Sky Cable really sucks! I haven't had an opportunity to try out Home Cable yet, but if I can get more (not to mention better) channels at nearly half the price, then I would have to say that Home Cable is the runaway better cable company. But if I really had the chance to choose, I'd go for Destiny.

one reason to avoid sky: their <;bleep>;ing singit advertisments!! you know, there you are watching cartoon network or CNN, all of a sudden a really REALLY corny and IMO unnecessary ad on some rotting outdated promo (name drop and shop again?! just how many times have they been doing this?) literally chops in at a point where a more tolerable and even more informative advertisment run by the channel is supposed to take place. imagine...ya could have learned the time slot of a show you've been anticipating, but instead ya end up with the 9,999th sighting of "name drop and shop again."
Here's proof that sky is going down: their "loyalty advantage" or something like that promo, where you get free appliances the longer you subscribe with skycable. Hmm, i wonder why they'd suddenly start giving incentives for sticking with them....?

Skycable is the only cable company with Nickelodeon. Na-bobore na ako with anything other than Nick, Cartoon Network or HBO. Sana Destiny Cable, if it has Nick.

Hellowee! :)
We're a Sky Cable subscriber. Although it claims to be "The Biggest Show on Air" because of its numerous channels, I must admit that I don't enjoy most of it's foreign channels. I even get irritated with one of the Indian channel ... those belly-dancing, high-pitched singers, man-chases-women type of mtv. Frankly, I got disappointed when they scratched out Star Network 'cause I really enjoy the programs there. But I do enjoy the movie channels, Cartoon Network, Nickelodeon plus the new Lifestyle Channel.
Unfortunately, I'm stuck with Sky. The village where I live in doesn't carry any other cable operator, thus forcing me to stick with a more expensive and lower quality cable operator. In Makati, where I stay during weekdays, the building I'm in has been wired by Sky so again, I have no choice. It's so limiting really.
