I have moved companies every 3 years or so. How long would you stay in your current work ? Why ?

I have been in the same IT company since graduating from college (which was in 1995).

One good thing about being in an IT company is you sort of have that "experience" as if you're moving from one "company" to another as you move from one project to the other. (Of course, there's a bit of luck involved in that and I do believe that, in my over six years of stay in the company, I have always been in the right place at the right time that's why I get moved a lot.)

I have been involved in about 6 projects already, each with a different client. From each project, I got to know the client's business and, more often than not, got to travel onsite and meet them face-to-face.

In all, I guess I really am lucky that I didn't find the need to move from one "real" company to another. If, for anything else, I get to keep tenure.
