is it bad to gain weight only to lose it again, then gain it again, then lose it again??? like going to the gym, then stopping for 2-3 months and losing the pounds again, then going again?:(

It's been associated with high cholesterol levels, high blood sugar levels, slowed metabolism, and accumulation of fat around the abdominal area, among others. However, most of the studies were not replicable, and did not distinguish between those who lost and regained weight through dieting from those whose change in weight may have been due to other reasons like illness or stress. In addition, most of the people followed in these studies were not obese. Thus, further research on the effects of weight cycling is needed. If you're overweight, it's still better to lose the extra weight. While the ill effects of weight fluctuations have not been proven, the health-related problems of obesity are proven.

sakuragi: maintaining at least 85 percent of the pounds you had lost is already a success. keeping the excess pounds off for good is only up to the person doing it. you should keep on motivating yourself to continue active physical activities. if you can't make it to the gym as often as you want to, why not try brisk walking around your subdivision every morning? how about going swimming or cycling for a while. of course, you should watch carefully what are you putting in your mouth. too much fatty foods can ruin your fitness/weight regimen.

if you want to keep or maintain your desired body, have a sense of motivation or responsibility. having a desired weight is not served on a silver platter (except if u were born with good genes), kailangan pinagpapaguran mo ito.
