well, sken kc.. gn2 ngyri when i apply sa etel libis branch... initial.. then exams..mtgal un..then phone stimulation..and then final interview eh... ask ka ng intervieweer.. ng kung anu anu. dpende sa inplyan mo. ako kc CSR.. question such as.. panu mo ibbenta un gnitong bagy...with a limited time given sayo..and why etel wil hired you? then after that.. pghhntyin k nila and ssbhn nila *** kung nkapasa ka or not.. if nkapasa ka.. then for PET training k na..thats for one week and then final judgement kung in ka p din or out.. tpos job offer na..hays..msaya kc ok mga proctor..and matuto k ****..

applying in a call center is actually fun especially during the call simulation where u hear recorded voices of customers to test if u can understand different american accents. ive done an interview with convergeys before.i passed but didnt attend the training hehe =)

hnde po scripted un calls.. they will just give you a certain call flow and then you are only allowed to review those call flow in a few minutes and after that they will call you for phone stimulation. for a certain product let say.. you will present what you have based on the order that on the other line wants.. (thats for CSR ah..)rebuttals helps agad..pphirpan k sa tanong dun..haha..like *** nmn un color dun na gs2 nila.. so offer mo un kung anu *** meron dun.. haha.. dapat you know how to follow what they have to say..basta yun..and then after that you will wait outside na.. then wait to call your name and if you passed then you will sign a contract on that same day.. haha.. msaya po sya..

mga etel peeps, after 4 interviews, 2 kinds of exams(english and tech), call sim, pumasa ako sa lahat. may english training ako, yung lpet. mahirap ba ipasa yun, kailangan ba american accent o neutral accent, o basta proper english grammar eh papasa kana, ano ba ang way nila o grading system?Also yung csr ba eh puro billing accounts, 100% voice support ba?reading the previous posts, may dell/matrix account dito, eh diba may dell cc na dito?, so mawawala ba to sa etel o hindi?also, sa dell tech ba eh, meron bang non-voice, yung mga chat/email?

TECH- as of now Dell MOA is handling home and small buss. acct, samin hawak namin corporate accts(large buss. & gov. agencies), about chat support same as above. well, ramping nga yun dell account samin kc more calls are routed to us daw... blah.. blah.. la naman balita na tatangalin yun account, if that's the case.......... malapit naman MOA eh... hahahaha....

Take your time to research... We have Doctors, nurse and even a liscenced pilot employedd in a world class world wide company... read the star of this forum... compared to the negative things being discussed with other companies... :bashful: Very proud to have earned that 'e' mark... That's why a lot of employees are being pirated and offered higher positions in other companies and who happens to come back because of poor management, administration, and everything. It's really hard to copy the Etelecare way... so dear friend don't settle for 2nd best(not a winner)... 3rd best(nobody remembers)? :)

astig, bro!. I was really lucky to have passed that call simulation, about taking an inbound call (Land's End clothing company) and the other one, making a sale ( LA Times Newspaper ). A very stringent hiring process, but I have no qualms taking it. I'm almost done with my research and after this, I will be focusing my energies on passing that LPET and concentrating on my work. Yeah, don't settle for the 2nd,3rd,4th or 5th. Be in a multi awarded company that you will be proud of, wearing the I.D, w/ the "e" mark.

i would like to share my story...i joined etel last feb 5, 2007.
i actually applied for support position and so i was hired as part of the quality team for a CS account. i went through 2 weeks of client specifics training without going through the company orientation then i was transferred to a sales account. so, i went through 2 weeks of client specifics training again... :(
i'm not so happy with my experience and so i'm starting to feel like moving to a different center.:rolleyes:

actually, i had a 6-month stint with my ex-cc, tapos i didnt make it sa regularization nila cuz of my excessive absences. i incurred absences kasi i was in school nga, plus i was working towards my scholarship application. in the end, di ako na-regular...

is it alright if i say "my contract ended (6-months kasi) and i didnt make it to the regularization"? i think i explained my absences and the reason why i left the job poorly.


i really want to work for etel and i want another chance to prove myself...pano na kaya? how soon can i apply again? or should i just follow-up my application?

i filled out the commitment sheet tapos the HR told me, to just wait for the callllllllll...and my application will be reviewed against other applicants. tingin ko di na ako tatawagan.

please help. what do you think should i say about my absences next time? it will definitely come up again when apply at another cc.

eTelecare gives premium to Attendance and Tardiness kasi... well I guess that's my take on it... we're very strict in terms of absenteeism and tardiness, we have a rule here "2 in a month, 3 in a quarter", if yuo exceed that, you're given citation.

in eTelecare kasi, we are trying to make to have what we call "Universal agents". Meaning, even though you are profiled as a TSR, they are trying to check if you can also be effective as a Sales agent, or CS agent and the like... this is to make sure that everyone has equal opportunity especially for example when an account would be dissolved, they won't have a hard time trying to find a program that would fit for you in case that happens...

i know i was the best in the batch but unfortunately, i didnt make it. same thing, i was told to wait for their call :mecry: i think i gave them the impression that i will leave the company as soon as i get back to school..

my advise to you: what u told them about your absences is a demerit on your part. sana sinabi mo nalang that your contract has ended already or you are underpaid. wala nang tanung tanung yun ;)

Nope, 15k basic plus 3k non-taxable. The recruitment specialist told me that that's as high as they go. Which is sad because I really wanted to render my service for the company. Sigh.

No regrets though, I couldn't afford to take a pay cut even though it's for a company such as eTel. The interviewer was nice enough to tell me that I'm still welcome to reconsider in the future so who knows, God willing, maybe I'll be there as a QA or TL in 1 or 2 years. :)

As for prestige, I'm WAYYYY past the point in my career for company prestige. Convergys and Siemens International being the last 2 callcenter's I've worked for. Both of which are right up there in the "prestige" department. Heck, if those 2 companies had tech accounts at Alabang, or better yet, in Sta.Rosa where my home is at, I'd probably still be with them. That is, if "prestige" is what I'm after. But alas, I think I'll be still working (and renting) here in Manila for a couple more years till a better offer comes along. Besides, prestige is over-rated, Dell MOA and Libis peeps definitely know what I'm talking about. Hehe...

I applied sa etel alabang last month...i passed the exams and had an interview after that. I think di ako nakapasa kasi I tried to hide my health status- kasi sa last cc ko nagkahypertension ako. But I heard mahirap matanggap sa call center kung may hypertension ka. I have been taking daily meds for my hyptertnsion. Yun ang reason *** I incurred a lot of absences and lates sa prev call center ko and eventually i resigned. I tried to hide it kasi natakot ako kasi gusto ko sa etel tlaga...kaso nabuko ako ng inteviwer. Also, during the interview, she asked abt my clearance frm my prev call center..sbi ko wala pa kc finance is still recomputing it (kasalanan ko bang bobo ang finance ng dati kong cc?). I am honest naman ****, i dnt owe the company anything, engot *** **** ang finance dept nila til now *** pa final pay ko at w2 at clearance (sa kanila n *** *** signature, nakuha ko na lahat ng signatures). Notorious **** yung dati kong cc sa pgprocess ng clearance and final pay. I think i gave the interviewer the impression na may sabit ako sa dati kong cc...*** do u think. Advice me pls...kc how am i supposed to go through with my inteviews b sa future? *** n b me karapatan mag work? hu hu ..i wanna work na tlgaaaaaa...if i reapply and tell the truth abt my health, machechek b ng hr na di ako consistent?

guys, you can't give an exact percentage passing rate for LPET graduates. it's not 10%, not even 30%. the lpet batch of jan 29 to feb 9 had a 100% passing rate.

as for the question if it's necessary to go through lpet, know that there are two kinds of new hires: direct hires (they don't have to go through lpet as they've reached the minimum passing score) and the lpet trainees. lpet means language pre-employment training. it's a condition that after two weeks of training and during evaluation you've reached the minimum passing score, you're entitled already for the job offer as a new hire.

@newyorker... i don't think hiding something would really help you. because most of the cc's require medical exams and all. i did have an agent who has stage hypertension, oh yeah, i said "did" because eventually he resigned because of this. he was from another account in cc3 and he submitted an LOI to any program in CC2 because of his case. i find it funny, i don't exactly know the relation of the site versus his condition...

tips on how to hide your hypertension:

sugatan mo sarili mo till u bleed, then un, pag mga isang timba na nawala sayo for sure your BP will go down, hypotension ka na nun! saka ka magpakuha ng BP...hek hek...

take twice the amount of your anti hypertensive drugs (beta blockers, calci block etc...) then magpakuha ka na ng BP. after nun, go **** to the Hospital para once ur heart starts to malfunction eh malapit lapit na ang ICU.

sugatan mo sarili mo till u bleed, then un, pag mga isang timba na nawala sayo for sure your BP will go down, hypotension ka na nun! saka ka magpakuha ng BP...hek hek...

take twice the amount of your anti hypertensive drugs (beta blockers, calci block etc...) then magpakuha ka na ng BP. after nun, go **** to the Hospital para once ur heart starts to malfunction eh malapit lapit na ang ICU.

After that, kung babalik ka sa April 28, it would be the final stage. That will be the final interview at baka mag phone simulation ka afterwards. Kung papalarin ka at pumasa......pipirma kana ng contract...yun yung maganda....
pero kung hindi may pag asa ka pa kasi baka mapunta ka for LPET. Language Pre-employment Training. Training yun for 2 weeks at kung pumasa ka sa evaluation...hired ka na. Yun lang. Pinagdaanan ko kasi yan eh....hindi nga lang ako nag LPET at di ako nun umaasa na papasok sa etel.hehhehehe

@ereth, if I may ask, weren't you given any heads up that you're being transferred to sales? or were you given any rationale as to why you have to be transferred in the first place...

in eTelecare kasi, we are trying to make to have what we call "Universal agents". Meaning, even though you are profiled as a TSR, they are trying to check if you can also be effective as a Sales agent, or CS agent and the like... this is to make sure that everyone has equal opportunity especially for example when an account would be dissolved, they won't have a hard time trying to find a program that would fit for you in case that happens...

i'm really not happy with my stay, to be honest that it came to a point wherein i emailed the HR person who hired me to ask what my options were...sad thing she advised me to speak to my supervisor. i don't feel my supervisor like me...up to now i'm really forcing myself to come to work everyday as in FORCING myself to work.
what do you suggest? i'm really worried about the bond, i don't have enough resources to pay for it (in case!) i really wanna transfer to other CC...

i suggest you talk to someone, ideally, you have to talk to your TL, I encourage my agents to talk to me so as to be more transparent if they have problems on anything... in your case, first and foremost, don't ever assume...you'll never know, try first to consult your TL, if and when you feel that you didn't feel the sincerity, i am sure you have found some peers who are trustworthy enough to confide these predicaments, it's better to come to work because you are looking forward to it... if you really want to be a QA, then there are internal vacancies every now and then for QA positions, you can always file an LOI... just make sure that if you decide to leave, better to do it in the proper way by filing resignation letter and all because going on AWOL won't do any good on you, even if you find yourself out of the company... :)

Hi everyone!

I applied for a Customer Service Associate (CSA) in e Telecare at last Friday's job fair at the Megatrade Hall. I agreed to have an on-the-spot initial interview, and was scheduled for an exam on Tuesday of the following week. I went to the Eastwood Career Center, took 3 written exams in 1 hour (first was about the otter, second about a dialogue between 2 lawyers, and third a listening test). Only 2 of us from the group was asked to stay for the next round of the screening process. I was interviewed by a guy, I presume this is the resume interview, but he asked nothing about what's indicated in or related to my resume. His questions were more related to my application form such as what position I was applying for, my expected salary, interests/hobbies, etc. It was very much different from the other person's interview because she was asked to read aloud some sentences/paragraphs, while I didn't go through that. Also, I think the one who interviewed me is the senior recruiter, considering his office/room was one of the largest in the floor, and it was a closed door interview (unlike the others).

Anyway, after asking me some questions, he started discussing to me an account called Speedway wherein I will be designated as an Inbound Sales Agent should I pass all other exams/interviews. He then started discussing about the salary, incentives and the dreaded bond. He told me that the Speedway sales agents are the highest paid agents amongst all in eTelecare, with a taxable base pay of 13k/month, 8k non-taxable allowance, 30% ND, commissions, 2,5k perfect attendance incentive, and other random incentives. All in all, it could amount to at least 30-40k a month. However, the bond deal requires me to commit to them for at least 7-9 months (rotating shifts and sites, I assume) or else pay them 45k.

45k is a hefty sum, something I could not afford should I get stuck in that situation wherein I get terminated or I resign. Although the salary and incentives are very attractive, is it advisable that I take the risk?:confused:

I am, by the way, a fresh graduate from a reputable university. A career in a call center for me is not really what I consider as my dream job or anything of that sort. However, I don't really want to spend months bumming around or perpetually looking for another company to hire me, and the money I'll earn will be spent to send my sibling to school and pay the bills. What should I do? I asked for a week to think about this, and hopefully, some of you can enlighten me on the pros and cons of taking this risk. Thanks to those who would help.:depressed:

I just want to share my thoughts about your inquiry for etel. I am an employee of etel and to tell you, I have the same experience. I am also a fresh graduate ( a year ago) from a university in Iloilo and has no plans of entering a call center job. I want to practice my craft first but for the need of money and i dont wanna be a bum and just stay at the house doing the "kain-tulog routine" so i grabbed the offer of etel.

Speedway is a good program and they got good incentives. Regarding the bond, at first I was hesistant to sign the contract because of i don't have 40k to pay the company if i left them for some reason, but something hit me at that moment. The most important thing at that moment is that I'm gonna have a job and I'm gonna get paid for that! Generally the bond of etel is to cover all the trainings you'll gonna get and the processing of your papers. They only want you to stay for the company for 6 months, after that you'll never have to problem about the bond. You can actually leave the company within 6 months by AWOL to avoid the bond but the downside of it is: they can actually search you to pay the bond or you cannot enter other call center companies because they are member of the call center association of the Philippines! (kaya nila mag send ng mga black listed)

As you have cited, you want the money for your siblings education, pay the bills and just be lazy. So i suggest, try it out first! In the long run maybe you'll gonna enjoy it and at the same time benefit from it, just like me. If not, you can leave the company. You have to make sacrifices for your family and this is just one f them.

I am not pushing you to be with etel but i just wanna let remind you to make a wise decision for yourself and for the family. I hope you are a bit enlightened.

From what I was told it has been in existence for more than 4 years now. The HR staff said you would be selling/upselling vacation packages . He used a specific term for it, and if I recall it right it's called "time sharing.":D

technically meron pa rin IF you want to secure your clearance. di ka naman nila hahabulin sa bond but ang catch doon is, if you apply for another call center na, sa kamalas-malasan mo e ka-org ng etel sa call center org where it belongs, blacklisted ka or that call center will demand from you a clearance from etel para lang matanggap ka. so ayun. good luck :)

it really depends on the program. i am from matrix/dell account. sa amin hindi lang metrics and may grade, syempre pati attendance, aux/break deviation, usage of tools and etc.

we're following a grade system. 1.0 being the lowest and 3.0 the highest. high grades will result a higher Performance Allowance and accompanied by PROMOTION.

kung 3 grade mo. 25% increase of your pay every month and then multiply it by 3 (1 quarter)...do the math.. :)

zpaul: ooppss...just to set your expectation.. a+ cert is given to HSB agents only. its not easy to be an HSB agent. im not sure if the company is hiring/training new applicants for HSB. as the aforementioned statement. hsb agents were just pulled out from ACS, and there's no a+ cert in ACS. so, u have to render service first in ACS before u can be transferred to hsb. i/we (from ACS) received an email/survey a while ago from our SOIC, asking who are interested to fill up the incomplete roster of HSB account that will be assigned in Makati... meaning there are free slots in hsb, but as u can notice.. agents from ACS are being informed first.

HSB - dell consumer account (home users)
ACS - dell relationship account (corporate/large businesses)
SOIC - shift officer in charge/boss ng mga TLs

it really depends on your intentions. if you merely want to be fluent in the language and you don't have any intention of working in the industry, that's not a good combi. trust me. although it's true that as an intensive practice/application ground, the call center training can help you with your fluency/proficiency probs.

I suggest you take the LPET, it's training with allowance anyway, even if you don't pass, it's a learning experience.

huh, i've been and passed the recruitment process. I took LPET training for almost a month only to find out that I not allowed to take the AI because I tend to speak fast?

Sorry for them na lang, they choose a lot of over aged undergraduates, auto technicians, single parent, and young parents over an IT degree holder like me(that was very indeed knowlegeable in PC Troubleshooting) for an TS position? (What the heck)

And now they are REALLY hunting for TS applicants through advertisement(Job fair, malls?), phone interviews, and craving for referals left and right?

But in fairness I have a great time in LPET training, the trainor and co-trainees were fun and approachable! I just missed them badly....
How I wish that they consider an applicant's(or trainees') academic records in college too before they denied or hire them because college years tells also what kind of work attitude does the applicant has... whether he or she is determined(to learn and work) or just a pretty/handsome pretentious lousy scumbag...

now, as for the people who passed, if they surely did have or at least possess our minimum required language skill score, then they're in, REGARDLESS of background.

Hi Precious84, are u fr0m eTel's HR or recruiting? Want to ask something very important for me kasi.

I re-applied just last week and have passed everything from initial to account interview. the thing is, eTel can't hire me daw. after 6mos pa daw kasi, yung last company where i worked tagged me as terminated. that company kasi didn't accept my resignation and left me with no choice, i didn't go to work for 2 weeks. excessive absences ako bale. i included that co. kasi kala ko performance ang irreference check ng etel..

What i want to know is, talaga bang 6mos pa kung gnto yung issue? **** i passed everything na? wala bang chance na ndi umabot ng 6mos at matawagan ako **** ilang months plng? at kung 6mos nga, do i hve to go thru the same application process again?

A year ago, after passing the pre-employment training I signed the employment contract as CSA. But I did not show up due to some reasons but my bad because I did not explain to them. They called everybody I listed on my character references but failed to locate me. I did not get my copy of the contract as I was told that they would only give it to me if I complete all the requirements within 2 weeks starting on my first day of the job. Early this month, an etel agent referred me and a staff from the HR interviewed me through phone. I passed the interview and they requested me to take the exam. I passed the written exams, role-play and the final interview and was told to wait for their call. I applied for TSR by the way. 2weeks ago, I got a call and they said I must undergo the language pre-employment training (again! I'm just not sure if they knew I've been through that already). I am still working in an IT-firm so they offered me the choice to select the schedule where I can attend the training undisturbed (??for lack of better word). By any means, is there a chance that I would blow things off because of my previous record? Please help............

MnM is basically a financial account.. If you're in to numbers, this is the program for you. In one tagalog word to describe it is, "Bigatin" to. You're gonna answer inquiry calls regarding Mutual Fund Accounts / Brokerage Accounts which range from policies and procedures, basic tax questions, account information, and new updates.

Training will be for around 6 months. With lots of perks of course. The pay is good compared to CSA's and TSR's. You may wanna read the first few pages of this forum where they talk about the MnM account.

Hello guys I didn’t thought that there was a 2nd or 1st thread of etelecare? Or the formal thread for etelecare here in PEX(I didn’t expect that it can be found here in the 25th page of threads, what an “effort” to wait for the server of the PEX to get me here as I scan throughout some threads looking for an IT company, >> I browsed also another etelecare thread before but its all about the beautiful and handsome agents<<).

Well all I can say that this company was indeed one of the best CC ever established, even though I didn’t have a chance to be part of this company for a long time at least for a month in the pantry:
- I’ve tasted the free Milo, Ice Tea and Cappuccino.
- I’ve surfed the free internet kiosks and checked my email every during breaktimes
- I’ve sung with the Magic Sing once(thanks to my trainor Raul for he had lended us his ID)
- I’ve played a PS2 game for the first time in my life! (how I wish, just joking, for employees only)

The LPET has been mentioned in this forum for several times. I know this too because I’ve taken it for about a month. If I’m right this was Language Pre-Employment Training that every applicant have to undergone for two consecutive weeks which includes accent neutralization techniques (the Intonation, Stress, Linking, and Articulation). This short course contains some introductory topics about proper customer handling (esp. for irate callers). As the training days passed by, you have to undergone a lot of tongue twisting exercises and confidence boosting role plays. And so many more exciting challenges that your class might do.

BUT

After two weeks of fun learning, building with a good amount of camaraderie with co-trainees and trainor, then the day of the most awaited EVALS(short for evaluation), will come. Expect the unexpected. It might be one of the most happiest day or depressing day of your life(sounds exaggerated, so be prepared). The verdict will be coming from the american mestisa(yeah, shes not pure american) Queen of all LPET trainors as she is the one who will evaluate you. And her verdict will be final, regardless of your performance during training days, if you didn't passed her standard then thumbs down. For those who had a good verdict, you will have a VERY MEMORABLE session with the councilors of that branch, and you have to PREPARE REALLY yourself for that. For what will happen these sessions is confidential(definitely, to be fair for all applicants and employees), you'll be hearing about it soon during LPET training days.

For first time LPET takers, if you didn’t passed either of the two sessions, you have an option to take the LPET again for two weeks and be evaluated for the second time next next saturday. This is optional for you. If you’re unsure about it, just tell it politely the Recruiting personnel after getting your allowance. A good option also for those who had plenty of turning points. For the second timers, if you passed all two sessions be grateful for it(prepare your ball pen and use it for almost 20 times in 2 hours), if not, don't despair, its not the end of the world. Still LPET is a free course with etelecare pays you for attending it(well, the contentment for the training allowance may vary according to the distance of trainees’ resting place to the site, and if the “clock is ticking” for the trainee).

Well unfortunately I am an LPET second time taker who didn’t got a good verdict from the Queen, to tell you honestly there were many factors behind that verdict, although she said I got it all “almost”, still there was a significant factor that I’m missing, and she can’t let me have session with the councilors(I’m really prepared for this, I've formulated my own strategies before the BIG day, though just wasted) while I’m lacking of that. She told me that before during the first evaluation and still I didn’t make it with the second(hint: one of the manifestations of being “nervous”). Well I’ll have an explanation for this guys, and I hope that my trainers and colleagues have read this for they may wonder why I failed:

I’ve asked my friend(since schooldays) about this for why I’m quite in “tension” every time I spoke with the queen, with the fact I’m really prepared. He asked me only one question: “Is she beautiful?”. “Were the two of you alone together?” Upon replying with a sure yes answer, he asked also he told me that it was natural for us, who humbly spend almost a decade (from secondary to tertiary) in a popular “all boys” educational institution, to be disturbed and nervous when speaking close with beautiful woman, in an “enclosed room”. Upon realizing this, it was indeed true. The beauty of queen had somewhat distracted my concentration from the very start for two times. Plus the fact that it was the first time I’ve encountered a female foreigner (male foreigner? often our college had plenty of them in the seminary). Whew, how a I wish I shouldn’t have looked at her directly from the start:bashful: , but its hard for me and might be awkward for her, to do that in the session.

In the afternoon of that day I’ve said my gratitude and parting words to two great trainers and their queen, and to my colleagues in two Waves #(secret) I’ve been with for almost a month, with a smile on my face. Not knowing by them that night I shed tears for humiliation and for missing the company and my co-trainees a lot.:mecry:

Anyway things happen for a purpose, although I really wanted to be there but I didn’t make it there, still I have a hunch that there is valid reason that I didn’t know for not having a chance to work in there(maybe in the near future, I might figure it out). It’s just that I have to look forward and hope/pray to find what is really meant for me upon Lord’s guidance. Finally, I thanked Our Lord for blessing me a memorable experience to be in Etelecare. If ever I will be given a chance to work in a call center for the rest of my life, I wanted to be in Etelecare, the contact center that cares not only for its clients, but especially for their employees.

I'm thinking of having the CSA contract from Etel that I signed last July 18 cancelled. The person from HR offered the M&M account (Tonka) to me once I pass a 3-day boot camp for the account. I'm set to start July 30th but I'm having second throughts now since I also have an equally viable offer from CVG. Also, the account in Etel involves passing 2 US licensure exams for financial services and a bond of a year and a half due to the extensive cost of training. As posted before, the account has prestige and is great if you are "good with numbers". Honestly, I'm not too eager about financial services since I've always loathed numbers and I'm told its so much more difficult for people without any accounting or legal background. Travel time is also a bummer since I live nearer CVG Commonwealth.

What d'you guys think are the implications of cancelling this contract? I'm also open to clarifications about the account and further recommendations with regard to working in Etel Libis.

the "queen" you are talking about is either cecilia or veronica, i assume. you see, regardless of their presence, what evaluators-trainers have to think about during evaluations is if the trainee can be understood by their American customers if ever they become agents on the floor.

monsignor_g was right when he said that no matter how good your performance was during class, it really isn't going to affect the evaluation criteria.

in alabang two weeks ago during the evaluation i conducted, again, without the "queen", a trainee i endorsed for a retraining argued with me for almost half an hour re how much he needs the job and why his performance in class should be considered.

i evaluated 40-/+ people last friday in our makati site without the "queen" and it's very exhausting both physically and emotionally because the so-called "appeal to emotions" factor was constantly being used by one trainee after another during that time.

an appeal to trainees: please, please practice the language you're targeting EVERY CHANCE YOU GET (try to speak in English EVEN BEHIND THE TRAINERS' BACKS!) if you really want to make the cut.

But if you will ask me for that question, just don't too much expect good about the results of Evals since everything in this world is unsure. If only I could turn back time, I should have spend those nights after the training, in finding some "turning points" if in case I failed the training, it wouldn't been so much pain in the heart, or me as a bird flying so high in the sky, didn't flanked so painfully hard. But I never did because I'm quite optimistic and I regret that until now I can't redeem the jobs opportunities(like for e.g. the Microsoft Server trainee position offered ITI, waaaaa:mecry: ) I've missed for almost one month. And this is my mistake and moral lesson I guess. So my advise is take the LPET because its totally free but at the same time consider other opportunities. Afterwards whichever is sure and secure, just grabbed it.:)

Well I do understand your point, I thought of that also before, pleading to the queen for her mercy, but I think I don't have to do that since foreigners are strict in working with clear on the tasks objectives assigned to them. But somehow Filipino people tend to appeal emotionally for so many reasons, some are valid and not. Just like what I've said in my previous post, being contented on the results of evaluation and the LPET allowance varies for the trainee. Its either they put so much expectation(for the results), or sacrifices(while in training), or the clock is ticking(for those who were in an odd, pressured situation). All in all Its upon the discretion of the trainers and evaluators, and one day performance(ouch) of the trainee.

guys nalilito kasi ako, during the phone interview i have one mistake in customer part of the simulation but i ace the sales part, so they consider me for a LPET for sales, e technical inapplayan ko, then sabi ng naka LPET, 90% na daw kang sure matatangangap at 2 weeks or 10 days daw ang training. ng naka sign na ako e 3days lang? at ang kasama ko hire na daw sila pero pina LPET pa kasi from tech sila to sales. pero may training na kasi ako ng phone sim at cutomer handling lalo na ng irate, may grammar, stress at ibat ibang communication training sa isang agency. ano gagawin ko may tips ba kayo kung ano gagawin sa LPET para sure ko makuha ang Job? wala po ako problema sa confidence at smiling po akong tao the interviewer even praise my enthusiastic behavior at pagka spontaneous kong magsalita, ang problema Engineering Graduate ako Computer Engr. how do i pass thsi LPET na 4 lang kami na consider

Its all up to you however just to give you an even better idea what MnM is (although matagal na ako wala sa account na to) its actually Ameriprise FInancial (www.ameriprise.com). Its the US 4th largest wealth manager.

M&M is actually just an internal code by Etelecare for this program. The client is Ameriprise. I dont think its as big as Dell pero its one of the better programs, definitely elite yung mga taga program na ito sa company.

i think the problem was brought about by the merging of IBank and Union Bank which has caused so much trouble in their systems which directly affects us Etel employees...but this should be fixed in due time... :)

I decided to jump ships since our wave in M&M Tonka was dissolved due to client's decision. Instead they relegated half of the wave to a new back office LOB. For me, it was an entirely different thing than what I signed up for; with the new LOB not requiring a US license and not having the complexity premium. During that time the post for Language trainers was open so I inquired. After the interview over at recruitment, they offered me the Client Specifics Training post. Fortunately, I passed my training specialist demo last week over at Alabang and I'm set to start at Shaw this Wednesday I think. I believe I would be assigned either in Shaw, Makati, or Alabang, from time to time, depending on the campaign's bandwidth.

To all trainers in the thread, I would appreciate any heads up and tips =) I'm all fired up to be a trainer! hehe

I believe that would depend on the kind of background you have and if that is relevant to the program you're entering.

Makati programs are mostly sales and technical support with one program offering customer care. Most are on graveyard shifts but we do have a couple of programs that run 24x7.

Yes and the requirement is not impossible or stringent. It only requires all employees to be dressed properly in a corporate setting. Hope that helps.

Vonage CS in Makati will be shut down totally as the CS will now be concentrated in Cebu where it was originated. Vonage TS will stay.

Collectively, majority of agents and TLs will be adopted by Sprint in Shaw which is planning to have 750 agents when it launch, and up to 3,000 agents if possible in the future...

CBG stands for corporate business group, HSB would be "home and small business". all Matrix HSB peepz will be transferred to CBG, for what reasons, i guess it all boils down to money. :lol:

hi guys.. i'm new here.. let me tell you a little story..

nung friday (Sept.9),my friend was scheduled to take her exam kc, eh since wala pa ako work, kinukulit nya ko na samahan ko sya sa libis..
since mabait ako (pag tulog), eh d sumama na rin ako, pinagpasa nya ako ng resume.. tapos sya naman nag-exam na.. sabi nung receptionist wait ko daw na tawagin nila ako sa waiting area.. eh ang tagal, dapat aalis na ko pagdating nung friend ko.. eh kaso before sya dumating, tinawag na ko 4 the initial interview with Jomy.. then, balik daw ako after an hour 4 the exam naman.. before i was about to take the exam, nakita ko na friend ko, bumagsak daw sya sa exam.. ayun, nag-exam na rin ako..
naipasa ko yung 3 exam, then interview with Pauleen, then interview with Star.. then call simulation with Gelo.. then IT Exam with Bamby.. tapos, ang last stage ng aking pakikipag sapalaran dun, pinasign ako para sa LPET..

ayun.. sad to say, ako may chance pa para makapagwork sa eTele, pero *** friend ko mejo ndi kinaya..

Business outsourcing service provider eTelecare Global Solutions Inc. on Wednesday said it would be acquiring for $7.2 million a Philippine subsidiary of AOL, a division of conglomerate Time Warner Inc.

In a statement, Nasdaq listed eTelecare said that it will be purchasing all outstanding stock of AOL Member Services-Philippines Inc., a primarily non-voice customer care and technical support delivery firm based in Manila.

eTelecare said the deal will be finalized by the end of September.

"The acquisition... will enable eTelecare to further develop its non-voice service offerings, including e-mail and chat, by adding approximately 1,000 employees in the Philippines," the company said.

The firm will then use the newly acquired delivery center to cater to AOL customers.

"The acquisition of the AOL customer care and technical support subsidiary will expand our capabilities to serve the growing email, chat and other non-voice needs of our clients and the market. In addition, we are pleased to have this opportunity to work with AOL," John Harris, president and chief executive officer of eTelecare, said in a statement.

eTelecare is one of the leading BPO providers based in the Philippines.

Do we have any PeXers from AOL Pampanga who would like to comment on this impending take over by eTel? This would be the second company that eTel has acquired. Back in 2004, it acquired US-based call center, Phase 2 Solutions and with it its major client, Cingular Wireless (now the new AT&T).

@goldhart and other eTel people na rin: Yung mga hindi dapat i-post dito ay yung mga tungkol sa mga sensitibong impormasyon kung sino sino and kliyente ng eTel, mga pag-alis ng account, at iba pang mako-consider na 'insider information'. Puede kasing gamitin ito sa pag-rate ng value ng shares ng eTel sa stock market sa Tate. Kung maalala niyo, public company na ang eTel sa Tate kaya makaka-apekto sa value ng shares nito ang anu mang impormasyon na galing sa loob.

Yung mga post tinutukoy ko ay yung mga nilagay ni Jesse James na kumukuha ng impormasyon sa kapwa nating empleyado ng eTel ukol sa mga kaganapan sa mga accounts. Pansinin niyo ang mga post niya, di ba interesado siya kung aling account ang lumalaki, ali ang nag-sara?
