ok *** ba pagsabayin ang hydroxycut at whey protein? kasi i want to build muscles and at the same time bawasan ang fats sa belly ko..thanks..

right now talagang hidden pa rin yung abs because of layers of fats..i'm hoping maging visible sya na di mawala yung na-gain kong muscle bulk because of taking hydroxycut...

YOu need to focus on one goal primarily since it would take longer to achieve if you try to do both at the same time.

To answer your question, yes you can take both at the same time but clearly state which comes first in terms of goals

i was in you shoes before, anyway i took creatine when i felt that i was not achieving anything. pero bottom line is supplements mean squat if you dont compliment it with a good training program. anyway maganda creatine lalakas and youll lift heavier which in turn would help you build more muscle mass

Thanks sir. just asking for some advice, i have a certain budget in mind, i wanna get the best stack, for whey protein and a fat burner.

Nitro-tech & Ultra-ripped by Ultimate nutrition 90caps
ON Whey Gold standard & Thermorexin 90caps

So now,

Im torn between getting a solid whey/creatine supp (Nitro) and a cheap Synephrine-based fat burner (Ultra Ripped)

OR

One of the best whey supp (ON) with a solid and quite expensive fat burner (Thermorexin)

Watcha think? :D

You're not eating enough... The capacity to eat 3 full meals in one sitting isn't eating enough. You have to eat as much food as possible allthroughout the day.

Just wondering, for those in the corporate world who have 8 to 5 jobs, how do you guys maintain this lifestyle of 5-6 meals a day?

1) Equipment-wise, when you go to the office, usually you bring multiple meals/containers to the office?

2) You either prepare the meals early in the morning or the night before?

3) Monetary-wise, how do you manage your finances for this? It’s pretty expensive to eat 5-6 meals.

4) For all the meals you eat in the office, what are the usual components? For example, every 3pm – apple and 5 egg whites.

5) What are the relatively cheaper sources of quality protein aside from meat, fish, milk and cheese? So far, the only others I could think of are beans and egg whites?

Thank you for the information.

^sagot ko

1) oo nagbabaon ako eggs, chicken breast sa office
2) morning prep since boiled lang naman
3) hindi naman magastos yun e kung nagbabaon ka
4) chicken breast, eggs, wheat bread, peanut butter, peanuts
5) soya, peanuts

1) Yes I bring extra containers but they don't have to be big

2. Depends. But sometimes early morning

3) Monetary-wise, how do you manage your finances for this? It’s pretty expensive to eat 5-6 meals.

its cheaper to make baon than to eat out

it varies. it could be chicken breast and veggies today, next time could be kamote and lean beef

I'll share my thoughts:

1. Any kind/brand. I usually eat whatever is around the house. It should be steamed/roasted without oil. And if you can go for the salt-less type, the better.

2. Yes, but good fat. Peanut butter and peanuts as well are good snack choices if you are bulking and cutting. Stick to the 2 tbsp serving size for the PB and a handful of serving for peanuts though. They are loaded with calories.

3. Erm, lean cuts of beef and pork are expensive. Try mo na lang yung lean ground variant sa supermarkets. They have less fat than the regular thing and a bit cheaper than the lean slabs. Bonleess, skinless chicken breast IMO is still the best protein source price-wise and nutrition-wise. :D

2) Are those peanuts I see in the supermarkets/Eng Bee Tin with the brownish yellow shell still enclosing the peanuts okay? Are there salt-free and oil-free peanuts in the supermarkets?

I prefer liliy's for peanut butter. Don't be too brand conscious

nuts are rich in good, healthy fat. You also need a good amount of fat in your diet regardless of goal

for beef, I prefer the lean tenderloin or prime rib.

1) A handful or two of nuts are enough for a snack.

2) I'm not familiar with the Eng Bee Tin nuts. Alam ko meron sa supermarket ng oil- and salt-free nuts. Try scouring the nuts aisle. Usually they come in simple plastic packaging and always buy in bulk. Peanuts, as long as they are sealed in an airtight, moisture-less container have long shelf life.

3) I never tried buying plain almonds but for the average Juan, they are a bit steep. Go with whatever you can find.

4) Yes. Meron din nun sa meat section sa supermarket.

There are raw peanuts sold on supermarkets that you dont have to crack open the shells and then skin them. you just buy them raw and roast them yourself. That is if you dont want it with salt or msg, just pure roasted nuts.

Promatrix7 multiple source protein --------------- 2k 5lbs.
*infused with an unparalleled protein matrix
*decreases muscle breakdown by 34%
*7 HOURS of sustained-release anti-catabolic formula
*amplified nitrogen retention
*superior protein absorption
*get BIGGER and LARGER while you sleep

Pro Matrix7 vs Just Whey
Whey Protein is quickly absorbed into the blood stream causing an anabolic effect. Yet, the effects of whey are short-lived as the blood amino acid levels of whey only last a short period of time. ProMatrix7 proprietary protein blend contains more of the biologically active protein fractions not found in whey isolates alone and offers a protein combination found to be responsible for short and long-acting anabolic and anti-catabolic properties necessary for proper growth and repair.

Controlled Labs products are getting exposure and very good reviews from bodybuilding.com's forum members.

White flood is a cheaper and "more effective" daw na version of NO-Xplode/SuperPump250 (pre-workout)

Green MAGnitude daw is a cheaper and "more effective" daw na version of Cellmass/SizeOn. (post-workout)

Purple Wrath i think is an Amino Acid/BCAA/EAA intra-workout blend.

I hope somebody knows if its available here, Muscletech and Gaspari products are quite pricey so I wonder how Controlled Labs would be priced here.

@gymrat23 - bro check bb.com forums, kakatawa dun mga pagbash nila sa muscletech products, and they have on sale and review almost any supplement you can think of.

May pinoy thread din hehe :D

Is there a standard time? Let's say having the last meal 2 hours before sleeping.
Just eat every 2.5-3hrs while awake. Then you can sleep anytime. You can lessen carbs on your last meal prior to sleeping

amino acids are the building blocks of protein so they have the same effect as protein

if enrudance is your objective, I'd suggest beta alanine.

from quirino, pag northbound, cash and carry is near buendia

sa hobbies, they're at the end dalawang shop lang may supplements dun

Beta-alanine is different from protein.
Creatine monohydrate, BCAAs and beta-alanine will help you. Free-form BCAAs have different effects compared to whole-protein sources. No other way on that.

I don't know of any side effects yet, but remember, supplements are just to help you. If your training and eating habits aren't in check, you still will not make progress

^^ 5 to 6 small meals a day

since na loading ka, carbo loading and protein loading iaim mo

kahit ano pede mo kainin basta kakain ka ng 5 to 6 meals a day, pero yung hindi bondat meals ha!!

carbo will give you energy to do the exercises, protein will be the ones to supply your muscles the repair charge it needs.

pag nagrepair muscles mo, kelangan niya protein, when it does this, lalaki muscles. simple as that. repeat cycle over and over and over and you get results you need

agree ako dun eating small meals instead of having eating 3 large meals a day... and do not starve yourself... starving yourself makes yourself prone to diabetes later... do not try steroids, it is really bad, really really bad... high fiber na ***.. kasi it makes us full at minimal calories pa.. at matagal pa tayong magutom.. no creatine pls... have your self tested first... masama yan sa kidney... and drink lots of milk (skim) as source of calcium. Calcium is responsible for muscle contraction, and we exercise we use up lots of calcium, and later kung hindi nareplenish yan, prone tayo sa osteoporosis later in life, and mga na below 21 pa jan, wag muna macyadong maggym... babagal ang pagtangkad nyo.... good breathing exercise is enough na nga weh...

sometimes kasi it depends on our schedule.. for me i prefer working out in the morning, its when our body had its complete rest hence fresh na fresh to for a new session... tapos during the day you have the energy to do your daily activities kaya ayun, madaming maacomplish saka syempre ang gabi para dapat sa babydoves natin

kaso yun nga lang our schedule still has to permit it. hehe before i used to work out in the morning and rest at night, but now with my new job, work starts at 8:30 and ends at 5.. so wala nang work out in mornings kasi gagahulin ako sa oras.

Creatine is present in our bodies na, kahit pa sa mga kinakain natin na protein sources (not sure with veges) kaya taking creatine per se in moderation di makakasira sa kidney natin. it may push it hard pero it won't necessarily destroy it. atin lang e know our cares..

thing is, anything in excess is bad.. this case, creatine and protein in excess is bad for kidney and liver, kasi both filters excess and impurities in our body.

ang di ko lang magets sa sinabi niya e yung pag below 21 wag muna magbuhat.. now thats inconsistent kasi there's no such thing.. and its been said to be a myth a gazilion times already.

Just for extra boost i guess..some kind of a plateau blaster...been using my stack for quite sometime now, cycling creatine of course...I just want to know if there is something I can add that can be beneficial for gaining mass and strength.

How about checking your current training and eating plan first?

Supplements are the last thing you should tweak

If you are at a plateau, check your training and eating habits. Try adjusting sleep patterns as well

bring some prepared meals or "baon" like sandwiches that you can munch in your office desk in-between major meals. Surely your uber-hectic work schedule can allow that, right? *okay*

dude, not an excuse. when I was working I was able to eat 3 meals (aside from my breakfast, dinner, post-WO, & before bed). those would be lunch, & the two 15-minute breaks. instead of lounging in the office, talking, or smoking w/ the 'peeps', I eat the hell out of my baon. & I'm talking about rice, veggies & chicken. I got used to it that I was able to down them w/in 10 minutes.

like sir blake & stevecc said, what's your goal? whats your height & weight? maybe we can suggest some foods you can bring w/ you sa office.

BTW, in case you really really really really can't eat coz of your super duper hectic sched, you can just fit all your macro's & calories in 4 meals, yes. pero humanda ka sa sobrang kabusugan nun, depende sa calories na kailangan mo. but we have to know your stats first so we can try to estimate it.

^ I have a vague idea of your built, focus on eating clean and working out really smart, you'll be able to shed the fat wile you slowly build muscle and improve body composition.

You don't need to lessen the carbs, this is the stupid mistake many people make, just eat better versions like brown rice, oats and veggies

Mar 6, 2009, 10:08 AM
^ When you say eating clean...should I do it religiously or can I still have cheat days? I've been eye'ing brown rice in the groceries for quite sometime but is it really that beneficial? I've read in wikepedia that there is very little nutritional difference between brown rice and white rice and they have similar calories, carbs and protein..and it was also mentioned that many types of brown rice contains more fat than white rice.

the glycemic index of brown rice is lower than white rice so it means its slower digesting carbs.

now about cheat days, i prefer cheat meals since they're easier to monitor
