DOS diehard ako pero mas diehard ka pala. I still use DOS everyday like I would rather do a copy *.* c: than highlight, drag and drop icons. As for applications, we have to let go of those old applications and shift to the newer ones. If you have a slower machine, use those older GUI apps. I still have some old DOS programs running in client sites and I am not inclined to change them as they're so reliable. OK, DOS still has its place but you have to know where and if you're into it only now, it's a hardsell.

While we're at it... can we go back to 8-bit processors, segmented addressing, manual IRQ/port/DMA assignment, 320 x 200 x 2-bit palettes, FAT-12, TSRs, 640 Kb and 5 1/4" floppy disks? :wiseguy:

If you don't need the fancy GUI, why use it? For instance, do you really need a Graphical PING utility? How about checking the routing table on your Windoze PC? If you do not have any need for it, don't use it.
