There has been so much hype about the benefits of working for telecommunication companies. So what's the best telco employer out there at the moment?

I heard Smart Communications really does pay good, something like...20 month-pay?
Can anyone confirm this? Although if I remember right, Globe was once best employer of the year...

From IT News Central(Gossip Section)
...Now, as for Manny P. of PLDT, sorry, this has nothing to do with sex. One favorite anecdote among his underlings is about his hard-driving, workaholic style. The guy likes, nay, demands that his officers should have their Smart cell phones always on. No low batt excuses. He'd call them at such an ungodly hour like three in the morning if something enters his mind. While they get paid handsomely and they get perks like catered food and accomodations in the office, they do make little sacrifices. Like not going home. One VP even wondered aloud in a meeting how his family was doing. He hadn't seen them in three weeks.
