A lot of my accountant friends started in SGV and Juaquin Cunanan, some of them left and are with different corporations. They really had great trainings with these auditing firms. Actually there are some members in PinoyExchange who are from these firms, hopefully they will be able to share their own experiences.

SGV maybe good training ground but their salary level is way below their Worldwide partner, Arthur Andersen. It's really a shame. How about trying the local partners of other Big 5s..Price Waterhouse Coopers, Ernst & Young, KPMG, Deloitte & Touche?

lots of auditing firms in the philippines are said to be good training ground like SGV, Cunanan, and Laya but then they give really low salaries, as if u were punished first by your parents before they give you you're very small allowance....but then they say that after some time most of the companies that you've audit for will hire or better yet "pirate" you, it's such a nice thing to hear but this is not always the case....because for some who are aint that good they remain as staff though they have been staying there for quite some time already....so if you really want to start as an auditor just be sure that you're competent enough and ready to face all the challenges that would come
