Me too...

All I noticed is that Kris Aquino's wardrobe was similar to Anne Robinson's (Host of "Weakest Link") wardrobe.. the only difference is that hers is a combination of Balck and red colors..:o

My first impression of the game... :rolleyes: I wasn't impressed .. I'll give it some more time... then I'll comment again..

They try to keep it exciting pero parang trying hard.

Sa WW2BAM, parang nagiging exciting without them really trying.

But I guess dahil bago pa nga, medyo hindi pa natin masakyan. I'll give it a month and see if it grows on me.

But I'm really excited about "The Weakest Link".

Like what The Rock said, Who Wants to be a Millionaire started kicking the collective a$$es of their worthless and formulaic shows so they had to come up with this bullsh*t show. And also, like what the others said, medyo TH sila.

I don't give a damn if they crossed Who Wants to be a Millionaire with The Weakest Link then added some of their ideas to make the show appeal to the masses, but phuleeeeeeezzzee, do they also REALLY HAVE TO RIPOFF Anne Robinson's WARDROBE!?

Ang show, medyo naguguluhan ako sa systema nila at puro sila silang artista ng ABS din naman ang kasali. At naku, sobrang hirap ata makuha yung 6 letter combination na yun kung pwede rin pala paulit ulit ang letters. Daan daang libong possible combinations iyon ha. Swertihan na lang talaga. ABS at Globe lang ang makikinabang dito.

Dapat kung hindi nakuha yung prize money for this game ay idagdag ang prize money sa susunod na game. Eh hinde, bilang consolation ay nagbigay lang sila ng P10,000 para lang sa isang lucky text partner.

4. kris aquino should tone down her voice. notice how she yells. tama kayo mas excitable pa siya kesa mga guests niya. dapat mag-pacing siya: she is gonna do this 5(?) times a week and if she doesn't tone it down mamamaos siya. saka pag nasanay ang audience sa sobrang enthusiastic-yelling style niya, hahanap-hanapin nila ito. so dapat: di niya na hayaan masanay sila

1. The only plus I see for the show is the set, which really looks good. This, of course, should translate to good production values.

2. Kris Aquino needs to adjust to the game show genre. She sounds quite stiff, often too excited, and she reads the questions as if they were elocution pieces. She needs to relax and be a little more natural. The show doesn't need a debater reading the questions. (Sidetrack: Bakit siya pa ang kinuha na host? Sana si Roderick Paulate na lang; it's high time he should be given a game show anyway, tapos retain na lang ang Kris And Tell. Derecho na sana ang hold ng ABS-CBN on primetime, from 530 down to midnight.)

3. The game play is simple, but this translates to neither good or bad. If the show is marketed as intellectually challenging, this is a minus. But as a game show per se, it's a plus. The first phase of the show is a simple "Yes or No" round with hardly any brain work needed. The second phase is a "matching type" round, and the clues are really giveaways, plus the fact that the choices are right there, straight from the screen. The only intellectual round seems to be that round where the questions are centered around a keyword.

4. In addition, the game takes too long to finish. It took two days for Julia Clarete to advance, and God knows how long they'll be able to finish digging out that possible six-letter combination. And that's just for the first game. It's too, too dragging.

5. I agree with fenn, the "lucky textpartner" really has a slim chance of winning. I mean, with nine different letters possible, this translates to 531,441 possible combinations. Para ka na ring nagdraw galing sa tambiolo, so pwedeng maglakip ka na lang ng proof of purchase kasama ng pangalan, address, at signature mo? Add to this the fact that texting your choice translates to a purchase of an "exclusive ABS-CBN program icon," and can you spell moneymaking venture???

6. Meron pa palang isang plus. I like the rounds where you can win showcases and the like. Minus lang nga kung puro celebrities lang pala ang maglalaro. Paano na ang masa? Do they still have to pick out that pesky winning combination out of 531,441 possibilities? God, and how many texters actually want that Tabing Ilog icon on their phones?

She was awful as a game show host. She should stick to a Kris and Tell type. And as for intellectually stimulating, it took a surprisingly short amount time for everyone to be eliminated in the first round (now what that does tell you?).

Sobrang bagal ng show. Dapat bilis bilisan ang pag reveal ng letters. Naku maiinip ang audience nyan. Bibitinin ka pa eh sigurado namang walang makakakuha ng 6 letter combination.

Isa pang nakakainis ay ang paulit ulit na tanong ni Kris sa audience. "Buong Pilipinas, Game ka na Ba? " At sasagot naman ang audience with matching pataas ng kamay ng," Game NA!" Ay naku siguro more than 10 times nya ata ito tinanong. Naku obvious naman na yan ang title ng game show. Hwag nang paulit ulitin.

game ka na ba is a copycat of who wants to be a millionaire and the weakest link. i saw the one where this julia actress cried and apologizing to this girl.... i didnt get that...yaya ba niya yung girl?
basta, ang dami nilang gustong gawin sa show nila na nalilito ang mga manonood. at sobrang bawi rin sila sa mga piso kada text ng mga audience (kung marami ngang nag te-text)...basta nakakalito siya.
and to kris, i like her but not on this show. tip lang sa kanya...pls try to consult a voice coach. u are exerting too much effort on voice projection that ur vocal chords are taking the brunt of it. wawa ka naman. there's a proper way to do it...ask those who are into stage performing. im sure they know.

Confused na tuloy ang audience regarding ano ba talaga ang gusto nilang palabasin?

Parang walang identity 'yung show dahil parang 'eat all you can' buffet table na pinaghalo-halo ang iba't-ibang elements from other game shows, notably WW2BAM and The Weakest Link.

My initial thoughts on the show:

It's not as bad as I perceived it to be when I saw the two full-page ads on the newspapers last Sunday. I felt that the "celebrity" factor of the show is not innovative. Imagine, these people have already been earning thousands and thousands of bucks and yet they still got the chance to win more in the show.

However, as I watched the first game, the concept somehow sink in slowly. ABS-CBN will not be known as the "Star Network" for any other reason. It tends to give us a glimpse of how the celebrities we love to watch react to the kind of situation we all could be in. The game of Julia Clarete is a proof to that.

I hope that in the succeeding games, they'll be able to get the big-name stars of the network to play.

The set was well-designed, though I think the audience should be given a wider space. Kris Aquino as the host of the program is just as perfect for me. Imagine Martin Nievera shouting "Game Ka na ba?"? He should straighten out his Tagalog accent first. As with Kris' voice, I think it's one of the main factor that could make the show, or any other show that we could hear her voice, exciting and truly engaging. The sincerity of Kris as a host can be seen through her voice and her over-all participation in the program. We didn't like her either in "Today with Kris Aquino" when she started, did we? But we have grown to love her, her squeaky voice and pa-sosyal approach in interviewing. I would choose her over Christopher de Leon who is always self-conscious with the way his necktie look. I would choose Kris who is honest (or you may want to call that, taklesa) rather than being sarcastic as with de Leon when a contestant cannot answer a very simple question.

Over-all, I think we should give the show a fair chance to grow and develop. WW2BAM was not a success overnight. It was an uphill battle for the show which almost saw the ax when it entered the second season, because by then, it has not lived up to the expectations of its producers. WW2BAM's ratings started to perk up only when an educator from de La Salle hit the 1-million mark. The producers should give credit to that woman for bringing in the excitement that WW2BAM has now been known for. But for how long can they get a woman like that? How long can they get someone who could possibly sit in for the 1 million or the 2 million pesos?

Game Ka Na Ba?, I guess, will showcase, the best and the worst of what we Filipino can offer, and both the performance of Kris Aquino and the celebrity contestants will determine where it will go. Winning as a text partner may be difficult, but still, it gives a fair chance for everyone to win. I still can't grasp the fact that seemingly, in ever edition of WW2BAM, there are "repeaters". Now that's totally doubtful on my part. Does it mean there are less people who joins WW2BAM, that's why these "repeaters" easily slips to join the game?

At least, Game Ka Na BA? is not a clear carbon-copy of any foreign game show, and has a host who has the capability to develop and adapt to what the show really calls for.

and for ww2bam, d reason why u see certain people na laging sumasali because they really want to win....and ang pagsali dun is thru phone...u answer the questions first dun sa phone bago ka maging studio contestant...

and the chance of winning sa game k n b is really of the highest probability...like hello!!! 6 letter combination....labo ng laro...

kris should try to mellow her voice, or at least make it sound calm and convincing....hinihila nya pa ang mga contestant kung saan pupunta. e taped naman un, di ba sila naturuan?

i saw the episode with Julia Clarete...

the show was too emotional...i mean, its a freakin' game show...it's not Kris and Tell anymore where people just randomly cry...i know that what Julia did was right, pero it's just not fitting of a game show...the segment where they showed the yaya and all kinda put Julia in a weird situation...pinakita pa talaga na the yaya took care of her and all...parang emotional blackmail since Julia won't really have a choice but to go on for her "nanay's" sake...and when she didn't, mas naging iyakan ang show...that's unfair!

ok yung set but the graphics suck! parang powerpoint presentation lang yung mga lumalabas sa screen...

and the text partner thing? they'll probably not have a winner even after a year (if it lasts that long!)...i suggest a reformatting of the show and the game play...Kris should stick to talk-shows...she's reading her cue cards like crazy!

The entire show is a freaking rip-off of two game shows: The Weakest Link and Who Wants to be a Millionaire! Even Kris Aquino's wardrobe is a rip-off of (U.S. The Weakest Link) Ann Robinson's wardrobe The set is a rip-off with all their lighting and the placement of the audience in front of the cameras. Please get your facts straight.

ABS-CBN realized that "Millionaire" was ripping them in the ratings, clearly eating into their b.s. formulaic soap operas and worthless sitcoms that the only alternative they could come up with is a tried and tested ABS-CBN trait: copy somebody else.:grrr: The fact that they got the perenially annoying and over-acting Kris Aquino only adds to the cheapness and the pathetic nature of this rip-off. And anong "we have grown to love her, her squeaky voice and pa-sosyal approach in interviewing"? She continues to annoy The Rock as well as a significant segment of the population to this day.:grrr: She is still over-acting and she is still overrated as a host, an interviewer, and celebrity.

So they want people to text in their answers? What, the think their target audience (supposedly the "masa" will go up and buy a celphone just to participate in their show?:mconfused: Give The Rock a break.

The b.s. that ABS-CBN perpetuates is sickening. Plus, they wouldn't know the concept of originality if it came up and bit them in the a$s.:furious:

Hay naku. Hindi talaga maiiwasan ang pagkataklesa ni Kris. Sana naman maging mahinahon lamang siya sa pagho-host. Nagmumukha siyang katawa-tawa eh.

Maganda ang set ng Game Ka Na Ba?. Malaki din ang prizes na mapapanalunan dito. Compared sa Who Wants To Be A Millionaire, ang pinakamababang prize dito ay exactly P100,000. Unlike sa WW2BAM, P1,000 ang lowest. 'Yung makakatapat mo sa face-off challenge na natalo ay tatanggap ng P1,000.

Ang hindi ko lang alam ay kung papaano magiging studio contestant. Thru text din ba para maging contestant ka?

nakowwww! napanood ko ibang parts nung show tonight. yuckkk :p ano bang kakornihan yon. mismash na nga mula sa kun saan saang game show tapos meron pang mini-feature dun sa driver ni julius babao (beneficiary nung mapapanalunang prize ni julius). para kang nanood ng gameshow at oprah at kapwa ko mahal ko all in one... anunabayon. :lol:

pero napansin niyo ba bawas na ang tili ni kris a... nung lunes lahat ng sentence niya punctuated by a screech eh. kanina hinde na mas straightforward na. siguro namamaos na siya. sabi ko na at hinde niya masu-sustain ang ganyang style ng hosting eh.

hinde pa rin exciting ang show. madrama lang. oh well. hindi ata tayo ang target audience nito. sa masa siguro papatok kasi may game na, may iyakan pa. halo halo: just like the show.

tungkol dun sa iyong stars ang naglalaro: :p EVERYONE should get to play not just the stars/actors/actresses/singer/celebrities. ang attraction ng game shows sa Pinas eh ang chance na magkamal ng instant money----the bigger the better. baka naman this week lang maglalaro ang mga stars: para makakuha ng audience. malay natin next week eh regular folks nalang.

Trying hard talaga ang channel 2. Walang originality. Kahit kailan trend follower lang sya, never a trend setter.

Tumiklop sila sa Marimar. Kaya ang ginawa gumaya at kumuha ng ibang soap galing Mexico o kung saan man. Sumikat nga ang Pera o Bayong nila pero kuhang kuha naman sa Kuwarto o Kahon. Ginaya ang Eezy Dancing ng ABC. Nagclick ang Bubble Gang ng 7 kaya tinapatan ng Super Laf In. Di naman nag klik.

Tapos ngayong sikat na sikat ang ww2bam ginaya nanaman nila. Dinadaan lang naman nila sa laki ng premyo pero kung titignan, ang gulo gulo ng format nila. HIndi na lang nila magaya ang "Is that your final answer?" at mga lifelines dahil talagang magmumukha na silang kahiyahiya. Ang sakit pa sa tenga ng boses ni Kris. Pagdating talaga sa originality at creativity, zero ang channel 2. Ano pa kaya ang susunod na gagayahin ng channel 2?

pero napansin niyo ba bawas na ang tili ni kris a... nung lunes lahat ng sentence niya punctuated by a screech eh. kanina hinde na mas straightforward na. siguro namamaos na siya. sabi ko na at hinde niya masu-sustain ang ganyang style ng hosting eh.

i noticed that too.. her voice was hoarse & parang hirap siya magsalita.

ewan ko ba, the overall impression i got of the show was that i couldn't take watching the whole 30 minutes of the show. ok lang panoorin yung elimination round, coz it's more fast paced but the latter part is dragging, the way they repeat the winning letters for the texters. :ayaw:

in fairness na din dito sa game na to, i read in a magazine that The Weakest Link has a lot of different versions in different countries, i.e., Japan, Hongkong, Spain and one sa Europe.

Pero, ang hindi ko ma-take eh nung sinabi ni Kris sa The Buzz na this show is an original concept by a filipino for the filipino (or something to that effect). Hello??? Buti pa yung Who Wants To Be A Millionaire, eh admittedly a pinoy version, tas eto clinaim na original daw?

Tas pati yung coat niya, come on now!!! Sobrang wa originality na talaga eh. :grrr:

It stretches my understanding of the human psyche why anybody would find Kris Aquino's hosting skills satisfactory. Her voice is anything BUT engaging--it's plain irritating! About the "sincerity" of Kris...huh?! Since when do we need sincerity to host a game show?! I really, "honestly" don't get the connek...

Frankly, I have not seen the show except for the snippet of the crayola incident with Julia, it just so happened that I stepped out of the bedroom and naki-nood lang ako sa mga maids...when I got back to the bed room, I switched it over to abs and started to watch the show, it was then that they were doing some kind of mutated "memory game" thing with those celebrities with letters behind them...the energy and excitement level was sooo high, the host, the celebrity contestants, the host, the live audience, did I mention the host already, were all sooo excited....everyone was excited EXCEPT...me, the TV audience. Kris was just moving around asking all the celebrities what they'd do if they won the jackpot...shish, they were like 15 celebrities, am I supposed to pee in my pants with excitement from their answers?! I don't know about you but, I think the whole concept of a game show is for audiences at home to get all caught up and excited in the GAME...a game show has to be simple, exciting, "relateable" and innovative, and at the very least, a game show should NOT have Kris Aquino as host...

I really don't get these networks, we have pretenders like Boyet and Kris hosting TV game shows...ano ba!?!?!?!? Wala na bang ibang mapagpilian?!? Aghghgh, think about it, I bet you, everyone reading this post at this very moment has a friend or met someone back in college who can host these two game shows with ease and aplomb, baket ba panay Kris Aquino?!??! Ano ba?!??!??!?!??!?

I'm writing to express my (and my friends') view on Kris Aquino's new game show "Game ka na Ba?". The game show piqued my
curiousity because she wrote in her column that "This is the only 100 percent original, 100 percent Filipino-conceptualized game show on prime time television." I beg to disagree! Allow me to point out obvious reasons why Kris' claim of "original concept" is not so very true: (nakipanood pa naman ako sa TFC ng kaibigan ko na 15 miles ang layo sa bahay namin) :angry:

* her outfit is soooo Anne Robinson of the US game show "Weakest Link" (she just wears diff. colors of trench coats)

* most aspect of the show (at least up to the point where we managed to keep our eyes glued on her show - up to the round where contestant Bayani won P100,000) is a poor copy cat of "Weakest Link" - from the concept, to sound effects, to how the reward money increments, and yes, the show host

* Anne Robinson does not shout her lungs out though unlike Kris. Ms Robinson is composed and dignified, Kris is shouting at the top of her lungs, her voice's screeching (parang pinupunit na yero) and competing with the blasting of the sound effects

* and the QUESTIONS? geez, the questions are insult to Filipino's intelligence (example: head over "blank", clue: part of the body)..
goodness! Another one: "blank" to cry on.. tsk! tsk!

* Kris is very partisant as a host. She was practically shouting and cheering and jumping everytime Bayani gets a correct answer over Herbert Bautista. That should not be the case as she tends to intimidate the other
contestant with her OA reactions.

* Our over-all assessment of the game show: VERY TRYING HARD!

Maybe Kris should avoid using terms like "creative genius" and "Filipino ingenuity and creativity" when discussing her show. She should know better, she writes a column and therefore she should have checked facts first before she write statements like these.

Anyway the main point of this email is to correct the notion that her game show is "original". Sorry but it's not. I wish her best of luck also, she's not cut out to be a game show host. :verymad:

to be honest, the game show wasnt that good and the questions were not that stimulating... grbe, kaduda-duda pa nga na yung ibang mga contestants don e di talaga lam yung sagot... e.g. Mike Cohen (who formerly worked for CNN) got it wrong when they were asked :"ang spider ay isang insect-yes or no" grbe, *** ata grade 6 alam yon, pero parang inconceivbl na namali sya by honest virtue... :glee:

plus, sobrang labo ng mechanics... maintindhan m man yung rules of d game, discouraged ka na agad sumali sa sobrang hirap manalo...haaay.. pinagyabang pa nila na 100% filipino conceivd ang game show na yan...

yak! nakakairita talaga ang channel 2....gaya gaya hay naku. they are so pathetic. ako, natatawa na lang ako kung paano patulan nila kung ano sa tingin nila ang in. people probably were so tired of seeing soaps and lousy acti so they opted for a more intellectually challenging quiz show. now that game shows saturate the airwaves....people will be lookin for a dumb@$$ show to feast on...sumthin dumber than mushy and badly acted soaps. yaaaaaaaaaawn!!!!!!!

It's a show for the stars or so it seems. Kris cannot be a host for a gameshow. She's making it too much of a controversy. With the laugh and the nasal voice what can you expect?

there's much to say but it's all been mentioned, & i share the opinion of everyone else..this show is the epitome of pathetic! i hope it improves in time, but the chances of that happening look rather slim. Kris should've stayed a talk show host, i actually liked watchin her then.

Hmm, I can't really get the gist of the game show. I agree with what most of the pexers posted, OA si Kris mashado mag-host. May napansin lang ako, ginawa na nilang isa na lang yung pipiliing combination ek-ek, para naman kasing talagang chamba lang kung manalo ka dun. IMO, yung pinagsasabi ng GAME K N B na they're the # 1, is far from truth. Oh well, whatever floats their boat.

uhm, I don't like Game K N B. I watch it pag commercial sa WWTBAM or WL. that's all. I got the gist of what the show tries to be naman e. And yes, it basically rips off most other game shows from set design to the host's "costume." And like what some of the people here said....I don't watch it anymore kasi nakakairita talaga si Kris and the whole concept of the show. Nonetheless, I can't help but glimpse at what it has to offer (hoping na may bagong idagdag ang ABS to make the show a bit mor original or entertaining even kasi you tend to expect some quality from a big corporation such as ABS), but wala pa rin. I'm still hoping ABS figures out why most PExers here hate the show and does something about it.

mytyragirl, Thanks. :) Kahit ako nagtataka kung panong naging B ang sagot. Feeling ko rin, pati si Kris natigilan nun, pero baka guni-guni ko lang yon. Of course, I might be wrong--napadaan nga lang ako non sa Ch2 eh, nung marinig ko yon.

Sensya na sa iba kung sa palagay nila eh walang kwenta yung obserbasyon kong yun, pero ang sa kin lang eh dapat pinag-aaralan ng mga game shows na yan (hindi lang Game KNB) yung mga tanong na ibibigay nila. Kung ganyan din lang...eh manonood na lang ako ng Hula Bira sa MTB. :D

Alam nyo, kung masaya kayo sa show, eh di good. Kung ayaw nyo sa show, eh di good din. Huwag ninyong ipagdiinan sa mga mukha ng ibang tao yung opinyon niyo, at huwag niyo rin ipagdiinan sa mga mukha nila na mali sila o na di kayo sumasang-ayon sa mga opinyon nila. Konting respeto lang sa mga taong nandito, pwede?

I think we're all mature and intelligent enough to know what respecting each other's opinion means, so please, if you do claim to have that maturity and intellect, then show it. Let's have that kind of discussion here.

Gusto ko lang malaman kung tama ba ang hinala ko na there's something wrong with the question. The contestant (if I remember correctly) answered "A" pero the correct answer daw is "B." Hindi ba Rizal got that line from Christ (from the Bible shempre)?

Ako din, I thought, Jesus was the answer. Pahiya pa tuloy ako ang lakas pa naman kasi ng boses ko ng pagkasagot ko ng A.

kasi mapapansin daw dun na halos dinaya daw ang isang taga-plm
i dunno kasi i heard from a professor na sabi'y dinaya sila ng show na yun kasi sa show..nanalo daw ang taga-plm na yun tapos biglang sabi daw ulitin!!!!!
kaya ending..nanalo daw..ARTISTA!!!!

ginagaya talaga ni Kris si Anne Robinson, the host of the British and US versions of THe Weakest LInk...only that mas bagay kay Anne ang trenchcoat, especially in black, kc she exhibits a dominatrix-angry mother style of hosting, which is way crueler than what we see on Edu.

ABS, being the copycat that they are, ginaya sya ngayon, kaya sa bawat episode ng GAME K N B, laging naka-trenchcoat din ***!! hindi ba, there are times na medyo *****y rin ang hosting ni Tetay (in the first few episodes, i don't know ngayon!), just like Anne!!!

these are just some of the few points kaya i personally don't like GAME K N B, but then again, it's just me!!

I've watched the episode last night. Akala ko matatalo 'yung contestant. Masyado siyang tense papaano first 2 questions hindi niya nasagot, na-sweep naman niya 'yung remaining questions. At ngayon tumuloy siya sa jackpot round na P1,000,000. Itutuloy sa Monday.

Makuha kaya niya? Goodluck na lang.

There are 15 studio players who successfully passed the premium phone line auditions. Sa elimination round, there are 5 questions to be answered with a yes or a no. The 1st 2 players who got only the correct answer will be competing for the face off round. If ever na dumating sa 5th question at more than 2 ang may tamang sagot, the first 2 players that got it fast are the face off round players. Sa face off round, may mga questions na nandodoon na rin sa computer ang sagot. All you have to do is to press the buzzer 1st and answer the categorized question. The 1st player na maka-5 correct answers ang magwawagi ng P100,000 and will surely compete for the showcase round. Sa showcase round, may mga category na iyong pagpipilian. You need to answer 3 out of those 5 questions. There are 4 choices here. If so, mapapasaiyo ang showcase, may P100,000 ka pa. Next step is for the P300,000 round. You need to answer 3 out of those 5 questions, with 3 choices na lang. Kapag nasagot mo ang lahat, you'll now have P300,000 plus the showcase itself. If you lose, babalik ka sa P100,000 at mawawala na ang showcase. The next step is for P500,000. You need also to answer 3 out of those 5 questions, with only 2 choices. If ever na masagot mo ang 3 questions nang tama, you will bring the P500,000 prize with the showcase. The last step is for the P1,000,000 jackpot round. There is a question na based sa ni-fill up mong form before joing the show. But then, there will be no choices. Malaking risks na ang involved dito. Once you knew na you're not sure, maaari pang tawaran ng host ang P1,000,000. It's up to you if you will get that money or you'll just continue trying your luck. Pansin ko lang, medyo challenging na ang mga questions nila. Sa SHOWCASE round pa lang, marami na sa mga players ang hindi nakakasagot ng 3 out of 5 questions correctly.

For one week, puro Php 100,000 lang ang naipamimigay nila, tapos laging Php 20,000 ang consolation sa mga text partners dahil walang tumatama sa winning six letter combination.

Anyway, grabe, me Ringing Tone lang naman ako ng GAME K N B, cool pakinggan.

and yes, I am also one of Kris Aquino's fans. i hate her then but i love her now :evil_lol:

and i find the show more exciting kasi nagte-text na rin ako every week :glee:

i think the reason for its being one of the most popular game shows nowadays is that everybody can participate, not merely as viewers but also as game contestants coz almost everyone are looking forward if their letter combination has been picked or not.

Sa totoo nyan eh hindi naman P1 million ang makukuha nyang Mon na yan eh. Kakaltasin pa yan ng mukhang perang ABS-CBN! Besides, sa mga nangangarap maging text partners eh bakit kayo magsasayang ng P12.50 ng load nyo? Nah, I have better thigs to do with my P12.50 on my load!

kasi ang weakest link and who wants to be a millionnaire tax free!! so walang ibabawas..

So Boy_Tumador hit the nail right on its head. Pero it doesn't mean na hindi nagbabayad ng taxes ang Millionaire at The Weakest Link. It's just that wala silang binabawas sa winnings ng nananalo, and he/she gets the prize as howe he/she won it. At least per day, ang naipapamigay nila more or less ay P200,000. Kahit hindi pa man manalo ng showcase ang studio contestant at walang manalong text partner. P80,000 (winner) + P8,000 (face-off loser) + P18,000 (special winner).

Tapos kung may makakaabot pa ng jackpot round, P800,000 (winner) + P8,000 (face-off loser) + 800,000 (text partner) + showcase. Eh di humigit kumulang dalawang milyon din.

Sana sa ibang game show ganyan din ang premyo. At 'yung click sa bayan. Magmula sa Class A, B, C, D and E citizens. Hindi 'yung mga feeling pa conio na elitista pero mas JOLOGS pa sa low profile citizens.

Kasi gusto nilang makatulong sa contestant. At kung makita nilang matalino ka kasi, talagang ie-encourage kang tumuloy sa 1 million pesos jackpot.

tapos one time, ang isang respected shows at shows (OFF the record with Randy David at Katrina lagarda) did an episode which tackled game shows. di ko napanood ng buo . but narinig kong ***** ni legarda na ang game k n b? is the only shows registered with SEC. Nagtabang na ako sa Game KNB since celebrity week. The questions for the celebrities were so easy it's so stupid. The regular contestants should complain about their questions. Bakit si Richard Gomez , Zsa Zsa and Sharon ang dali ng questions and then they ask all this hard questions now.

Yong mga celebrities na nananalo, wag kayong maniwala kasi ang Game Ka Na Ba is always pre-recorded. It's not live. Like almost a month pa before the airing of an episode. Before magsimula ang program, ibinibigay na sa celebrity yong mga answers kaya alam na nila. Pag meron silang gustong papanalunin, madali lang. Wag magagalit kasi yong brother ko pa mismo na nagtatrabaho sa ABS-CBN ang nagsabi nito sa akin. Nasa Finance sya kaya alam nya ang ins and outs ng finances ng ABS. From the salaries, paid advertisements, prizes, taxes and even inventories.

Off-topic: About MTB games, ganon din, me kotong din sa mananalo. Ang mananalo e yong mag-aagree na kotongan sila. It doesn't matter kung anong game portion ng MTB. Mismong sister-in-law ko naman ang nakaalam nito dahil sumali sya once.

I think I know what you are talking about. I remember that the first millionaire was the one during Kris Aquino's birthday. Kaya naman nagkalakas ng loob na umabot sa 1 million yong contestant was because he was assured na hindi mawawala ang showcase nya kahit matalo sya. I was like "that was unfair!!!". Papano naman yong mga nakaraang contestants na hindi pinalad na matapat sa birthday ni Kris Aquino???

And about their showcase, it's not really a giveaway kasi parang masama ang loob na magbigay. Biro mo, ibinigay mo na pero pwede mo pa ring bawiin kapag nagkamali ng sagot yong contestant. Tulong ba yon? Parang me lastiko.
