i shall answer question number 2 -

What brands do you buy and why?
a) shampoo - pantene / lux - i alternate them every 3 months, they are both good for my hair.

b) soap - safeguard - i believe it works against bacteria :) basically because of the commercial.

c) lotion - jergens / vaseline - both work against dry skin, and i like the almond smell. vaseline is actually my cheaper alternative to jergens :)

d) atbp.. - conditioner - pantene - really makes my hair smooth. but i don't make it a habit since i might end up with a bald head hehe.

e.) powder - tender care - it smells good and they sell them in a nice plastic bottle; hula-hula (ice powder) - cool to the skin.

f.) toothpaste - i like the new close-up crystals coz the taste lingers :) makes you "believe" that your teeth actually became cleaner.

did i miss anything? hmmmm...

a) shampoo
I use Rejoice Complete and Head and Shoulders regularly. Rejoice is really good for the hair, and I like the smell. However, I have a lot of shampoo that I use from time to time. I buy V05 (?), Thermasilk, and Clairol Herbal Essence (?). I love the smell.

b) soap
I use any of the ff: Johnson's, Ivory, or Tender Care. I like them 'cause they seem gentle on the skin, and you smell like a baby after each use. But I only use soap for the my hands. For my body I use Shower Gels/Body Wash.

*I'm the type of person who 'experiments'. Whenever there's a new product in the market, especially with soaps, I usually buy to try it out. I did that with Zest and Lifebuoy. :p

c) lotion
I don't use lotion.

d) atbp..
I buy a lot, and I mean A LOT, of shower gels/body wash. I usually buy from Beauty Bar kaya ubos agad pera ko. I'll have to check the names when I get home.

Shampoo- Kahit ano eh... usually yung Sunsilk(green, for slow growing hair), pero ngayon, Lux yung ginagamit ko.

Soap- I use body wash, PH5.5, pero next week mag try ako ng Palmolive.

Lotion- Jergens

Toothpaste- Close up crystal, Colgate, pero silly me, I bought Hapee toothpaste last week, kase Hapee yung team ng crush ko sa pBL.:lol:

Facial soap- ACNE AID ata yung name

I dunno if I'd call myself meticulous or not, but this is pretty much how I choose products... or not... :D

A.) Shampoo - I never did care what shampoo I used. I usually just go to the supermarket and pick whatever looks interesting. Either that or I just use the same shampoo as the rest of my family. Lately though, I've been sticking to Head & Shoulders... probably because my dad bought this really huge bottle of the stuff and it'll probably take a while to finish off. :eek:

B.) Soap - Anything will do, but my family has always been using Safe Guard so I stick to that.

C.) Lotion - Never use the stuff. Only lotion I ever use is probably sunblock and that's rare! :D

D.) Atbp.

- Toothpaste - I stick to Colgate. It's always worked well for me and I've been using it since I was a kid. I'll probably variate between the Colgate brands depending on what I used last.

- Powder - I never use the stuff anymore. The last time I used any powder was for billiards and I've gotten used to doing without it already.

- Alchohol - Any brand will do as long as the scent isn't strong and it's at least a 75% solution. I usually use it to dissinfect scratches, wounds, and the like.

- Conditioner - Me and my sister use the same Pantene. I picked it out by chance to try it out and it turns out it really works for my sis. I rarely ever use conditioner, so my sis just buys the same stuff for the both of us. :D

SHAMPOO - Head and Shoulders, Rejoice (usually i buy that latest product with a new packaging)

SOAP - Safeguard and Palmolive (i feel fresh?!) For my face I use Ivory Mild

LOTION - Jergens (eversince?!)

TOOTHPASTE: Colgate Fresh Confidence Gel (fresh breathe for longer time)

I only speak for myself. I don't know how meticulous women are. I tend to stick with products that I have found satisfactory, buying the same brands after my supply runs out. This means there is some period of experimentation, followed by a decision. Once I find a product I like, I'm generally loyal.

a) shampoo


J F Lazartigue shampoo for oily scalp. Because it gets rid of the oil in my scalp. Once in a while my hair gets "tired" so I have to use an alternate brand. I use Finesse because it smells good.

One of these days I might try Palmolive Naturals because somebody we know appears in the TV commercial. ;)


b) soap


We use "germicide" and "antibacterial" soaps for bathing. There's no specific brand we use regularly, as we think they are equally effective. So we give in to our whims and switch between Safeguard, Zest, Irish Spring, Lever 2000, and Fa.


c) lotion


My wife is the lotion specialist. That's why her skin is very smooth. I don't buy any lotion for myself, I just use her supply, or those little lotion bottles that we snatch from hotel rooms when we travel.


d) atbp..


We buy hand sanitizer (Safeguard) and I buy after shave lotion - I like the kind that stings but doesn't leave a strong smell.

a) Shampoo: I like Pantene's shampoo and conditioner (the green one).
b) Soap: Bath & Body Works Sun-Dried Raspberry Creamy Body Wash or Body Shower Gel. When I'm out of that, I like J&J's ph5.5.
c) Lotion: Bath & Body Works Sun-Dried Raspberry again. :) If I'm out, Jergen's Ultra-Healing body lotion is also great.
d) Atbp: I like Ascend's leave-on conditioner, salve (for dry, rough spots), Ponds facial moisturizing cream, Body Shop's Tea Tree Oil for little blemishes, Colgate for my toothpaste (I'm thinking of switching to Close-up though -- are you clean enough to kiss? :stolenkiss: Heehee.), and hmmm.... I don't know na.

Soap - Dial/Irish Spring :lol:
Lotion - jergens
Atbp - Toothpaste - we use Crest at home, but i liked the new Close-up Crystals..
Conditioner - St. Ives Strengthening Conditioner, Hair Repair Intensive Conditioner.. :lol:
Facial Soap - Johnson's Clean and Clear(?)

shampoo - whatever i get for free from my magazine subscription. am currently using Big Thick Hair

soap - don't use soap because it dries my skin. am using Johnsons Milk Body Wash hirap bilin ah, pinanabili ko pa sa singapore :(

lotion - anything na binili ng mother ko
