i just signed a 6-month probationary contract with etele. i applied at their recruiting site in Davao. Right now, i'm still waiting for the results of my medical exam but i'm pretty sure i passed. Until now, they still don't call me so i tried to call them instead and here's what they said to me:
the hiring for the CSA's in Makati has already reached its maximum number of probies but we are still endorsing you to Cebu coz that's your first choice. However, you still have to undergo some interviews (AGAIN?). We will call you by June 20 or July to see if your still open for that. So, you still have enough time to process your pre-employment requirements though. Just keep your line open so that we can reached you and we can informed you bout the results of your medical exam. You can just go home to your province coz we'll just call you anyway.thank you.

Question: Should i still have to wait for that so-called PROMISE? is the contract that i signed final and executory?or just a mere crap of paper full of bluffs? I just don't know what happen to that. can somebody pls. help me.! I have a theory though that they find someone much qualified than me. is that right? i'm actually a college undergrad and don't have any experince in call center yet but i managed to pass all their exams. as a matter of fact, at that time i was the only one left from all 3 applicants who were college graduates. they offered me a job in Makati and told me that i'm going to start the training on June 9. I have a question that I hope someone could answer. You see I signed my JO last month and was assigned a start date which is June 2, 2008.
Now 5 days before June I was recalled since my medical revealed that I had hypertension.. I was asked to go there and secure a clearance from the clinic (Yung nsa labas ng Shaw branch).
I did that and got the clearance from the doc, I was cleared for work given that I take the meds he just prescribed to me. I delivered the clearance to TinTin, the receptionist and she asked me to give it to their clinic on the 2nd floor. Doctor wasn't in so I was asked to wait for an email regarding my employment. I went there Wednesday May 28, so she said that the email will definitely be sent by thursday or friday. Up to now wala pa ding email.
Its fine if I was considered unfit to work y their doctor but shouldn't they tell me about it? So that I can apply in another company.

Actually gusto ko na nga kaso baka tangap p din ako and I get caught in the bond thing.

Pls help, what should I do? I tried calling them but i was a recording, I'm thinking of going there his monday to confirm.

it really depends on the clients forecast of calls... if they think youll be receiving volumes of calls, then they'll be scheduling more teams on that time...

I applied there last nov2007. i did passed evrything and had JO end of day..i had the med exam the nxt day wid grepalife in rcbc. sched for oct30 start date, dats monday. on sunday, HR called me that I needed to retake my x-ray at my own expense. so i did, patientfirst in glorietta gave me the result that im fit and the certification as well that im fit to work that there's a glitch with grepalyf's xray system. i submittd the papers to etel PBCOM HR, busy *** dat tym for halloween.sbi HR hntay ** twag 4 da new start date.. and the rest is history.. almost 8months nako JPMC *****. *** ***, nkakainis *** kz hndi q mn *** nlaman anu rason kaya hndi ako tinawagan

dude we have the same situation,
i already signed a contract with etel last my which states that were gonna stsrt by july 14.

But unfortunately they called us last week to tell us that they dont have an available slots for us.

i ask what about the contract and they said will resume in august, with that telling different alibies.

first, that a client back out. the position i have in the contract was tech support. but what i know it's a credit card company. how is that related with that position.

Second, they are still filling up the qualified candidates for the orientation.which kinda confuse me a lot. i dont know if ifs only a a delaying tactics theyre making or what.


Maybe you guys knows the real answer, pls PM me guys. i need your help to let me decide if i would wait or look for another call center, by the way im still working but not i a call center.

Sadly, I'm in the same sitch as with these guys. I signed my JO last May pa and was told that I'll start June 2. And its now a day before July and still nada.
What I want to know is if I'm bound by the bond because of my signed JO. Because if not, as much as I want to work for etel I'll have to look for other choices since I really need a job before september comes.

Based on my experience, you can actually do a retraction. Since you all haven’t started training yet, then you can call HR and tell them that you’d like to retract your contract. (There’s even a possibility that what they had you sign was an offer letter and not the formal contract since these contracts are actually given during the first day of training.) But let’s say that they had you sign the real contract, it is still okay to have it retracted. After all, the problem is on their end and not yours. Besides, they should understand that you have your lives to live and they shouldn’t put you in “limbo” like what they are doing right now.

You have 2 options: just ignore what you’ve signed and apply to another company (a lot are actually doing that, believe me!) or call them to retract the contract. (some companies actually require a retraction letter). It’s your call…But if I may make a suggestion, make a formal retraction. Call them or give them a letter—any reason will do or you may tell them the truth. Whatever reason you give, as long as you tell them that you want to retract the contract shows that you are a professional…Just ignoring them would leave a bad taste in the mouth…Hope this helps…

LIONELL—don’t worry…you are not restricted by the bond since you haven’t started training yet…the bond only applies to agents who have already started training.

hi all. im already going for the tech support training(or something) this monday. its 5 days and 150/day allowance. im really happy i aced the assessment interview so i wouldnt have to go through LPET.

question. if i pass the training, when can i expect to start? will they tell me to sign the contract and acquire the pre-employment requirements immediately?

also, i read the basic for TSR is 13,500, 3000 allowance and 30% nyt differential. but in my paper it says 12,000, 3k allowance and 30% nyt diff. did they really lower the basic?

I was interviewed yesterday nag walk in ako sa etelecare career center dito sa davao city...does anyone of you know if until when should i wait for the call from eTelecare Global Solutions for the final interview from the call center site that I want to be relocated? According to the final interviewer, I passed everything in the screening process, from the initial interview to the 2 written exams, listening test, language interview, second interview, and role playing. I just want to ask you guys about what happened when I passed the recruitment process at eTelecare.

They asked me to fill-up a commitment form where most of the questions are just the usual things you can hear from an HR and some clarifications if you're amenable to their suggested shifts. Afterwards, they congratulated me, told me that I passed eveything, and will just have to wait for their call about my starting date (actually, I was the only one who passed that time--yeah, two hours ago. Praise God :D). However, the HR has not offered me a job yet because according to them, they are still unsure of the date of the next batch hiring. What the HR did, she gave me her calling card (with her nick and her local number written on the card) and told me to wait for their call if a sales/tech support position will be available, as well as the exact date of training. Else, I may call them directly and ask about my status.

QUESTION: Should I worry about this? Am I really hired or what? Kumusta naman the people here who were recently hired/had the same, if not nearly similar/varied experience with eTelecare PBCOM's recruitment process?

Any response will be highly appreciated. :D

Guys, is there any way to make our backpay payout faster?

I finished my exit clearance and passed it to LIBIS site on first week of June and told me to email, Milet.Alviar@etelecare.com after a month for exact date of payout so I did.

I expect to receive it after a month or two as per Jhef Datoc of
Human Resources - Site Makati.

I emailed Milet Alviar from Finance-Payroll and told me that my payout date is 10/3/2008. Is this acceptable, backpay after 5 months?

Again, is there any way to make our backpay payout faster? Who can I email this concern?

it still depends on the clinic na nagcheck sayo.. sila kasi magsesend sa etel ng results mo and recommendations if capable ka ba mag work...

I had some batchmates before na nagkaproblema rin sa medical result, binigyan ng time, then after nun medical ulit.. yun ok na, fit to work na daw sya... ayun, adek na yun nagresign last month.. ahheeehhhehe

@hp_luna business casual, dress down on fridays, weekends, holidays and during days when theres a storm signal up. also depending on your account, this may vary... kc samin dati pwedeng maging dress down the whole week pag maganda ang attendance the previous week.

Ayala, through its affiliate LiveIt, and its partner Providence Equity Partners plan to acquire up to 100 percent of eTelecare's outstanding common shares (ETEL.PS: Quote, Profile, Research, Stock Buzz) and American Depositary (ADS) shares (ETEL.O: Quote, Profile, Research, Stock Buzz) for $9 per share, a 76 percent premium over its closing price on Nasdaq on Sept. 18.

ETelecare announced the buyout on Friday. The firm's ADS jumped 66 percent to end at $8.45.

ETelecare, in which LiveIt currently has a 22 percent stake, provides voice and non-voice customer-care services to Fortune 100 companies. Its clients include Time Warner's AOL.

Philippine holding firm A. Soriano Corp (ANS.PS: Quote, Profile, Research, Stock Buzz) said in a separate statement to the stock exchange it agreed to sell its 1.88 million shares, or 6 percent stake, in eTelecare to Ayala and Providence Equity.

A. Soriano will receive about $17 million from the transaction.

Philippine shares of eTelecare jumped 25 percent on Monday to close at 375 pesos ($8.08) following the disclosure, outpacing the 2.3 percent rise in the main stock index .PSI.

Pinabalik ako kinabukasan for an IQ and Aptitude test tapos nun kinausap ako na iniisip nila akong ilagay sa isang bagong account pero hindi pa daw sure yon kasi baka hindi mag-push through yung account pero i-poprofile pa rin daw nila ako. Walang naka-state sa contract about LPET, basta kumpletuhin ko na lang daw yung pre-employment requirements ko. Gaano katagal usually yung waiting time bago ka formally mag-start? BTW, undergrad ako with no call center experience.

And it also depends on the complexity of the program you're in. Complex programs would have CSA levels up to CSA 5. While simple programs would only be up to CSA 3 levels.

just got hired today. the hr people were nice but i've noticed that they're not too fluent in english and there was one hr lady who spoke too fast during my interview that i almost didn't get what she said but i was able to pass all the tests and the interviews. good thing's they're accommodating.

the hiring process was long but it was easy for me. i mean the exams were easy. the interviews? i took them casually. i dunno about the others though. i was the only one hired for a tsr position today and the whole recruitment process took like 7 hours for me. oh well, at least it was still a one-day process.

now the thing is i will still have to wait on their call regarding the orientation day. i'll start by december 15th by the way but nothing has been mentioned about the orientation.

another thing is the dress code. i hate or maybe dislike business attire. i dunno but i'm not used to it and it cost a lot and worse, this kind of attire is high maintenance. anyway, can i just wear a pair of skinny plaid pants, a polo shirt and a pair of chuck taylor? i hate leather shoes. they give me blisters. lol! i am sounding like a complainer already and i haven't even started. haha!

anyway, one more thing. etel assigned me for dell but they only pay P13500 as basic. i guess that's too low compared to dell's own site, convergys, sitel, telus, etc. they didn't even give a little consolation for my 6 months of call center experience in ibm daksh. this is a tsr position that i'll be working for and what they have offered me is a little too low in my opinion.

i'm worried of the P45,000 bond too. i think it's too big. i am so dedicated on the work given to me but what if something happens just in case? will i still be liable of the bond? bonds should be abolished!

so far i consider this company so-so. but we'll see in the near future. i hope when i train and work in etel, things will get better.

though starting pay is low, once you are a regular employee na, tata-as din yan, plus the quarterly bonus.

aside from the money, it's eTel.. c'mon.. just have atleast 6-12 mos experience with eTel, you can apply to other companies if you want to pursue on to the CC industry, if you're from etel, you have an edge.

will you be assigned in makati or eastwood? dresscode? hmmm yeah business casual attire.. though madalas dressdown (casual lang - shirt, jeans, chucks, etc) as incentive sa account or team mo.

Why did you apply @ eTel then? Well, aside from the name, eTel is for starters. yeah, for probies, 13k+, after 6mos. 15k+, once promoted to TSR 2, 19,400 basic, so on.. same allowance.. + the quarterly bonuses.. If you're good in terms of performance, you can get about 10k+ quarterly.. Back when I was in eTel, i got promoted to TSR2 immediately upon regularization.. I know you can do it, just don't mess up. :)

just got hired today. the hr people were nice but i've noticed that they're not too fluent in english and there was one hr lady who spoke too fast during my interview that i almost didn't get what she said but i was able to pass all the tests and the interviews. good thing's they're accommodating.

the hiring process was long but it was easy for me. i mean the exams were easy. the interviews? i took them casually. i dunno about the others though. i was the only one hired for a tsr position today and the whole recruitment process took like 7 hours for me. oh well, at least it was still a one-day process.

now the thing is i will still have to wait on their call regarding the orientation day. i'll start by december 15th by the way but nothing has been mentioned about the orientation.

another thing is the dress code. i hate or maybe dislike business attire. i dunno but i'm not used to it and it cost a lot and worse, this kind of attire is high maintenance. anyway, can i just wear a pair of skinny plaid pants, a polo shirt and a pair of chuck taylor? i hate leather shoes. they give me blisters. lol! i am sounding like a complainer already and i haven't even started. haha!

anyway, one more thing. etel assigned me for dell but they only pay P13500 as basic. i guess that's too low compared to dell's own site, convergys, sitel, telus, etc. they didn't even give a little consolation for my 6 months of call center experience in ibm daksh. this is a tsr position that i'll be working for and what they have offered me is a little too low in my opinion.

i'm worried of the P45,000 bond too. i think it's too big. i am so dedicated on the work given to me but what if something happens just in case? will i still be liable of the bond? bonds should be abolished!

so far i consider this company so-so. but we'll see in the near future. i hope when i train and work in etel, things will get better.

guys, please answer my questions above, ok? i will also be needing your opinions and comments regarding this company.

no. due to the recession in the US some accounts' call volume had been cut in half (due to people not patronizing their product/service) this means that there is overstaffing.. instead of firing these agents, theyre relocating them to programs that are available/ramping up.

i only went to their office once as well but after the interview they told me to take the medical exam the next day (they gave me a referral slip so it's free of charge) and they also gave me the requirements needed (sss, tin, etc). after 3 days they called and said that i am fit to work and to wait for another call for the confirmation of the feb. 2 training schedule. after a week they called again and said that the feb. 2 training was canceled but im already on the list so they'll just update me on when the next training schedule would be. finally 2 days ago etel called again and told me that they are currently finding a program for me (whatever that means) and that they will constantly call me to update my status.

to those na na delay ang processing, its not etel's fault nor the hr reps'. and no its not because of the financial crisis. there's just things that happen that are totally out of anybody's control and the call center industry, being as fast paced as it is, all we can do is just to go with the flow. in other words, sh*t happens :)

but it would be best to call them from time to time. if after a week you still havent heard from them, call them na.

I walked-in 4PM at their PBCOM HR applying as TSR. One-day hiring sila. After passing initial test (english grammar) interview agad and it was disclosed to me na if I pass the rest of the exams/interview the offer would be 13.5k basic + 3k MATA, 30% nytdif and 45k training bond.

graduating student na ako.. nung thursday nagpunta ako sa etel makati para magaaply for a full time job as an agent. i applied for csr. i went through: initial interview, exam, final interview and call simulation. during the initial interview, tinanong na kung kelan ako magiging available/matatapos mga klase... sabi ko march 2nd week. sinulat ng recruitment specialist sa application form ko na available ako sa march. tinanong din kung willing ba akong magtrain as tech sup. during the final interview naman, tinanong kung tuwing kelan at anong oras ako may pasok sa skul (meron ako ng mwf 1030-3). during the call simulation, super kabado pero naging okay naman. sinabihan din ako na maghintay ng tawag nila. i didnt receive a call. yung isang kasama ko di tinawagan pero nung mismong araw na nagapply sya sinabihan sya na for training na sya. ala naman kasing conflict sa sked nya yung sa training.

sa mga mahilig po matulog sa lounge lalo na yung mga mahihimbing matulog mejo ingatan din po ang mga wallet at celfone kapag matutulog kasi may malalakas din pala ang loob dito sa etel na manguha ng wallet sa mga natutulog na tao :bop: ang buhay nga naman ...

yung friend ko naman sa locker nawalan ng celfone. o diba ang saya. ayun AWOL ang drama nung kumuha [GUILTY]

uu..may nawawalan ng mga valuables sa lounge...kaya kung matutulog kayo dun, wag na magdala ng wallet...so far, lunch ko pa lang naman ang nawawala sken...
