Hi there xyndirit...so, how far along are you? I had my second child 4 months ago and it was quiet an experience. Both my pregnancies went good, I didn't have any problems nor complications, hindi rin ako naglihi, I was really lucky. I also continued my aerobics and weighlifting classes until my third trimester. But when I hit my eigth month, I told my husband that I will change my workout plan to just walking. And working out really helps, my first child was a breeze, I had him vaginally.

Now, my second one was a different story. Somehow, he was in the wrong position (not breech), so I had to have a C-section. I never thought C-section could be very painful until that day, especially the recuperating period. Both of my kids were born 8 lbs 5 oz.

I'm back in track now, back to my workout routine. Thank God I have a job that won't allow me to be overweight so I don't have any choice but to loose my baby fat. Tell me more about your pregnancy.......

hi everybody!

salamat NOKiE , cmars2, 11# UST_guard'98 (Go! USTeeeeee....BSHRM '98), 1killboy (learn from the experts!) and stnickmt.

wow! stnickmt, superwoman ha! i used to run with my hubby before i got pregnant, but now i can't even last a minute and hinihingal na ako! this is our first and i'm on my 6th month now. ang hiraaaaaapppp!!! sinong nagsabing madali ang magbuntis?
:scream:

i used to convince my husband to go back to the Phils. and spend 9 months with my family. I really crave for manggang hilaw with bagoong. those that came from mexico is noooooo good. so i ate lemon instead.

during my first trimester, i only ate ham and cheese sandwich and melon. then after that, i guess pinaglihian ko spaghetti. we would always go to Jollibee in union city (eventhough parang carinderia!) just to eat.

well, that's it for now..i'll be back..gotta work...

hey speedracer! want to share something? *poke*

hi paouee

it was easter sunday when i started having these weird feelings. parang ulcer. i thought i was food poisoned from the party! my co-worker asked me if we can eat out (everybody in our office loves jap food!) just the idea of eating sushi made me ****!! so she told me right then that i was pregnant. i didn't believe her of course. then i had this test and the doctor told me that i'm almost 6 weeks!! weirdest feeling ever. my husband and i were shocked then i cried. it's like you're underage and you don't know what to do. because i always make sure to take my pill. so it was really a BIG BLOW!!! (i love telling people about my story because it only shows that pills aren't 100% effective. both you and your partner should have protection.)

n-e-wayz, it was a blessing though. for some reason, our lives took a 360 in just one day. everything changed. everybody was happy.

although a lot of people told me pregnancy is going to be a breeze, THAT IS NOT TRUE!!! :bawl:

boy, the first trimester was so hard, i always go home an hour early. i'm on my second trimester now, going to third and i still feel the same. :)

plus he's getting heavier by the minute. i learned about the sex a month ago.

well, paouee, you know what you can do for your baby right now? drink FOLIC ACID. you can buy them at the local drugstore. drink lots of milk. veggies. and NO SODA (rootbeer lang ang ininom ko). although yung mga hindi mo kinakain na food dati medyo may appeal na sa yo ngayon pa lang. hinay lang.

haba reply ko no? excited lang..:D

register ka sa website na to para alam mo what to do:
www.babycenter.com

have fun!;)

u mean to say ur still underage?... how young are u then?how long have u been there>?is ur husband working already?... im just 20 ... medyo biglaan when i knew i was expecting kc i have just graduated from college & my bf(wer not yet married) is stil studying... but happy na rin,,, i mean, im gonna be a mom... im excited na nga e...

but one thinbg im worrying about is that our parents still dont know about it... well wait for the right itme for us to confront them... any words of wisdom on how are we going to confront them in a right way to where they are going to accept it freely? i know at first tyhey'll get mad... im going to accept it... later on, they'll understand & be excited of it... (i hope)...

well the site u gave me i think does not exist... it says:"host not found..." i want to know more about that site & about pregnancy... just a question, is junkfoods bad in the 1st trimester?... kc i love chippy. i eat it everyday... is it bad? i love it since birth kc... sori i have a lot of questions... hope to hear from u soon!!! take care!

hi paouee

i'm already 25 yrs. old. :) when i learned that i was preggy i felt "takot". like what u’re feeling right now. well, girl, you have to tell your parents about it A-S-A-P dahil you REALLY need help now that u’re preggy. They'll be mad of course, for the first 5 to 10 minutes. But after that, concern na sila sa yo. They'll be more excited than you will be, i'll bet. NOW is the right time. this is the time where you shouldn’t feel bad.

You should always be happy!!

About “chippy”, forget about it for 9 months. Junk nga eh. Not healthy for the baby. anything you eat, think about your baby. drink milk. Buy folic acid (any local drugstore), you need about 600 mcg everyday (one tablet) plus of course, your prenatal vitamin. may OB ka na ba? important yan para ma test ka na.

Babycenter.com is the best website for expectant mothers (for dads too!) if you register, they will send you emails (every week) about what you can/ can’t do, how your baby develops, they have polls and the community center is great!!!

:D

if u still have q's, don't hesitate ask. i may not know everything, but i can still help, im sure. clueless din ako about 6 months ago.

have fun!:D

ladies (paouee n xyndirit),

you should put yourselves in your parents shoes. try to think about it and how you would feel if your own daughter tells you that she is pregnant without the benefit of marriage. Your initial reaction would be similar to their reaction. In any case, you should tell ASAP because you need their support and understanding. Relying too much on your boyfriend who would have his own problems when he tells his own parents would put you on a disadvantage. And there is a nagging question : What if my boyfriend quits on me now? then what? Nothing is sure in life. You just have to be prepared for any eventuality.

Being pregnant is a lot of fun and lots of hardwork. i still remember when my wife was pregnant with our eldest daughter, we were all excited. I was concerned about her health and the baby's health. my wife was more concerned on the things she would have to buy for the baby. we did not let the doctor tell us the sex of the baby. we just wanted to surprise ourselves at birth and thank God for a healthy baby.

paouee: stop eating junk food. especially chippy, may salt content. baka at this early age, manasin ka at lumobo ka ng husto. try to think positive and of happy things. at this early stage, get a walkman or a discman and an earphone. place the earphone in your belly and play some soothing music. the baby will like that. and try reading to your baby. there are so many things you can do to your baby at this stage. first and foremost, take care of yourself. and pray a lot. hope all of this helps.

hi jpljon

FYI: i'm happily married!!! :) i'm just saying na it caught us off guard when i learned i was pregnant dahil nga im taking the pill.

n-e-wayz, yeah im doing the walkman thingie cause i believe it'll make my baby "grow smarter" (a lot of people still frowns at this theory). i don't care...

it's good that you know these things (junkies 'n all that), a lot of dads are totally clueless with regards to pregnancy.

hmn..you're a good man... *okay*

Hey preggies!! congratulations on your baby!

As a dad, I know all the **** that you guys are going through :D well, lemme give you some tips here-- first of all, when you deliver, you will have to choose between three methods---epidural, regular anesthesia, or normal. but it depends on the hospital. Trust me, YOU DON'T WANT NORMAL. :D It's as painful as fck and can cause you to pass out. Epidural is painless and quick but some sort of plastic needle will be inserted between your backbone and will hurt like you've never felt before!!!! but after an hour it's gone. The "regular" anestesia aint good either because your baby will be snoring when he gets out. (not good)
So do yourself a favor and take the epidural. TAKE MY WORD FOR IT.

To future dad(s)--- get those credit cards ready! You'd be paying TONS of bills that you've never seen before in your entire life. Also, you might want to stack up some coffee in the brewer CAUSE YOU ARE NOT GONNA GET SOME SLEEP ANYTIME SOON.. :D I would enjoy sleeping as much as I can right now because when your baby freaks out--lol all hell will break loose. FUN. LOTS OF FUN. Been there, endured that ;)

and that's just the start of the fun!

Bet your husband has been getting some sleep all night eh? tell him he needs to enjoy it as much as he can. because when you have the baby, he better put some toothpicks between his eyelids because you will feed your baby every 2 hours. Yep. that means no sleep at all. FUN. LOTS OF FUN.

But you know what.. the best thing about having a baby is LOVE.. you know that feeling when you get home and he crawls to you with those eyes.... then suddenly you're not tired from work anymore! gotta love that feeling..

Good luck to you!

Aug 4, 2001, 04:24 PM
Anyways,

This thread might help. I posted this up when my wife was just 4 months preggy...

Aug 4, 2001, 04:33 PM
ALSO---

1. when you claim him/her as a dependant, that means LESS tax to Uncle Sam.. how wonderful is that!!

2. You can now file jointly. well I don't know about next year but this year, those who files separately will get $300 while those who filed jointly will get $600. Gotta love Uncle sam!

3. But your insurance will kill you. (depends on your company and coverage) they will or they might include your baby. If they didn't, you will end up paying for his insurance.

4. Minor hospital bills--- although most of this will be covered by your insurance (if you have one), you will still pay the remainder. My hospital bill is $1500. we're paying it like what---$5 a month? :D

5. Gotta hit your local WalMart, Target, or Kmart and start looking for carseats, baby toys, clothings, etc

6. tip lang--- DON'T BUY HIM TOO MUCH DRESS!! He will end up growing and not wearing some of them. YES they DO grow FAST.

7. wach out when you're changing diapers--- watch out for those rashes because if they are left untreated, they can be really painful!!

ok i'm done typing. good luck and have fun with your baby!!! ;)

Aug 4, 2001, 04:43 PM
Sorry but I can't agree with the headphone/walkman thingie. I believe that babies have thinner eardrums than of us adults--yes, even if played at a normal lever, the SPL(sound pressure level) is strong enough to possibly damage their eardrums at such a young age. (I read it from Parenting Magazine) ;)

But DO talk to your baby in a mild voice.

Damnit, I can't believe I know all these. Next thing that I should learn----cooking! :p

xyndirit
Aug 7, 2001, 10:06 AM
hey :Ž

thanks for the epidural note, i know for sure am getting that!!! (can't even stand blood tests!!!)
:D

it's a good thing UNCLE SAM is taking care of me! ang mahal pala ng doctor's visit dito no? and i go there every 3 weeks!! golly!!

hey i checked out your forum..hmn..obvious clueless ka before ha? we have no problem with that...
;)

question though: pano yung sinasabi nila na we can claim the baby when paying taxes? totoo ba yung makukuha din namin lahat ng nagastos?

salamat..

Hello!
Congrats, jovhelle! Good for you, hindi ka nahirapan! WTG! *okay*
I'm due mid july, but my OB said pwede na ko by end of june!! I'm excited at the same time natatakot.. Kasi i'll be getting a ligation na rin.. I'm afraid of the epidural, pag tinusok na likod ko..
Boy ang baby ko.. He is so likot, always kicking and moving.. PAcMAn siguro to paglaki, sakit ng mga sipa and suntok nya, esp sumisiksik pa sa ribs..
And di na rin ko masyado nakakatulog..I would watch tv till 1am kasi nun lang ko aantukin.. and then by 5am gising na, pag nafefeel kong nawiwiwi ko.. I'd try to go back to sleep.. but then, i'd think of all the things na di ko pa nabili for baby...:hmm: pano ko i-aarrange yung room..:hmm: Di ko pa nalabhan mga clothes ni baby!... :hmm: Ano kaya baon ng daughter ko tomorrow?...:hmm: haaaay.... Tapos, before i know it, maliwanag na, at time to get up na talaga!
Nice to have this thread for us moms in waiting.. it gets so boring sometimes just waiting for the big day to come.. Hope to hear more from other mommies due soon!

Congrats mommy jovhelle! What did you name your new baby boy?

camgray if you'll be getting ligated, will you be moved to an operating room or will it be done right in the delivery room? Curious lang ako :) I think normal lang yung maraming iniisip pag buntis! How old is your daughter?

Ellheym
Jun 7, 2006, 11:58 PM
hello mga mommies.. i'm on my 16th week, my first baby. narinig ko na ang heartbeat ni baby at nagpaultrasound ako nong 12th week pa lang ako nakita ko na siyang gumalaw. :) ngayon parang may nafefeel na akong butterflies or bubbles in my tummy, yon yong very slight movement niya. i can't wait to feel the real kicks.. :D

My EDD will be this coming November pa. ;)

camgray
Jun 8, 2006, 08:12 AM
Tina: I think after delivery, i will be transferred to the OR for ligation. I'm choosing epidural for anesthetic, so i'd be fully awake. tawag nila continuous epidural, they will give the anesthetic in series thru a spinal catheter para di mag wear off yung pain relief from the time i'm nearly ready (6-8cm? i'm not sure) to deliver till the ligation procedure.. the other option is sedated (ayoko nun)... My eldest daughter is 8 going 9.. my 2nd daughter will be 5y/o this month.. Baka daw magka bday pa sila ng baby boy ko! :)

Congrats Ellheym! Wish u a great first pregnancy!

iba-iba talaga ang labor ano? kasi karaniwan ng nababasa ko for FTMs eh 12 hours usually ang labor... in my case, it only took 1 hour and 20 minutes from the time the doctor broke my water till the baby came out... mga 30 minutes lang yung sobrang sakit na contraction until the time na ready na to push the baby out...

kaya ninyo 'yan... hindi ko nga maimagine yung mga nanay noong unang panahon kung paano nila natiis ang labor ng walang gamot...

jovhelle

Hi! By this time na near 3rd trimester ka na, you will start having Braxton-Hicks contractions.. Practice contractions yan, it's the normal way of the uterus of getting ready for the real thing when the big day comes. As long as the contractions are not strong and painful, it's okay, no need to be alarmed.. Medyo you will feel a bit of discomfort pag BH contractions, but it should not be painful.. If it does get painful and too frequent (as in sunod sunod, with pain), you should call your OB.. Hth.

If you can, and if your doctor permits, do some safe-for-pregnancy exercises. Walking is low impact and can do wonders. I credit it to my speedy labor:

I endured about 30 hours of pre labor pains which really hurt but was manageable and I was in active labor for only 11 minutes. I started pushing at 4pm and my son was born at 4:11pm. Considering this is my first child, even I was amazed at how fast it all went.

Dong a lot of Kegels during pregnancy and after giving birth also helped big time.

Jun 16, 2006, 06:34 AM
I recently had my pre natal check up... I mentioned sa OB ko about sa contraction too early pa daw and sobrang liit pa daw tyan ko for contraction. Ayun binigyan na ako ng pampakapit, if not effective belly support na daw ako. haaaay!! Nagworry tuloy si mother in law :D

Now, im doing kegel exercise medyo di pa ako sanay. ahihihi (shy) nakikiliti ako ahihihi!

sweetwahm
Jun 16, 2006, 08:57 AM
hehe, the good thing about kegels is you can do it anytime, anywhere, without anyone ever knowing. :D Just keep doing them, masasanay ka rin.

malamang di nga pwede sa yo ang exercise kahit light pa, so i guess you should take it easy, kittykittylala

ask ko lang kung ano yung bloody show, dun ba malalaman kung malapit ka na maglabor? ano yun, parang mentruation or spotting? ano yung naramdaman nyo before having contraction na sunod sunod talaga na every 5 minutes apart?

camgray
Jun 19, 2006, 09:57 AM
Dalee: Yung bloody show is like secretion na medyo madami. For me, it looked like sipon na may halong blood (brownish/reddish color), not bright red as in fresh.. At that time, may konting cramping lang ako nafeel.. The painful contractions came about 2 hours after the bloody show. But that was during my first baby.. Nag labor ako for 21 hours! Women differ so it may be different for you. Best thing to do when your mucus plug (bloody show) comes off, call your OB agad. She will tell u what to do. How far along are you anyway? :)

purpleheadd07
Jun 19, 2006, 11:17 AM
dalee: wa ako bloody show, or baka nung nsa delivery room na ko d ko kse tinitingnan. yung contractions parang tumitigas yung tyan mo, dpat i time mo yan. pag about every 5 mins sya, yes medyo rhythmic sya, that means malapit ng lumabas.

Ellheym: not my first baby.. 3rd na! :)

I've read that 38-40wks are considered full-term. But if you deliver around the 37th week, it's already considered full-term. My 2nd baby came at 37w/5d, considered full term na. ;) She was healthy but small at only 1.9kg (a little over 4lbs!)..

dalee
Jun 19, 2006, 10:37 PM

camgray
Jun 20, 2006, 01:02 PM
Hi dalee and Ellheym: Yup, di ako nahirapan sa labor--2 hours lang from the time nag break bag of waters ko sa house til lumabas si baby sa DR ng hosp!! She was small kasi may pre-ecplamsia ako. Good thing di ako na CS, ksi mabilis ang labor ko. Otherwise, siguradong CS na coz of pre-ec. Kakaawa nga when i saw my bby, sooo tiny and skinny. Pero she was healthy, & bilis nya lumaki..BUmawi! :)
Pwede nga kayo request for pelvimetry (xray of pelvis) sa OB nyo.. May friend ko, laki ng hips nya, pero di nya pala kayang mag normal, which they only found out sa xray. so yun, cs sya..

cmars2
Jun 21, 2006, 12:29 PM

Ellheym

So i take one in the am, and 1 at night.. of course, get plenty of rest.. kung pwede, mag leave ka muna from work.

Funny thing, i didn't feel anything to give me a clue na dilated na *** cervix ko.. hehe..right now, i have irregular contractions-very short and not very painful, and very far apart.. *** matagal pa nga eto.. :)

I gave birth through CS pero wala naman nagsabi saken na bawal magsalita pag tapos ng operation. I can't remember though kung nagsalita ako agad. Sobrang groggy pa ko after kasi I was wide awake when they cut me up hanggang sa pag labas ng bebi ko.

Hello moms! Just want to let you all know i finally had my baby boy last Thursday, July 6th at 2:49pm. Nathan is very healthy at 6lbs and 48cm. I'll post pics later.. :) Di naman ako masyado nahirapan.. I had painless delivery (although i wanted to be awake[epidural], the anesth instead gave me something else that knocked me out!).. So i was asleep during the actual delivering of my baby. :( Sayang nga, i would have preferred to see him and hear him first thing before i got knocked out.. Anyway, at least alam ko na ang painless delivery, hehe.. PainFUL del kasi yung 1st 2 kids ko.. Thanks for all the support here at pex! I appreciate it!

Hi camgray! Thanks for the advice and congratulations on your new baby!!! Come to think of it buti na lang ngayon na ako nagkaroon ng cough and not during my first trimester when I had threatened abortion. I remember kasi I was constipated then and I tried to "force the issue" as in! Yun nag-bleed ako. So I can just imagine having a bad cough then could have put pressure on my stomach/ abdomen. So blessing na rin. Right now I'm drinking lots and lots of water. But I will call my OB for medicines. Thanks!! :)

mommie fatbig... i found in one of preggy website about medicines for cough and colds for 3rd trimester

Coughs and colds

* Cough and cold remedies often contain a combination of several ingredients, including painkillers, antihistamines and decongestants (see above), so it is important to make sure that each ingredient is safe before taking them. Consult your doctor or pharmacist before taking any medicines during pregnancy.

* The cough expectorant guaifenesin to help loosen a chesty cough can be used, though drinking lots of water is just as effective for this. You could also try using steam inhalations to help liquify mucus and make it easier to cough up. Cough medicines containing iodine as an expectorant should be avoided, as the iodine can impair the functioning of the baby's thyroid gland.

* The cough suppressant dextromethorphan has been in widespread use and is generally considered safe to use during pregnancy, providing it is only taken for short periods of time and using the smallest dose possible. However, it is probably best to avoid it in the first trimester. Cough suppressants containing codeine should be avoided in the third trimester.

* Soothing cough mixtures such as simple linctus, or sucking lozenges containing honey or glycerol to coat the throat, are the safest option to reduce coughing. Consult your doctor or pharmacist before taking any medicines during pregnancy.

Hope this advice helps. kakatakot talaga *** cough when i cough nga i usually hold my tummy or uupo muna ako para hindi lahat ng pressure nasa tummy ko.

pinkyblush my 1st-3months pre-natal vitamins was folic acid and natalwiz.

yummymummy: My OB is affiliated with Asian Hospital. She is Dra. Solema Granados-Rivera. She is good and very nice/accomodating. OB ng buong office namin sya- my 2 former bosses, and 2 other colleagues!
If you want naman a younger OB, a family friend is Dra. Anna Hamada, also in Asian Hosp. She is also magaling - dating OB chief resident ng Makati Med, and had further OB/gyne schooling in Japan.. I'm not sure if she's started holding clinic at Makati Med yet. Choose either one, they're both good! :)

Hi everyone - just wanted to know who here are firstime moms like me. I just found out I'm pregnant last Friday (Nov3) after being married for 5 yrs. I'm so happy but also so scared. Funny thing is hubby doesn't know yet and I plan on telling him in a memorable way. any ideas? planning to wait for my next ob checkup in 3 weeks to tell our parents and then after 8-12 weeks to tell our friends and family.

I guess i'm 4 weeks and feeling some cramping - which I heard it's normal so long as there's no spotting.

How about you?

Hi everyone - just wanted to know who here are firstime moms like me. I just found out I'm pregnant last Friday (Nov3) after being married for 5 yrs. I'm so happy but also so scared. Funny thing is hubby doesn't know yet and I plan on telling him in a memorable way. any ideas? planning to wait for my next ob checkup in 3 weeks to tell our parents and then after 8-12 weeks to tell our friends and family.

I guess i'm 4 weeks and feeling some cramping - which I heard it's normal so long as there's no spotting.

How about you?

Hi unica... I'm also a first time mom.. And don't you just feel happy to be having access to forums like this on the internet... Aside from asking from friends and relatives for their experiences.. I just feel glad that many moms out there share their experiences online...

Anyway, have you seen your doctor already.. I'm 5 weeks pregnant.. and still shopping for a doctor.. Maybe we can compare notes....

Later...:)

Hello all! I'm 34weeks pregnant and I'm having twins. :) I'm not a first time mom though. Advise ko lang sa mga first time moms, relax and enjoy the pregnancy. Savor the feeling. :)

ako rin, preggy with our second baby. 27 weeks to be exact.

and as cmars2 said, enjoy the pregnancy! every kick (kahit masakit minsan), flutter, bubble, any movement really! enjoy! don't get stressed too much, rest as much as possible if you can. excercise, eat right and healthy.

on my 27th week pa lang and i;m getting impatient na, i want to see my baby na!! :D

Posted the same reply over at What's up, Doc? Then, I realized doctors are now scaring me that I need the assurance of moms and moms-to-be more:

I'm on my 9th week of pregnancy. This is my first. I had a TVS and the doctor said the GS was well-formed, but there was no cardiac activity. I went to my OB yesterday and she was surprised to see the results kasi the OB-Sonologist (I'm not sure if yun ang tawag sa doctor na nagpe-perform ng ultrasound) recommended a repeat scan kesa "misabortion" daw. Dapat misabortion na daw yun. I don't know exactly what she meant pero the word ABORTION scared the hell out of me. :( :( :( My bf and I waited for this baby for 3 years and it just hurts so much na there's a possibility na we'd lose the baby. I'm scared. I feel so hopeless. I'm confused din. Everybody's telling me different things. Sabi ng iba, usually sa 9th week dapat may cardiac activity na. Others sa fourth month. I don't want to lose hope pero I don't wabt to expect na din. I'm not ready to be a wife. Pero I'm ready na to be a mom. Please pray for my baby.

Wow ikaw rin? :) Fraternal twins ang babies ko, a girl and a boy. My first born is a boy. So complete na ang bodyguards ng girl.:D
Sabi ng OB ko, pre-term daw talaga kapag twin pregnancy so earlier than the expected date of delivery ka talaga manganganak. Do you have names already? Ako wala pa. HEhe

Hi Rugrat, Dear I don't want to scare you either but please try to do a repeat Ultrasound. From what I know, baby's heartbeat can be seen in the ultrasound as early as 6 weeks. But don't lose hope ok. Praying for you and your baby.

Hi Rugrat, I got an ultrasound at 10 weeks yata and the heartbeat was already detected and measured. It's not supposed to take 4 months. I agree with mulberry, please get a repeat ultrasound. Hoping you get positive results this time.

thank you for your reply, ladies. i'm getting another TVS on Thursday. I'm still scared, but I think I'm more ready now that the first time. It'll be sad if the baby's "dead", but I'm still hoping for a miracle. If wala, try again, right? Thank you ulit.

yes nasa lahi kasi yung mommy ko may twinsister :)

cmars : wow ang galing naman girl and boy *** babies mo :) *** ultrasound ko last week showed that they're both boys :) hala, lagot ako... heheh.. i didn't know na nakakapraning pala maging pregnant. i always worry na baka they're not ok.. na baka *** isa lang *** naglilikot.. basta i've become a worrywart ever since i got pregnant :)

Good luck Rugrat

thank you, miss. i went to have a repeat TVS last thurs and the baby has still no heartbeat. the recommendation was missed abortion na nga. OMG! how i hate that word. :( i'm going to see my ob-gyne later after work. i just know na what she's going to say. but i'm confused. the baby's growing naman maski papano and s/he's has changed places naman since the last TVS. i'm scared and confused. but one thing is certain. if they want an abortion, i'll wait for the baby to come out of me naturally just to be 101% certain that there's no chance na talga of survival. thank you again.

Hi mga mommies... I am new here on this thread. Binasa ko lahat ng post nyo from the start. I learned a lot od things. Lalo na I only found out last Sunday that I am pregnant. Di pa ako pumumunta sa doktor for check up baka after christmas na ***. There are a lot of changes on me, medyo natatakot din ako pero at this early time kinakausap ko na si baby kahit alam ko na hindi pa sya buo. We wait for this moment, my hubby is very excited, lagi nya kiss tummy ko and telling how much he love our baby. Thank you sa mga mommies na nag share ng experience nila. It really helps. Mga mommies keep informing us your experience ha, Congrats sa mga soon to be mommies like me!!!!

This is the best exciting feeling I ever have on my whole life.

ohno cmars wag naman...

sublime... kay hubby (di pa kami married nakiki hubby lang ako) lang ako naging masungit, as in hinahanap ko sya para awayin... past time ko nun, makipagbreak sakanya hehe buti nalang di nya pinapatulan... hate na hate ko sya nung 1st tri... pero nung 2nd tri ko, ohmy! cant get my eyes off you naman ang drama! hehe... ganun talaga, first time din nya maging ama kaya nung umpisa di nya maintindihan topak ko, nung una pinapatulan din ako, nung sobrang bigat na ng nararamdaman ko at naiiyak na ko sa galit, i explained to him that my emotions are uncontrollable, and that wag nya ako patulan, ayun, napagtiisan naman nya ako hehe... ok lang yan, may excuse, but try to control your pagsusungit, coz not everyone would understand

hi, racacj!

i know it's hard to overcome depression, but always focus on the fact that you're bringing another angel to the world... o diba?

think happy thoughts and be as positive as u can, k? if u need help, i'm someone u can talk to here. :)

by the way, i'm 23, a proud single mom, and 25 weeks pregnant with my first baby!

lainey_bogz:

thanks for the response.:) hay, for the past 2 pregnancies ko i was never like this kahit mas unplanned yun dahil I was still a student then..i feel so alone in this situation, and I am dependent on my husband right now and I am so weak, beofre I got pregnant I was
a different person I may say, strong, ready to go, loves challenges.

its a relief knowing you gals are out there willing to talk things over
without really knowing each other personally..

you alone while being pregnant? are you working?

laineybogz
Jun 1, 2007, 09:26 PM
i'm a single mom by choice (u can check cheka's thread "need an expert" for my short story), but i don't live alone. i live with my mom and dad, a sister, and 2 brothers.

i was able to work in a corporate setting for almost 2 yrs. i resigned from my previous job even before i knew i was pregnant (coincidence talaga!) and i've been a bum ever since. hehe. :) ***** this is the rest that i've been needing ever since i graduated from college. after graduation kasi, i was so pressured to work agad without thinking that resting for some time would be beneficial for me. i was easily burned out with my 2 previous jobs, ***** un ang consequence nun.

anyway, i'm planning to go back to work on january next year. :) i don't want it in a corporate setting na. i'm thinking of getting a job in the academic field, cuz i have always been productive as a student in school, and i want to make use din of my bachelor's degree in psychology.

ooops... too much daldal na ko. hehe.

anyway, how are u feeling ba exactly? getting depressed isn't exactly uncommon naman, kaya lang it's also not going to do u and ur baby any good. im sure u know that na, mommy. hmmm... let me check what i can research on those baby blles ure having.. :)

cheer up!

i feel so alone, so weak to face life, not normal and worst is I wish im dead..my two kids are affected coz i dont play with them much..
my career is also affected coz i am on leave for 3 months now and still undecided if i will give up the work or not due to this depression..
and now i pity my husband kasi sya ang lagi kong nakikita, I always want to be with him (unlike before na i can do anything w/o him)..
to the point na im beeing unreasonalbe most of the time kaso pinagbibigyan nya lang ako kasi alam nya na im suffering from depression..

hay lainey_bogz, i wish i am as strong as you are..:(

laineybogz
Jun 1, 2007, 09:54 PM
hmmm... i understand. although i may not exactly know how u are feeling, but believe me, i understand. alam ko rin that u don't want to be like that naman given a choice diba?

right now, it's very important to talk to ur husband about ur depression. it will not only encourage open communication between u both, but as what they say, lahat ng negative feelings ay nababawasan when ure able to talk them over with someone u trust, with someone who supports u unconditionally.

have u tried doing research on antepartum depression? the book that i have says that it has been linked to preterm birth, lower birth weight, developmental problems in infancy, and a 50% chance of developing postpartum depression after the baby is born. i'm not trying to make u more depressed ha, i just want u to know the real risks. baka lang maka-help.

have u talked to ur ob about this?
