your budget is really limited, ok na din yan siguro... i mean some give birth nga at Fabella lang, okay naman sila :)

but do try other hospitals din kaya.... backread ka dito, Dr. Sese from Lourdes Hospital sound both maalaga and cheap :)

anyway...kala ko before pag delivery, lalo na CS, hindi ganun kalaki difference ng PF ng OB... tipong kasi, it's the same cut... at yung pedia ang times two nga... mali pala ako :)

Having a twins is a high risk. Having a VSD puts the pregnant on a higher risk. Availing of the HSP of MMC is a reasonable one. A 40K bill for a twin CS is already fair enough. HSP means that you have to be taken cared of by the OB Residents, not the consultants (the residents will just refer your case to the consultant-in-charge). The residents are doctors who already passed their medical board exams. These are the doctors who wanted to be specialized in OB-GYN. The consultants are the one who already finished this specialization. Kaya iba-iba ang tumitingin sa 'yo because you are under the HSP Program and it depends on whoever is on-duty at the HSP. HSP is a sort of "charity" program ng MMC wherein doctor fees are for free but you have to pay for your laboratories, medicines, and hospital bill. (I guess other private hospitals, like UST, for example, has this kind of program, too). It is different from the MMC Maternity Package wherein the patient has to pay for the prenatal check-ups with the consultants of their own choice. The hospital bill din for a singleton CS delivery under Maternity Package is P65K. The patient is admitted at a semi-private room, where in the partition are 4 walls and hindi kurtina(mag-isa lang ang patient sa room but the CR is common with other 5 or 6 patients). In HSP, patient is admitted in the ward separated by a curtain for each patient (but it's an air-conditioned ward!!! unlike other hospitals na pag charity ward ang napasukan mo, magdadala ka pa ng sariling electric fan). Kung magpra-private ka naman, prepare at least 150-180K for a CS twin delivery. So, I guess a 40K for a CS twin delivery under HSP is really a reasonable one!!!

Jul 13, 2008, 01:57 PM
I forgot to add that since you have VSD and twins, you have to prepare more than P40K because we don't know yet the outcome of your pregnancy. Having twins also will increase your risk of having a preterm labor kaya prepare more than P40k. Baka ma-admit ka or ma-deiver prematurely.
If you have the intention of transferring to another hospital, do it as early as possible. Some hospitals/doctors don't like to admit patients who don't have prenatal check-ups with them

matagal-tagal na nga. ehhe. Ngayon lang ako talaga nagka time to PEx. Thanks for the input ha? I'm still monitoring things here. I'm quite wary of going to OB here in Singapore kasi iba ang patakaran nila and OVER sa expensive ang check up dito.

Bostsip: long time no see here at PEX. Congrats on your pregnancy. Hey don't they pay people to have kids in Singapore?

Bleeding isn't a good sign. I got confined last week because I had bleeding and the ultrasound showed a blood clot. Basically I am now on bed rest because of the threatened miscarriage. I was 6 weeks pregnant when the bleeding happened so it's best to go see an OB about this because you might lose your baby.

You are under HSP Program and that's why the doctor/s who will deliver you will be the OB residents. Consultant/s-in-charge are informed once you are admitted, however, they or they may not be present during your delivery. You are the OB resident's patient. Lahat ng hospital under "Charity Program," ganito ang set-up. OB residents ang nagdedeliver. If you really want to have a consultant deliver you, magiging private case ka. Ibig sabihin, you have to pay a lot!! I think even the case of your mom who underwent an operation for myoma was under HSP din. Kasi the rate of private case for an operation like your mom's case will reach to about P120K to P150K if it was a private case in MMC. And yet, na-satisfy naman kayo sa service during that time. Don't worry, the OB residents are okay...

uhm ayessa... hindi ko kasi alam what you have pero ano ba ang sabi ng OB mo, how will it complicate your pregnancy, your labor and your delivery? I think kasi yun ang dapat pinakaalam mo... and ikaw din mag-weigh if the savings will be worth it, or you really need a specialist to attend to you...

tama na you need to prepare more than P40k kasi complications can happen...

and yes, twins often arrive early... pero the minute you hit 37th week, you can schedule a CS na if you want :) full-term na din ang turing sa kanila non...

dapat din may Plan B ka...in case nga mag-labor ka and something goes wrong, dapat alam mo san ka pede pumunta instead of going all the way to Makati (lalo pa if matapat sa rush hour traffic ang labor mo)

Kaya leave it all to them. Basta kailangan well-informed ka lang.

ayessa dear... hindi naman siguro ikaw ang unang case ng OB mo na parang naging allergic sa discharge mo during your pregnancy..am assumming kasi that's the reason din why your uti won't quit...

that or the raging hormones triggered some kidney problem... pero feeling ko talaga it's allergies...an oversensitivity...

hindi rin uncommon yan...some nga lang get allergic lang to their own sweat...

anyway, work with your doctors... you don't want the infection to continue kasi it can trigger contractions...

maybe din you can get a second opinion from another OB... and maybe you can make kulit your OB for the explanations for everything kasi sya dapat mag-explain sayo bat ka ganyan and bat mo kelangan mga gamot mo... :)

ayessa, did your MMC HSP doctors request for urine culture and sensitivity? baka resistant lahat ng bacteria sa mga nainom mong gamot. also, pregnant women are also susceptible to recurrent urinary tract infection because of lowered immune response during pregnancy. did you have your blood sugar tested? hindi ka ba diabetic? usually the discharge might be because of candidiasis which is really very itchy. tell your OB doctors to request for wet smear to verify the presence of fungal infection

hello. resident ako ng Hong Kong thread sa T&L forums. i'm 18 weeks pregnant.

i had a threatened abortion on my 12th week. have a low lying placenta and bled profusely. buti nalang medical city's near lang. everything looks ok na now. just waiting for the next ultrasound to see if the placenta migrated na.

anyway, hi to all the moms out there!

ayessa from what I've read there are no tests that prove that there are no negative effects of hair coloring, IMHO it's better not to take the risk.

Li'l Sistah hi and welcome to the thread.

firefoxx... i think depende sa doctor... some doctors request one during the first trimester... and another one around the last trimester... some naman request for one, or several, if you're having complications like spotting (to check if may hormonal something ka that may be triggering contractions)

ayessa... i'm so sorry to hear that... i know pregnancy is hard enough as it is, lalo na may mga ganyang discomforts ka pa.... just try to keep that area dry and lalong avoid sugary foods...

hello mga sis...:) at last, it's my rest day na tomorrow..grabe na kase ako mapagod. Question lang po *** mga blood testing and glucose ba isang beses lang ba *** ginagawa? i mean kung nagbllod testing ka na hindi na ba ulit uulitin un before ka manganak?

thanks! :)

First few visits (usually done on the 1st trimester): CBC, Blood typing (ABO & Rh), VDRL, HBsAg, anti-HBs, Rubella IgG and IgM. Glucose is tested if high-risk, i.e., if with family history of diabetes. Transvaginal ultrasound is usually done to check if live pregnancy, how many fetus, intrauterine or extrauterine.

Between 18-22 weeks: Ultrasound for congenital anomaly scan is requested.

Between 24-28 weeks: 50 g Oral glucose challenge test (screening test for diabetes)

Third trimester near due date: Repeat CBC, repeat ultrasound to check presentation if cephalic or breech, estimated fetal weight.

Check "what's up doc" regarding candidiasis/yeast infection. Candidiasis is really recurrent and it can usually be seen in immunocompromised state (and pregnancy is considered as one).

if pregnancy is uncomplicated, it's just the cbc that is requested before due date. however, ob-gyns request for pelvic ultrasound just to be sure if the estimated fetal weight is heavy or not, to confirm if the baby's head is down or is it the buttocks or feet. Just imagine, if you have a 9 pound baby inside you (and of course, Filipino frames/hips are really small compared to caucasians or pacific islanders), would you risk having a normal vaginal delivery or will you opt for a cesarean section?

firefoxx... some OBs (tho dapat ata all OBs pero since common ang O blood type satin, and Pinoys are often RH positive naman so they don't always bother) ask for the Mom's blood type.... kasi it helps them determine din if they should expect jaundice (like in cases na type O yung blood ni Mommy, mas malaki ang tendency na may jaundice si baby if hindi sila pareho ng blood type, or RH negative ang blood type ni Mommy, na rare nga)...

in cases din na there's bleeding, pain or other abnormalities, your doctor might perform a BPP on top of the pelvic ultrasound... BPP (biophysical profile) is just a special ultrasound where certain things are checked and measured (para ding congenital anomaly scan), lalo na if the level of amniotic fluid has to be monitored...

pero generally, expect lang an IE pag kabuwanan mo na... they'd check kasi if your cervix is ripening as it should, if nag-open na sya etc....

mine ripened but didn't open... my baby also didnt lighten (get into postion) kaya ako na-CS

oh and if hindi ka maselan and kabuwanan mo na...google exercise ekek you can do and walk, walk, walk!!! it will really help in the pushing (at least ok endurance mo)... get a massage (light, pre-natal) din, it helps with edema :)

i've read somewhere sa cebupacific, they allow 6-8mos.old expectant mothers kaya lang they have to fill out a form.

what if maliit lang ang tummy at mukhang less than 6 wks hindi na ba nila papansinin.. hehe

hello Mommies-to-be!!

I'm a newbie here on this thread. I'm on my ninth week of pregnancy. Medyo ok lang naman. I don't have terrible morning sickness di kagaya ng iba. I just don't know sa next coming months baka may worst pa dito. Ang usual sickness ko lang would be in the afernoon. I will start being very tired kahit wala namang ginagawa. It was my worst sickness nung naamoy ko sya... para akong nanghina and so i wasn't able to eat.

Cry-baby din ako without any major cause.

I will be having my first prenatal on Aug 4.

For sure, mag-shop around na siguro ako for new clothes.

Ok.... this is me for now.

hi there!!!

yung una, ang nakalagay lang;
escherichia coli 60,000 CFU/ML
Group D Streptococci (enterococci) 20,000 CFU/ML.

escherichia coli 4,000 CFU/ML
Group B Beta-hemolytic Streptococci 20,000 CFU/ML,
Group D Streptococci (enterococci) 50,000 CFU/ML

:mecry:

pagtyagaan mo nalang, ganyan talaga. By law, you are allowed maternity leave up to 60 calendar days for normal delivery and 75 days for CS. Depende na yan sa employer mo if you get special privileges like extra leave credits or what. My advice, and I say this from experience, is for your leave to take effect as close to your due date as possible. Think of it this way: your maternity leave will be best enjoyed to the full 60 (or 75 days) when you have your baby in your arms already.

Hi mga mommies!

I'm on my 29th week and we just had an ultrasound. As per ultrasound, we'll be having a girl pero not 100% sure. Kasi yung regular ultrasound lang naman ang pinagawa namin not the 4D or 3D.
Ok lang sobrang hapi kasi we're really praying for a baby girl this time coz our eldest is a boy.

Has anyone here experience that?

We want to do it by 4D ultrasound sana kaso ang mahal 6K! Sabi ko wag na lang. I can feel it naman na girl ito e. really praying for that..:)

Jul 30, 2008, 11:41 AM
nothing wrong naman with a regular ultrasound. you can have another regular ultrasound in a couple of months and baka mas ma identify na ang gender by then. 3D and 4D's make your ultrasound special but if it's too much on the pocket, wag na lang.

diba if the ultrasound shows a boy, usually it's a boy na talaga. pero if it's a girl nga, may chances na mali. 3D/4D isn't 6000 naman... mga 3500 meron na, maganda. sa In My Womb. sa medical city, 4200 (parang ganun). but you have to be around 6-7 months para maganda yung capture. true, nothing grand, just your baby on 3d and real time video (but syempre, priceless).

abdominal ultrasounds are pretty accurate naman, provided that your baby cooperates. my first two girls showed them being girls during the 5th month scan and they were girls at birth (hehe). when i had a transvaginal at 12 weeks (because of the threatened abortion) the ob-sonologist at medical city saw na nga the gender, but told me to come back sa 2nd trimester para mas defined yung organs, she told me though that it looked like a boy back then. so when i went back last week, confirmed nga na boy. even the image showed the small putots (hehe)... so unlike the "hamburger shape" pag girl.

usually kasi... pag parang textbook case naman yung pregnancy, OBs won't order more tests kasi they find it unnecessary...

even yung congenital anomaly scan is not SOP, pag meron lang difficulties during the pregnancy, or strong history of something in the family...

and yung mga oral glucose challenge test.... around last sem na inoorder minsan ng doctor...

BUT...if you are feeling anything weird, kahit paranoid ka lang, consult your OB... you have the perfect excuse to be paranoid naman eh :) pero kung wala naman, then be thankful actually for the savings... :)

im on my 5th month na, pero gusto ng parents ko mag-switch ako sa male OB kasi daw sa experience nila mas may "presence of mind" daw yung male OB's lalo na pag emergencies. kasi nag 50-50 at birth si mama, yung female OB nya raw nagpanic na, tapos nagintervene yung male OB sa kabilang DR room at na-save si mama. ayoko mapraning dito, di ko iniisip itong mga emergency kasi regular naman ang check ups ko. iniintindi ko nalang na first pregnancy sa family namin ito and Im the only daughter kaya siguro sila ganon.

ano ba disadvantage/advantage ng male at female OB? i dont mind shifting to a male OB but at 5 months di kaya late na at ginugulo ko lang isipan ko?

Li'l Sistah
Aug 4, 2008, 09:44 PM
^^^i've had both male and female OBs. male yung OB ko sa US with my firstborn. he had lotsa patients and all 5 consultation rooms in his clinic had bulletin boards filled to the brim with photos of babies and kids plus letters from parents. sikat sya, so he had lotsa patients. the downside to having him was super mahal yung PF and consultation fees nya (back then, it was like $200 per visit, without insurance).

here in the PI, i've had female OBs lang. pansin ko lang na yung medyo oldie ko na OB (from my previous pregnancy), di nagshare ng mobile number. so pag may emergency, i have to wait for her clinic to open. :P nyar. so i switched OBs for this pregnancy. my OB now is always on call, even in the wee hours of the morning. she's young, but i trust her more.

my nanny (who is also pregnant) has a male OB, ok naman daw.

i would say "presence of mind" is a trait either a male or female can possess. you just have to choose wisely. my aunt, who lost a baby at birth back in the 70s because her female OB failed to detect a burst ovary, is partial to male OBs as well. she was the one who referred me to my male OB in the US.

but i think a doctor's abilities and pagiging alisto is relative. kung baga, hindi lang dahil babae or lalaki, ok ka na or better (or worse). :D

im on my 5th month na, pero gusto ng parents ko mag-switch ako sa male OB kasi daw sa experience nila mas may "presence of mind" daw yung male OB's lalo na pag emergencies. kasi nag 50-50 at birth si mama, yung female OB nya raw nagpanic na, tapos nagintervene yung male OB sa kabilang DR room at na-save si mama. ayoko mapraning dito, di ko iniisip itong mga emergency kasi regular naman ang check ups ko. iniintindi ko nalang na first pregnancy sa family namin ito and Im the only daughter kaya siguro sila ganon.

ano ba disadvantage/advantage ng male at female OB? i dont mind shifting to a male OB but at 5 months di kaya late na at ginugulo ko lang isipan ko?

i guess hindi masisisi parents mo for their prejudice...but that's really what it is, a pejudice

presence of mind is not a matter of sex/gender...

ako naman, am sure there are excellent male OBs out there...but apart from me siguro not being comfy with a male one, i like lang the fact din na the female OBs at least have a better idea of what mothers go through since they also go through it...

^^^yes, my OB with my second-born, although hesitant to have me go through delivery via lamaze agreed only because her bunso had problems when she gave birth. naabutan daw ng anesthesia *** baby nya (which is intended for the mom lang and not the baby), so pumayag sya when i insisted na lamaze ako. sa panganay ko kasi, lamaze ako sa US.

3rd patient lang ata nya ako na natural childbirth. pero bilang mom herself, she understood my concerns on giving birth without meds. :)

hello sis! tama ka! had my check up last saturday and i asked my o.b regarding early maternity leave. it depends daw sa company kase yon kung early daw ako mag leave baka early din daw ako bumalik ng office kase baka mabawasan *** leave credits ko for maternity..sabi pa nga ng o.b kahit hanggang mag due daw ako pwde poa din daw ako pumasok depende na daw sa akin yun at sa company. balak ko sana september 2nd week or 3rd week due ko ng 1st week ng october.. any idea?tama ba yung plan ko for leave?haaayy so tired na talaga..kaya puro leave ako at s.l nagtitiyaga na lang ako :(

Maswerte lang siguro ako na my home is so near my workplace. Kaya nung buntis pa ako, I planned to maximize my maternity leave talaga by continuing to work hanggang sa feel ko na talaga ang labor. The day I went into labor and I was advised by my OB to be admitted na, I informed my office and yun na rin ang simula ng maternity leave ko. I had the full 60 days all to my baby.

Siguro assess mo nalang situation mo. Pero mas masarap talaga na mas mahaba ang panahon with you actually holding your baby rather than you moping around waiting for labor dahil tinatamad ka na pumasok.

CS po :) hindi nga kasi ako nagba-braxton hicks and i never went into labor :)

oh and mga girls.... lahat ata tayo we feared na what if mapaanak tayo sa fx or daan or wherever.... but konti lang yung ganun, unless mag-labor kayo and give birth within an hour... which is also very seldom :)

labor usually lasts for hours and may weekly check-up naman kayo to check if you've dilated na... i just mean, there is more than enough time for you to get somewhere so long as aware kayo sa signs ng labor and sa sinasabi ng katawan ninyo...

Aug 12, 2008, 05:19 AM
 Mec, 3 days before I gave birth, I was having my belly cast done. Just in time!

And yeah girls, seldom lang talaga nangyayari ang birth wherever. Usually you can get to a hospital naman in time because labor takes a while. Fear ko nga dati yun eh. But labor can start nga even days before you actually give birth, it gets stronger when it's time and will last for hours!! Usually you will know when it's time to be at the hospital na.

confious... dapat practice nga na around latter part of your third trimester eh you will have another ultrasound :) pero baka kasi nakakapa naman ng OB mo na in position na si baby (and upto the last moment naman, ang mga babies pwedeng magbago ng isip!)

you can get checked for titers for toxoplasmosis if gusto mo mapalagay ang loob mo.
chances are, if you've had a cat for a long time, you've already had toxoplasmosis and are immune to it already which means you cannot pass it on to your baby anymore

hi! i'm new sa thread na to. 13 weeks and 4 days pregnant. i'm advised to be on bed rest by my ob kc i had bleeding last monday. nag-open ang cervix ko so there was a threatened abortion. sobrang natakot talaga ako.
this is my second pregnancy. sa panganay ko kahit hirap akong magbuntis kinaya ko ang normal physical activities. dito sa pangalawa madali ako mapagod. nung nag-bleed nga ako wala naman ako ginawa, except that i was stressed sa pag-aaway namin ng hubby ko.
doctor advised na huwag na raw ako mag-isip at magkikikilos, so i chose na humanap ng pagkakaabalahan that will help me keep positive thoughts.
has anybody here experienced being on bed rest?

ako sis. hehe. nastress din ako kay hubby nung mga 12 weeks ako, tapos pag gising ko the following morning, may bleeding na. as in grabe yung bleeding. na-rush ako sa medical city tapos 2 hours ako sa pre-labor room nila (kasi madaling araw, sarado pa women's clinic) waiting for the Transvaginal Ultrasound at 8am.

turns out i had a low-lying placenta, so threatened abortion, but the cervix was still closed and amniotic fluid was ok, sac intact, etc. baby was active.

so bedrest ako, complete with bedpan, for 2 weeks initially. medicine ko was duphaston and isoxilan. then extended ako ng 4 more weeks. halos every 5 days lang ako kung magshower, puro sponge bath lang, because di talaga pwedeng tumayo.

cousin ko kasi before, same situation, spotting because of a low lying placenta, na-previa sya, tapos n-abrupto, tapos na butas ang amniotic sac, nag leak, nag pre-term, and sadly, the baby didn't make it at 25 weeks yun. :( kasi she didn't completely follow her OB's instructions to be on bedrest. she still got up to piss, take a bath, surf the net, etc.

so i took extra precaution na. good thing naman kasi at 18weeks, nakita sa ultrasound that my placenta migrated na and i can resume all activities na, except that i have to take it easy. no stairs, no driving long distances, no extra stress, no sitting for long periods of time. kasi based on the last ultrasound, i was experiencing transient myometrial contractions, and at that early a stage, dapat wala yun.

good luck, sis. just take it easy, and konting sacrifice for the baby. it will be more than worth the bedrest. i had bed sores on my first week of lying down pala, and my veins sa feet throbbed and hurt when i first started walking. grabe, but all worth it. :D you shouldn't be on the net pa nga, stay in bed. read books, watch series or something. pray. :D

Yeah I even got my cat tested for Toxoplasmosis. Good thing he didn't have it. My OB wanted me to test for it but it was much much cheaper to get the cat tested. P900 lang yung testing ng cat while if I got tested it would be P4600. For your peace of mind, you can go get yourself tested at St. Lukes. Or you can get your cat tested

Anyway if your cat is indoors and has never set foot on soil, you're pretty safe from toxo. Besides, unless you put your fingers in your mouth after handling cat crap with your bare hands then that's really the only time you'll get toxoplasmosis.

It's more common to get toxoplasmosis from handling raw meat though. So when you're doing the one cooking, please take great care and make sure your meat is well cooked and never put your fingers in your mouth after handling raw meat.

Hi Onirach! Minsan once a day lang, minsan nga every other day pa. Pero feel na feel ko naman kapag gumagalaw siya. usually, pag first baby nyo, di nyo pa narerecognize ang movements ni baby. it starts like there are butterflies in your stomach, parang small bubbles na pumuputok. tapos, it gets stronger as the weeks go by. soon, you will know na definitely baby nyo yung gumagalaw. :D

sa first baby ko (i was super young then), i used to place the tv remote on my tummy to monitor movements. lalo na sa 20th week and up, kasi nadidistinguish na daw ng baby ang pag touch nyo sa tummy nyo... nafifeel din nya. hehe.

hayaan mo, pagsasawaan nyo din yan when the time comes. ang alam ko, mahina magpickup ng heart beat ng baby ang stethoscope, you need a doppler device for that. ewan ko lang kung medyo malaki na (like 8-9months? doctors? anyone?)...

Nagspotting ako last week, as in konting red line lang nakita ko sa tissue nung magwipe ako after ko umihi.

^around 5-6 mos ideal time para macheck yung gender kasi that time palang nagde-descend yung testes pag baby boy so mas clear na makikita. we had it sa 5th month baby boy "daw" so uulitin namin para sure na

1st time to be pregnant & i wonder if im really pregnant coz im so abnormal. it was definitely positive & i have an ob-gyne doctor already. she said i should count my blessings because i don't even any of those normal physical symptoms for pregnancy. still, inspite of what she assured me about, i still have doubts. i mean i don't get morning sickness nor throw up over food just like almost everyone pregnant does. i don't even crave for food. i'm only on my 1st tri (3rd month) & is this really normal?

ang swerte mo naman! yung SIL ko ganyan din, lumalaki lang yung tiyan, kaya nagawa pa nila itago sa family niya before sila ikasal ng brother ko. if you want to make sure or really feel na preggy ka you can have an ultrasound para makita at marinig mo na rin yung heartbeat ng baby mo. ;)

^^^ah, may mga OBs kasi na nagrerequest ng abdominal untrasound (lalo na pag may complications) during the 5th or 6th month. pero kung habol mo ay yung 3d/4d, best time talaga yung 7th month.

MoonStruck... my SIL was like that... she even got to go to Divi a lot when she was preggy and mega shop talaga kasi the most abnrmal she felt was a slight aversion to the smell of her feminine wash... as in yun lang!

Swerte ka :)

While yung iba naman, anything that may scent, parang pinapatay sila.... the good news lang for those na grabe ang aversions and nausea is, statistically, lower ang miscarriage/pre-term risks nila because of all the hormonal assault... :)

I came from my OB checkup yesterday and my OB is guessing that it's a boy because of the fast heartbeat. Oh well. Anyway, we'll find out in a month's time when I do my next ultrasound.

Kung boy, ganun talaga. I just hope Yuri won't bully his younger sibling too much. May makings na of a little bully. Mana daw sa kin according to my mudra. Tsk tsk. :p Hubs kasi was bullied, by his 10 older sisters.

Hi Li'l Sistah. Sa Monday pa ako magpapa-check-up ulit. Sayang mga, 1 malaking can yung binili namin. I still have to try drinking skim milk kung ganun din yung effect sakin. :depressed:

It's probably Sciatica (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sciatica). I had that during my pregnancy too.

sneezy, parang nakakatakot naman yung ibang causes Sciatica other than pregnancy! Anong medication yung binigay sayo ng OB mo?

My OB didn't prescribe anything.

Rolfing (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rolfing) is what got rid of it.
