What is the best possible reply you could make to an interview question like this "Tell me something about yourself?". Should I start introducing or giving details about myself or probably my strengths and weaknesses or what?
Just want to know if ever I was ask this kind of question? Thanks in advance...

1. State your nick. ( You are informing the interviewer that you want to be called by that name)
2. Introduce your self, how may siblings do you have, your parents.
3. Your goal, why did you choose that course?
This is just warm up question during an interview.

While this is not a make-or-break question in most interviews, it is an opportunity to stand out. Good interviewers actually do want to get to know you as a person.
This is a golden opportunity to stand out. Don't just give them something to remember you by, give them another reason to hire you.
When asked this question, my response usually includes the fact that I am the 9th child in a family of 10. (Memorable and interesting fact.) Then I add that growing up in that kind of environment taught me how to communicate and manage multiple points of view. (A reason to hire this candidate.)
Hope this helps.
May Angels smile upon you,

Say a little something about your family and work background first like, I'm so and so, eldest in a brood of 4, working as a so and so. (don't drag this too much)
Then say something that you think makes you special. My hubby was asked that question a week ago during a job interview and he actually didn't know what to say. He's a doctor and usually in their profession, they are the ones doing the interrogation. He didn't expect that he would be asked this kind of question.
I told him, you could have said, "I'm a doctor by profession but I am also much into web designing. I actually maintain my own site during my spare time. I like exploring things outside my work, you know."
So you see, as an HR practitioner, I am always amazed by candidates who have initiative to explore other things. It gives me the impression that these candidates can introduce a lot for the company. Kanya-kanyang gimmick yan. Ako nga I practice a lot in front of the mirror and I still get surprised kasi nagva-vary answers ko everytime.:)
