Would it be 10% for above average performance? 15% for superior performance? Do you give merit increase to those who got only an Average rating?

This year (and projected for next year), what was/will be your average (ave. of all employees with various rating) merit increase?

Any company who will not give any merit increase due to recent Emergency Cost of Aliving Allowance of P30? Please note this is not an increase in the minimum wage.

We rank the performance evaluations of all the employees. Top 10% gets an increase equivalent to double the inflation rate. Next 30% gets 1.5x the inflation rate. Next 40% gets the inflation rate. Bottom 20% gets no increase for the year.

Is this done on a yearly basis? Sorry for asking, I've been working for less than a year so far. :)

Different companies have different practices. Ours give an annual merit increase because our employees are appraised annually. Of course it doesn't follow that if you get appraised, you will definitely get an increase. It depends on your performance appraisal rating.

Some companies even do it quarterly, I mean the performance appraisals, but I guess most companies consider giving only annual merit increases. I guess too that considering the recent wage increase (mandated by the government for minimum wage earners), some companies will not even be giving this annual increase, but would only follow government-mandated increases.
