Does anyone from Pex work there? I'm planning to apply there, but how? And is it true that C-Cube accepts even undergrads from "top" universities?

A couple of PeXers work there. They're a Lopez company, I believe -- and as such are regularly featured on ABS-CBN -- the last time, just yesterday.

You can find them behind Macau and those other restos in Eastwood City. Not sure about the undergrads, though.

C-Cube is a good company. Good training and all. But before you sign anything, just read the contract very carefully. A lot of people apply and get accepted, but a lot of people also leave within 2 months. It's either they can't handle the schedule, the salary (pretty low compared with other Call Centers), or demanding team leads/shift leaders. It's a new company, and the chances to go up are high. You gotta be ready to face anything. Good luck to those who applied!

How low is low? Can somebody give us an idea how much a rep earns here?

normal procedure ba na papabalikin na lang or tatawagan na lang for exam? ksi i'm done na with the group interview, eh i heard from a friend na during his time after the interview daw, follow na kaagad ang exam sa afternoon. so ano, asa pa ba ako na me chance pa me?:(

one more thing, malaki ba ang difference ng sweldo pag local at international accounts?

read the news at Inquirer. totoo ba ito? their mother company Benpres would just concentrate na lang daw sa kanilang mga performing assets like ABS. talaga naman ang mga Indians, pati RP invaded na rin.

If this is true, what will happen to the Filipino jobs? Will they be moved to India? Will the new owners be committed to growing the number of jobs in the Philippines?

yes. this is true. watched it in ANC.

I remember asking the India question when a call center investment was being pitched to us. The reply was that for some areas of customer support (calming down irate consumers, maybe?), Filipinos are preferred over Indians as Indians tend to be more argumentative. Maybe the new Indian investors acknowledge this. After all, what does C Cube have that they can't already buy in India?

My sense is that Hinduja will retain C Cube's operations. The acquisition was meant to de-risk Hinduja's operations in India, which, as a result of India's ambivalent relations with Pakistan, is a growing concern among Hinduja's foreign clients. Thus, moving some of the capacity or having a peak load/back-up offshore facility in Manila addresses this concern. But I don't know if part of Hinduja's strategy is to increase significantly C Cube's capacity in the short term.

i was a pioneer of the cubed...and by the way, it's c-cubed, not c-cube. i left last january...been there for 2 1/2 years... in fairness, iv'e gained a lot of friends there and i've managed to get a clear grasp of how it is to work in a call center. this was my first job and medyo traumatic ang experience coz of company politics although alam naman nating lahat na every company has these things. it's a good job if you're the type of person who can do an all nighter, patient and you keep your mouth shut most of the time. it doesn't mean they don't listen to you...they just don't listen too well that's why a lot of people leave the company, even the good ones. rampant dito ang "palakasan" and kaibigan system (i've been a victim many times over) they could deny it all they want but i still hold to what i've experienced...compensation wise, not too competitive, unlike convergys or west... yung ibinalita nilang ibenenta ng BENPRES ang c-cubed sa indian company, we really don't believe that crap... besides ABSCBN, c-cubed is the only other lopez owned company raking profit for BENPRES...who in his right mind would give up a company na kumikita ng malaki? when they were starting, c-cubed merged with source 1, a geogeson holdings company from new jersey, to make it source 1 asia. they even sent the brother of the owner of source, nathan shapiro, to run the operations. at first everything was okay. pero nung lumaon, lumabas din ang mga problems nila. the lopez side of the company kasi wanted to pirate good call center people from etelecare and other old call centers to run the show. source 1 naman, wanted to hire internally for team leaders and operations people. mejo lumala yung gap nung kasi andyan yung politika, et al. eh hindi sanay ang mga kano sa ganung work ethic ng mga pinoys, so they bailed out. ang ginawa nila, they pay the rent for the place, pero they don't share accounts anymore. kumbaga, iisang bubong pero ang kay pedro kay pedro, kay juan, kay juan...kung pabagsak na ang c-cubed, i hope not. madami pa akong mga friends working there eh, at least for their sakes eh masalba yung company... kaya lang medyo tagilid sha talaga kasi kahit si nathan, left to head another call center. what does that tell you about a company? well, di naman tlaga fault ng c-cubed why nathan left kasi i think it was an internal arrangement between him and his brother, dave. kung sila nathan siguro ang nagpatakbo ng c-cubed the whole time, ang ganda sguro nung company and i shouldn't have left it. i hope this enlightens people na nag-aaply sa c-cubed. you could try pa rin but don't get your hopes up too much. baka mapunta kayo sa account na anadun ang POWERPUFF GIRLS...guguho ang mga pangarap nyo to move forward :)

ive past their exams already and tom will be our contract signing. ok ba dito? depende talaga sa acct yan at dun sa mga TLs ng mga acct. kahit kasi madali yung acct kung ku*pal ang mga TLs at QAs (marami sila!), panget rin ang call center experience mo. tech support ako dati diyan, medyo nahilo-hilo lang ako pabagobagong policies ng acct ko considering tech support lang dapat yun!

and yung sinasabi nilang 14K kaagad pag pumasa ng product training, THAT IS NOT TRUE AT ALL! you have to be certified twice or thrice or 4x for different splits, etc before umabot ng 14K ang sweldo mo! and that will take AT LEAST 6 months!!!

Soon-to-be Cubist here. Passed their "rigid" screening process in one day, then endorsed na ako for medical exam to which if I get the "Fit-to-work" thing from the clinic, saka ibibigay ang contract. Ang kaso nga lang, either after 2 weeks or worst sa July 15 pa ang start date ko if ever (depende sa client!)

But the rant aside, OK rin ang C-Cubed, sa facilities pa lang.

hiring ba c3 *****? do they accpet undergrads?

info on the recruitment process plus the location na rin. thanks!

Yes, hiring ang C-Cubed ngayon. They accept undergraduates for their accounts. And OK lang din ang walk-in, for as long as you have to be there by 9 am.

Recruitment process (I'm speaking by experience, what I have undergone since last week)

1. Phone interview 9especially if you're a referral of a C3 employee, but it took me 2 weeks from the time I passed my resume' to my friend there to that call last week)
2. Second interview
3. Computer-based exams (listening, typing and listening+typing)
4. Paper exams (Culture fair, comprehension and grammar)
5. Role-play/simulation
6. Medical exam
7. Contract signing

I'm just waiting for the contract signing kasi kanina lang ako nagpa-medical. kakaiba dito kasi nauna pa ang medical exam since in most CCs, the medical exams usually happen after contract signing.

You can visit C3 at #1 E-Commerce Avenue, Eastwood City Cyberpark, Libis, QC. Pagbaba mo sa Citibank (along E. Rodriguez Jr. Avenue) lalakarin lang yan and makikita mo yung signboard na C3 na matatanaw mo kahit na nasa me IBM Plaza ka pa lang.

Hope this helped.

So sad naman about your experience with C3. Ako naman nagapply 2 weeks ago sa RMH through their job fair kaso hindi na nila ako tinawagan kung papasok pa ako sa final interview o hindi na, so it would've been safe to assume na hindi ako pumasa. So I tried my luck in C3 and kahit na malayo to sa amin I'm willing to take the risk. Kung hindi pa ako nagaaply sa RMH I'm willing to take your recommendation, or if OK lang pwede pa bang i-followup yung application ko dun? Hmmmm...

i was a pioneer of the cubed...and by the way, it's c-cubed, not c-cube. i left last january...been there for 2 1/2 years... in fairness, iv'e gained a lot of friends there and i've managed to get a clear grasp of how it is to work in a call center. this was my first job and medyo traumatic ang experience coz of company politics although alam naman nating lahat na every company has these things. it's a good job if you're the type of person who can do an all nighter, patient and you keep your mouth shut most of the time. it doesn't mean they don't listen to you...they just don't listen too well that's why a lot of people leave the company, even the good ones. rampant dito ang "palakasan" and kaibigan system (i've been a victim many times over) they could deny it all they want but i still hold to what i've experienced...compensation wise, not too competitive, unlike convergys or west... yung ibinalita nilang ibenenta ng BENPRES ang c-cubed sa indian company, we really don't believe that crap... besides ABSCBN, c-cubed is the only other lopez owned company raking profit for BENPRES...who in his right mind would give up a company na kumikita ng malaki? when they were starting, c-cubed merged with source 1, a geogeson holdings company from new jersey, to make it source 1 asia. they even sent the brother of the owner of source, nathan shapiro, to run the operations. at first everything was okay. pero nung lumaon, lumabas din ang mga problems nila. the lopez side of the company kasi wanted to pirate good call center people from etelecare and other old call centers to run the show. source 1 naman, wanted to hire internally for team leaders and operations people. mejo lumala yung gap nung kasi andyan yung politika, et al. eh hindi sanay ang mga kano sa ganung work ethic ng mga pinoys, so they bailed out. ang ginawa nila, they pay the rent for the place, pero they don't share accounts anymore. kumbaga, iisang bubong pero ang kay pedro kay pedro, kay juan, kay juan...kung pabagsak na ang c-cubed, i hope not. madami pa akong mga friends working there eh, at least for their sakes eh masalba yung company... kaya lang medyo tagilid sha talaga kasi kahit si nathan, left to head another call center. what does that tell you about a company? well, di naman tlaga fault ng c-cubed why nathan left kasi i think it was an internal arrangement between him and his brother, dave. kung sila nathan siguro ang nagpatakbo ng c-cubed the whole time, ang ganda sguro nung company and i shouldn't have left it. i hope this enlightens people na nag-aaply sa c-cubed. you could try pa rin but don't get your hopes up too much. baka mapunta kayo sa account na anadun ang POWERPUFF GIRLS...guguho ang mga pangarap nyo to move forward :)

hi, just like you i used to work there. nabutan pa kita dun kasi last quarter ng 2002 ako nag-umpisa dun. okay naman yung training ko except for the product specific. magulo kasi yung trainor at wala naman yung equipment na itrotouble shot nung training kaya nahirapan ako for tech support. besides, i originally signed a contract w/ them for another account, tapos bigla nung training ay nilipat kami ng batch ko for tech support lahat.
pero nagresign pa din ako after 4months kasi parang wala na yata akong day off. yung tl ko kasi gf yung isang teammate ko na laging nakikipagpalit ng schedule, tapos forced overtime pa palagi kasi closer ako. pero ang hindi ko makakalimitan ay nung hindi ako pinag log out kahit na masakit na yung lalamuman ko kasasalita! imagine, they allowed everybody to log-out except me kahit na may pila pa ng calls. i felt that it was unfair cause i was already having a difficult time talking and i was really tired kasi sobrang OT na yun.
curious lang ako, sino kaya yung powerpuff girls dun. :)

iyah-kin, what do u mean by "walang bond?" wala na silang 1-year bond? Actually, yun lang yung nka-turn-off sa'kin, 'yung you have to pay the training fee if you won't be able to stay, for at least a year. :(

Guys, is this true? I mean meron na ba sa inyo nka-experience magbayad nung fee because you weren't able to stay for one year?

charistar , failed training kasi eh .. compliance issue .. ahihih .. kaya i dont need to pay for the bond .. but for my co-agents .. tinatawagan talaga ng c-cubed for them to settle the bond .. pero ayun .. pinagtataguan nila..

ano benefits ng RMH??
actually,my first call center experience is from c3..di ko type the the way that they do their eligibilty process(*** bago ka mag ojt..)unfair kc sa mga
*** trainors..at iinform pa nila *** agent na "hey,ur next to be monitored" eto *** make or break
time mo..sa amex me napunta...tpos d daw nila pwede me itransfer sa ibang account..nadala ako sa systema
skills...I can speak w/ an AMerican accent now at maganda benefits dito...kaya kung ako sa inyo..**

is the 30,000 bond worth it? it was worth it because i was able to improve my speech and grammar, customer service skills etc.
but that bond would have been cheaper if the trainors for the speech and grammar, american culture and geography were in house trainors. during my time, they were consultants.
btw, i was not asked to pay for the bond. i did ot go on awol, i resigned before i was certified due to health reasons.

Hi, I just would like to know if ito pa rin ang sinusunod nilang paraan para sa pagtanggap ng mga applicants? Un lang po...maraming maraming salamat!!!

yup, 30k pa rin ang bond. that's what we were oriented with bago mag-take ng exams which I really appreciated para at least, may overview. meron ding lock-in period of 1 yr. i'm not sure if that's the correct term. basta, bawal daw pumasok sa ibang callcenters within a year after your resignation.

and sabi sakin during my phone interview, may HOLDING FEE daw para sa mga expenses sa papers for examinations. kaya, with those facts in mind, di na ako tumuloy. i withdrew my application. di ko rin gusto yung location (masyadong malayo) at yung mismong production area (sorry talaga, pero based on what i saw, parang pabrika).

ok naman c-cube, bad trip lang talaga bond. kaya kong first time mong apply sa call center and you just want to try it, i suggest you apply to a diff call centre. maganda training. medyo panget lang nga HR kasi medy mali mali ang sweldo.

the training bond iss to prevent "hired" agents from moving to other centers, hence the coined NCC - Non Compete Clause that only peoplesupport follows.

I'm also from C3, and I have also tendered my resignation. I have a lot of friends who are now from other call centers, like West, Convergys, Infonxx, Sykes, Etel, Sitel, Eperformax, RMH, ICT. They're all around. If there's one thing that we cubists are proud of, its the training that we get and the fun that we had, parang isang community. Pag nag apply ka sa ibang call center, and you tell them you came from C3, they know that you're really good, and they would offer you better options. Ako, I'm leaving because I want to fulfill my dreams. I'm done with talking back to those nasty americans, di ako nag aral para sigawan lang mg mga taong nagmamarunong, noh!

Bigger i guess.. better? sino niloko mo? You really need to be a suck-up to get a position in this company (it's actually known as HTMT now). If you would be able to check, by batches nagsisialisan mga tao dyan. They say they take care of their employees, yeah right! You'll get better base pay pa. Nga pala I just read the start of the thread.. meron ang mention ng ibang accounts.. wala na rin ang mga yun (FCP, Chevron) na pull out *** mga accounts even before the move to the new site.

just to add, baka kasi isipin ng tao e biased ako kasi after how many years nandito pa rin ako. and recipe for success in a call center is always to look within yourself, always anticipate on what you can improve on, kung nag resign ka na agent at nakuha ka na tl sa kabila, well and good... kaya lang madaming biguan dahil hindi nakayanan or natanggal for whatever reason, kaya you also have to make sure na ready ka na for a higher position. pero madami ding mga kolokoy jan na ewan ko ba kung paano na promote wala nang ginawa kundi manigarilyo at chumika simpleng editing lang sa excel and formula generation di magawa, mali maling grammar kung gumawa ng daf at kung mag calls mas naiintindihan pa ang mga galing sa india... matagal ko na rin inisip na mag lipat sa ibang call centers, pero same banana rin ang naririnig ko from friends na lumipat, siguro it's choosing the lesser evil na lang. hirap din kasing mag aadjust ka pa and stuff... i'm still hoping that one day htmt will once again be the contact center of choice of employees and regain its position on the higher echelons within the industry
