Hi! I am planning to apply sa etelecare. But someone told me na technical daw dito. True ba yun? Medyo natakot naman ako. I'm not that good with computer thingys e. Could I just tell them that I prefer the Customer Service Associate position?

Hi guys, just wanna share my etel experience.

I stayed there for 4 months lang. The pay was pretty good, but the stress was UNIMAGINABLE! My account was AT&T Warranty and patayan talaga sa irate. 2 QAs every week. Super queieng. Ang matindi pa, may allergy nako't lahat dahil sa stress, ayaw padin ako payagan mag absent, even if may paalam. I went AWOL, since I caught a viral throat infection. First there were letters telling me that I should pay the 45k bond. Eventually it went away. Since then sobrang natrauma nako sa call centers. Maybe cause this was a bad, bad experience. Sabi nila di daw stressful sa ibang accounts but ayoko rin ng mga OMs dito. Walang ginawa kundi makipaglandian sa mga office sluts. Ugh.

Isa pa, beware trainees! They have a habit na ikutin kayo sa lahat ng sites. I applied in alabang, did my intro training in shaw, did my client specifics in libis, sabay lagay sa Makati!

yup yup, but ingat lang kasi if mapapadalas ang pag AWOL mo, they might blacklist you to all call center companies.. madugo yun... it'll be hard for you to look for another job, it may even take years before you can get one in the same industry.

Why are you guys so worried of the training bond? Hindi totoo yan. Panakot lang yan ng company para walang magresign ng alanganin. The company won't bother to file lawsuits/charges against you kasi mas mahal pa ang magagastos nila sa lawyer nila kesa dun sa 45K bond. Besides, bonds are always against the law.

i think the reason etel is not including showers in their sites is to avoid squatting.

i heard some stories like hindi na umuuwi yung agent, kasama pa nya yung mga anak nya na nasa day care center... may mga gamit na sya sa lounge at talagang di na ummuwi sa kanila. To add to that, nag-wiwisik na lang sa may rest room bago pumasok :rotflmao:

I have heard of squatting, in the case that you mentioned, medyo sobra nga yata kasi pati mga kids sa etel na nakatira. Pero I think naman kung yung mismong employee lang, para makatipid dahil malayo ang house, ok lang naman siguro. I've heard of people from other companies do that e, weekly na lang umuuwi, no harm naman basta wag lang abuse yung facilities right? hehe

-we only see kids running around the floor kapag holloween

Csr 1 - 12k basic
Csr 2 - 15k basic
Csr 3 - 18k basic

-plus 3k allowance every month...
-30% night differential....

-payment appraisal of up to 25% of your basic salary every quarter...but now, they're changing it to P2,200 bonus monthly on top of the 3k allowance and the 30% night diff....got it? =)

That's only if you're a CSA 1. You get 10% of your basic pay monthly in addition to the transpo allowance. But if you're CSA 2 and up, you revert back to the normal PA bonus.

i agree again... this was the first company that i worked for. and i have to agree that even if the job is very stressful, i never ever felt like dragging myself to work for the 15 months that i stayed with eTel. maganda talaga ang culture ng eTel, hindi ko ito ipagpapalit. =)

does HR/ or whoever should be in-charge to allow Ops na.. if an agent is absent, they will be paying for that absence. like their fine will be of 200 pesos. parang it's a deal between the team and their team leader. actually, of course I didn't agree with this. we're paid with a small salary tapos magbabayad pa agents for getting sick or be in a hospital or for having an emergency. and another thing, we have themes for everyday or at least a week, if you didn't follow it, you'll pay 100 bucks again. I mean what the f***. i've been in different centers. we had themes but they don't force the reps to wear what should be worn on a certain day. isn't it just flaunt it whenever you like?

please help.. i just need this to stop. Are there cases like these that needs management assistance. or should we just talk to either the OM or TLs. or should be employee services dept? or DOLE ? (hehe)there were no paper signed for this naman na reps agreed, it was just implemented by the TLs. Thanks...

I dont get you, you mentioned that your not from etel then the way you complain its obvious your an etel employee??

If you dont like your team's kickback, as we call it, then complain to your TL. If nothing happens then go to your OM/SM. Kung ayaw pa rin punta ka na kay Dino. Its the team's mutual agreement for avoiding absences and getting good team scores..

hi gudeve.. uhmm.. i applied sa etel last mar. 13 and was endorsed for LPET training but then during the assessment i was advanced to LCT that i have to skip LPET.. so, i went back to the recruitment and they told me to have my medical exams.. they also said that they can't give me any job offer at the moment because there are no available vacancies at shaw yet. so, they said that i should wait for a call instead. after a week, they called me to have an IT exam because i'm applying for TSR.. i was endorsed for TECHPET at eTel Makati.. before the training they called and said that the training was cancelled because of some ****** reasons.. I WAS VERY DISAPPOINTED.. :( to save me from being upset they offered me a local account being a CSR! oh my.. :angry:

should i accept the offer?

coz i said i want to be assigned at eTel Shaw.. :(

I really dont know what the basic nowadays is.. When I was hired the starting was 12k Basic + 3k allowance, i think its 13.5k for the basic nowadays

For the exam, since you already passed the initial interview next part are the exams. Listening, grammar and i forgot the other one. After that is another interview with one of the HR people then sometimes with the Account manager. Then a call simulation and if you applied for a TSR post there will be a technical exam. Thats how it went for me, im not sure if its still the same today :)

May script silang bibigay sa iyo. You just need to pretend to be an agent helping the customer which is your interviewer. More than a year ago na ako nag apply eh. Di ko na rin alam kung tungkol saan. Dati kasi inbound/outbound sales script. 2 calls siya.

What happened with the call sim was, may bibigay sayo na papel andun mga price list ng different products tapos parang ibebenta mo sa hr, inbound sales nga.. Hindi naman talaga importante kung mabenta mo o hindi parang tetest lang paano ka makipagusap sa phone. Pero last year pa to ewan ko lang ngayon

If its operation it depends on the account, Intuit is business days so that means its always saturday and sunday off. Matrix/Dell is 24/7 open so you have a rotation/changing schedule/off

Hello guys :) question lang.

Just yesterday I went to Etel Alabang as a walk-in applicant for a CSR position. I waited for around an hour and a half, before being called into the glass room by the HR guy who conducted the initial interviews. The conversation was light and easy and he basically just asked me about my previous CC experiences (I've worked with 2 companies already, 6 months each), family and school stuff (I'm an undergrad), hobbies and interests (which was alright, but I found it to be a bit weird because a huge chunk of the 10 to 15 minute interview revolved around THAT area.) Afterwards he thanked me and said he'd learned lots from the meaningful conversation we had. Then he said he'd forward my application, and proceeded to close down the interview by instructing me to wait for a call the day after (which is today).

Now I really don't mean to brag but I KNOW I'm good and competent enough at what I do as an agent (and maybe, I might even be abit overqualified than some... please don't hate me, hindi makapal ang mukha ko) I'm just worried, because alot of people have told me that ONE DAY PROCESSING lang ang Etel. And I don't know. Was I turned down? I have until 12 noon to wait for the call (as he instructed), but what if wala ako matanggap? One day processing lang ba talaga ang Etel, or does that depend on the volume of applicants they have? :( Just going panicky kasi I really wanted to get started sa company na ito as soon as possible, for a number of reasons.

i was interviewed today by one of the recruitment officers in libis site of etel for a tech support rep level 2 (aka tier 1 generalist) account is intuit to be deployed in shaw temporary start date if hired will be on june 8. tomorow at 7am is my final interview with the client. yes, kano daw interview over the phone lang naman, pag pasado na, job offer na agad.

ok naman expereince ko sa whole application process with etel. magulo lang kasi thru jobstreet select ako nag-apply

process is initial interview (which is btw sobrang jologs kasi kasama mo mga newly grads kahit na more than 3 years na experience ko sa call center)
language and grammar test (nahirapan ako ha kahit konti)
2nd interview with recruitment of etel
call simulation (customer service call and sales call outbound) - na sisiw naman sobra pag may CC experience ka na
tapos tech exam - composed of basic tech and advanced software (sa tingin ko pag galing ka sa tech account, sobrang dali lang nito)
tapos last interview with recruitment officer - na type ko ** kasi ang gwapo hahaha. tinititigan ko nga lagi sa mata e

then tomorow na final interview with client then job offer

mejo mahaba ang process pero sana worth it

kasi package is ito daw

19+k basic, allowance, 30% nyt diff, bonus at per month na 1200 at sabi guaranteed daw na 26k

totoo ba ito?

sino may alam feedback naman

tsaka ok ba culture sa etel? open ba sila sa mga working student? kasi im taking my masters. how about career growth?

19k basic? 26k na pay? wow taas ah.. What do you mean by "tech support rep level 2 (aka tier 1 generalist)", is that something like a level2 support or SME? If thats the case then the pay is correct but if its agent level then its high. I came from intuit before they call their level2 support, SMEs (Subject Matter Experts). Para sa akin medyo magulo intuit kasi may accounting, which i hated. :D
Ok naman sa shaw, hindi ko na alam kung ano itsura ngayon, last january 2008 pa ako sa shaw.

Since final interview mo is with an American, mukhang SME ka nga sa intuit kasi interview ko before wala ganun.

Ok na ok culture sa Etel, its one of the few call centers out there which values their employee or is employee focused. If you try to read a few pages of this thread, you'll rarely see ex-Etel employees complaining about the culture unlike other call centers, some even wanted to go back.

I've been in the industry for a long time now and from the feedback that I have heard from co-workers who came from e-tel, their experience was very good. The culture and the pay are some of the things that stand out about e-telecare. Not really sure about the pay though as it was 2006 when I last asked about their salary. lol.

^im not sure if chat support is hiring and there are several chat support accounts here. Etel doesnt increase your basic pay because of tenurity, everyone has the same basic pay/package

I was informed this afternoon by the recruitment officer that I successfully passed the operations validation for the TSR Level 2 post. Job offer by Monday and will start training by June 8. I don't know the details yet of the compensation package. But was given a brief information:

19+ basic salary
+ allowance
+ 30% night differential
+ healthcare with 2 dependents max

Will be checking on that by Monday. I'm happy and I think I'm making the right decision.

My last pay with prev company was not matched but who can topped DELL with compensation?

Looking forward to be working with ETEL

I've worked for IBM Daksh before and yes, I've handled SPRINT. Sprint is ok because it has lots of perks (they sponsor a lot of prizes and commissions) but Sprint customers are so IRATE. and before AHT is 3 minutes!!! Good Luck

Binigyan na nila ko ng pre-employment papers and ask me to undergo medical examinations but it took me a month comply. After ko makapagpamedical which I believed naman na pasado, I waited for them to call pero mukhang ndi na sila tatawag. May chance pa po ba ko? Or dapat ko na sila kulitin? TIA!

That's why.. You came from dell and have already been with the call center industry for several years. Congrats L2.. :D Were you assigned for intuit or have been transferred to the dell account here?

L2 nga ba o TSR2? juding by the pay grade parang TSR2 naman ang ni-offer. I doubt kung ganun ganun na lang i-offer ang technical mentorship lalo na for someone new sa account. and as Psion said matrix does not hire L2/TL externally na. then again I could be wrong...

Kaya nga parang ang gulo nung offer at position nya. Kung L2/SME position nya pang TSR2 lang yung sahod nya. Kung agent level lang mataas yung offer sa kanya. TP hires externally sometimes, yung isang kawavemate ko TL eh, but then again he was hired for Intuit as well. Baka Intuit SME/L2 nga kaso mababa offer sa kanya..

Well here's the thing with etelecare.. The truth huh...

First, the basic pay for newbies (CSR & Sales @ LEVEL 1): p12,000
Allowances: nontaxable p3000+++
Perks: Madami! hehehhe
Night Diff: 30% (highest na to tol sa CC industry!)
Pero madami pang income dyan sa etel...

Now sa mga mga newly hired applicants, heres whats gonna happen to you guys:
May "FINAL" screening kayo before they give you your Job Offers or your Account.. it happens every Monday.. They call it "MMF." i dont know what it means basta nun una ko sya nadinig sa kasama ko eh "MILF" kala ko it has something to do with porn kaya tawa ako ng tawa he3 dun nyo malalaman if for LPET-language training muna kayo or Job Offer na agad..

heres the thing ok?.. pag orientation na yan sure na sure na yan na trabaho.. miski pa mag undergo kayo ng training sa LPET...
totoong 2% percent lang ang natatangap sa mga applicants.. sobra din ang screening.. why? maybe its bcause its one of the best here in pinas :)
