hans_mit1995, nope. I am not from E-telecare. I was just offered a contract but I did not sign it. Based from what I know and heard about, the communication workshop is aimed to improve your English-speaking ability. Once you're done with it, either they will endorse you to E-telecare or not. If you are luckily endorsed, you will go through the same process (interview, phone simulation). That's what I know and what I know may not be true at all.

on QA:

i'm just wondering why quite a number of ETEL QAs transferred to other call centers. Most of them would say, "payroll issues".. im not that sure though. in fact 4 QAs from ETEL transferred to Nucomm (Canadian call center in ortigas).. i do have plans of applying there come June (after i mark my one-year experience as QA).do u guys have any idea how much is the base rate for QA? sabi nila konti lang difference ng rates sa mga agents. sa Nucomm kasi 20k ang starting ng QA (16k sa agents) pero yun na yon..as in lahat-lahat na. maliit din ang appraisal, after i marked my 6th month in the company, i was appraised for P460. (mataas na yan kasi P500 lang ang higest appraisal every six months.) at 15% lang ND. eh di ba 30% ND sa etel? pag-tapak ko ng 1 year as QA, more or less, nasa 21k na ang basic ko... reply naman guys...tnx po.. :)

abt the hiring process: they will let you take the exam first. if you passed, you will have your 1st interview. after that phone simulation naman. if you passed that, final interview na.

I was once a employee there. I have to say, to be fair, Etel is a good employer naman in general. The work I had was just toxic (sa Minnetonka ako dati) and I had better opportunities outside the company both salary and career-wise. So....

i think so.. as for the position i applied for, tech. sup., the offer is 12k(basic) + 3k trans. and food allowance.. 30% night diff.. etc.. dats *** d recruitment person told me.. :)

that is, if i pass the (communication skills enhancement) training im goin 2 have this may 29 up til june 2..
there's a training allowance of 150php a day..

sa cybercity kami nagcomm skills...out of 17..17 pa rin naman kami na nagcontinue sa technical training...hindi mo naman kailangang magkaron ng american twang basta ok naman english mo papasa ka dun...basta be confident lang everytime you speak in english...

technical training...dito masaya! hehhee after nito me mock calls (i'm not sure if yun nga ang tawag nakalimutan ko na eh) wherein magsasample calls kyo...usually callers will be your trainers/TLs...tapos they will grade you based on how you handle your call it doesn't matter whether you solved the problem or not...ako ata highest nun sa wave namin bwahahaha nadaan sa UTO! hehhe

so ayun...may 24 company orientation, ipapakilala yung mga managers tapos fill-up ng mga bank forms/ITR...explain benefits...getting to know each other...

communication skills...naalala ko 1 week lang 'to...me elimination din ata dito, pero wala namang natanggal samin eh so hindi ko maalala...si BOB/ARGEN trainers namin...cool yun! basic english...sentence structuring...finals namin, impromptu - me topic syang ibibigay tapos he'll grade you base dun sa fillers sa mga sentences mo...so binibilang nya yung uhm/ah...so dapat ndi ka na lang magsalita if maguuhm ka lang...so make sure to gather all your thoughts before you speak...pero buong salary na ko nito...

tapos nun...technical training, dito mejo matagal almost a month...ang saya-saya, trainers namin si IAN/OSCAR...dito me mga exams after nun me role playing...me tatawag sa u...titignan nila how you handle and document your call...

tapos...me warranty training pa...hehhe

yes it's 150/day becuz we're not yet etel employees. and this training we're having right now is not a guarantee that we're gonna get a job offer this friday.. :) tomorow (thurs) will be our simulation, and on friday we'll have the role playing daw, that's how the recruitment people would assess us. :) i hope i would pass.. watcha think guys? hehe! :) any tips?

just to give you an idea.. 2 weeks ago, only 9 out 44 were given the job offer.. yes, there will be simulation (one on one with trainer) on thursday for preparation of the assessment on the last day.. sabi nila no bearing daw yun. pero totoo yung whole week na training nyo is an assessment.. tpos samin, we were tricked to believe na yung final assessment ay phone simulation, pero nde naman.. that part is for you to find out na lang.. bka mas pahirapan nila kayo eh pag nabasa nila na nagbigay ako tips..

Dont know if you guys experience the same thing, but so far to me, it seems that there might be some racism towards foreigners about it.
But I'll tell you what, if i quit at etel and they want to charge me 45k, there is no way in hell i'm paying them. NO WAY IN HELL.

I applied sa etel last week only to find out that most of the exam ay pang IT, i was quite disappointed because i don't know anything about IT and networking and those stuff... as expected I failed. but i heard that maganda benefits ng Etel... kaso lang what I noticed, they're agents are not that consious about the accent, from what I observed at Convergy's, Pipol Support, Sykes and Parlance, they talk like Americans, sa Etel sorry to say, hindi, alam mo yun parang aral na aral ang accent... sorry sa mga taga Etel this is just an observation from an outsider.

may i suggest that its really no good to say something about someone or a company when u have not even known it firsthand or thoroughly experienced being part of it by yourself. One more thing, you would never really find a company with such perfections, there's always a bad thing/side on everything. Nothing's perfect here on this planet, and you just have to put up with that. :)

tsr? (technical support representative) its stil csa, but on the technical side. so at least you know stuff about computers, internet, etc.

etel locations? there's in libis, in makati, in cebu, and opening soon in alabang (not sure kung open na po). all have recruitment people there. check the etel website for the complete address of the locations i have given. :D

ACS - mataas offer but in the long run panget na *** because taxable lahat so lalabas mataas gross mo baba nga lang net...

Siemens - 1 day processing medyo mababa ** offer kala ko pa naman mataas..

Dell - nagpunta ako sa office nila pro pinag pasa lang ako ng receptionist ng resume tapos tatawagan na lang daw nila ako.. pansin ko mabagal processing **... mga 2-3 weeks processing then mga 1-1 1/2 month ka mag iintay para makapag cmula.Umayaw na din ako kasi from makati ako ang layo naman ng mall of Asia ubos pera at time.. :naughty:

Daksh - I applied as Workforce Specialist para sa bago nilang Account iinitial interview and passed the 5 hour Workforce Exam na super dami mong kelngan i solve argh... then Final Interview ...until now wala pa din call... last week pa ata ng September magbubukas *** mga account nila.:naughty:


People Support - maganda ang People Support sa mga taong may callcenter exp na 2 -3years.... pro sa mga wala pang 2 years okie lang din **.. may gym *** at shower room kasu naka enroll na ako sa Fitness 1st ng 1 year so ndi ko din ako makakasave...ang lapit n2 sa bahay namin :lol:

Sykes - 1 day processing lang they are assigning me in K-point Gilmore ISP account mataas ang Transpo allowance kasi pamatay location nila mashdong isolated.. so mataas nga allowance but magagastos ko din sa Pamasahe un.. kung malapit ka naman sa site nila mababa lang allowance mo kaya wala din...:bop:


Mindbox- we had our group initial interview mga 25+ then they told us they will call us for any update.. i think may problem na *** company sana maresolve na nila...:mecry:

30 kaming nag IQ test na mahaba, lima lang nakalusot. Quite shocked since I do believe that even high school kids can pass the test. Just skip the difficult questions[get back to them later] that seem such at first glance and move on to the easier ones. By the time you get back to the seemingly difficult questions the mind should have been "synchronized" to recognize the proper solution.

Yung IQ test...kung tatanungin mo ako panis sa akin dahil sa opinyon ko even a high school graduate can ace it. Pero perplexed ako kung bakit sa 30 na nag-exm lima lang kaming nakalusot....technique ko skip the seemingly difficult questions ang go to the next. You can go back later to the difficult quations ...by that time your mind will should have been in-sync to find the solution. Remember divide the time you are allocated for the test with the number of items so as to be able to have a "situational awareness".

If you are asked to read something please do not forget the proper enunciation, stress on the appropriate syllables., proper length of pauses on commas and periods. Proper pronounciation in relation to the punctuation marks.

If you are a student, you're the one who would have to adjust. unless you are part of the scholarship program of etel which would only be given to those who have stayed with the company for two years and is currently passing the metrics.. :D

you have no abolute control on where you would like to be assisnged specially if the account is not available on all sites.

that was b4...
during the contract signing all you need to do is tell them wht site is your preferred site. so that you will be assigned in the right account.

in our batch we are deployed in the site the we prefred...

its easy to sell, if you are in an inbound sales account. mas mahirap sa outbound. what you have to concentrate is probing and then upselling..

^ nde ka pa hired, it means you have comm issues pa that they would like to see corrected in the 1 week training. If you pass, ok, pag nde, you're not accepted.

hello po...kumuha po ko ng exam nung friday sa Etelecare Alabang, pero di ako masyado pinalad na maipasa yung written at oral exam nila.

Tanong ko lang po pwede pa po ba akong mgpasa ng resume, kahit na nakakuha na po ako ng exam? o meron po silang sinusunod na...kasi di ba po sa ibang kompanya e, 6 months po bago ka uli mag apply at kumuha ng exam sa kompanya nila. 6 months din po ba bago uli ako mgapply sa company nila...kailan po ako pwede mgpass ng resume uli at kumuha ng exam?

For TSR Programs, based on what I know is they will offer you the TSR1 position immediately if you meet the minimum requirements and is qualified for promotion after three months, even if you are still on probationary status, if you meet the required metrics.

My GF is currently undergoing training with eTel right now, nakakainis lang yung schedule niya. 3 PM-12 AM sa ICite, tapos Parañaque pa uwi niya... Ranting lang, alam ko namang hindi maiiwasan yun, pero nakakainis pa rin hehe...

Sana next week iba na schedule niya.

You have to get used to this schedule dude. Call Center pinili ng GF mo eh. May ibang trainees nga 6 AM to 3 PM ang schedule and they're coming all the way from Bulacan or Cavite.

And kung pumasa man siya after Client Specs pwede siya pa assign sa Alabang Office.
