Being SHORTlisted

I applied with this company in makati, I had my final interview already two weeks ago. When I called to inquire about the status of my application, they said I pass everything successfully however, they don't have a definite hiring date yet and I'm already shortlisted. What does being shortlised mean? Do I have a chance to get hired? :rolleyes:

Did you get the business cards from your interviewers?

try to get in touch with the hiring manager(s) (not HR, they're clueless and most of the time don't make the decision) and ask in a polite manner where they are in the hiring process (you know, parang out of curiousity lang). This will also be a good time to reitirate your 'desire to work for them', assuming that there is a desire to begin with. Following through on key tasks is an important part of business. so this will bump you up that list if you aren't already. but do remember to keep the conversation short.
