Ibig sabihin pag nag end na *** contract ng emerson sa sykes lhat ng employee ng emerson with them kukunin nila pag nagtayo na sila ng sariili nilang CC... At least d kyo ililipat ng acct. stay kyo with emerson.

I just need your thoughts. I was scheduled for the job offer but had to postpone twice as I was bedridden cause of flue for a week. I got a call from Sykes that the process owner has postponed the job offer. Should I interpret this as nabigay na yung job sa iba? Or does emerson/sykes have a real reason to postpone the offer and that the job is still mine to accept?

AT&T Accounts has a lot of openings, yun nga lang, its highly technical. If you are a Com Sci, ECE, IS, CNE graduate who wants to improve on your Network Management skills like router, T1 circuit connections, VPN, etc. AT&T is the best account for you.

Rigorous nga lang ang exam, but its all worth it. Senior TSR -or- Tech Support Prof ka. Higher than TSR. Watcha say? Apply na.

Well mainly if your a newbie bsta ok comm skills mo carry na yan lalo na pag CSR! Usually your interviewer will check your accent (make sure you practice!)*okay* goodluck!

first question: Comm. skills is everything if you have that any CC or BPO will hire you handsdown!

2nd: Salary ranges from 12-15 k. for newbies w/o perks (i dunno bout part time though prolly mas mababa!)

3rd: This question is funny! Well... it's really up to you but you can go either way...

4th: 9 hours (actually its 8 *** kso that includes lunch and some breaks na rin.)

5th: if your a student then yes you can...

6th: everheard of jobstreet and newspaper classified ads? check out there websites...

hmmm... lahat naman ng account may kanya kanyang issue pero depende na lang sa officers na nag hhandle nito kung paano palalakarin un team as one dito sa amin may mga issue pero dahil open communication naman un management sa mga agent naayos un mga issue. Ang alam ko un iba nag re-resign kasi malakas ang hatak ng Verizon if you're with ATT managed svcs advantage un working experience mo dito kaya un ibang agent nag si lipatan at un mga naiwan nag iisip laki kasi ng offer dun. :D

i came from that at&t managed services acct back in 2006. ok naman *** acct kasi di sobrang q'ing ang calls, pero q'ing ang tickets, kasi ticketing system sya. maganda ang training kasi ul learn cisco. pero once alam mo na, ul realize that ur grossly underpaid. even as a regular employee of >= 6 months, ul probably get bet 17-18k basic, and ul realize ang dami mong kasamang nglipatan na sa verizon who are getting >=40k for the same job.

so basically, nagiging training ground ang at&t mrs para makalipat sa verizon.

just recently saw a frendster pic of my old friends who are now in verizon, para lang nilipat ang isang buong team from at&t and nasa verizon silang lahat ngayon.

so etong tip. kung **** mong makapasok ng verizon, apply ka as tsp sa at&t mrs, get about 1 yr experience, sabay apply sa verizon, pasok ka na.

former sykes-at&t TSP here... I came from Managed Internet Service and PremeirSERV acct (Isosceles Project Acct)

been with sykes for almost 2years...

I'm now in verizon business... the first batch consisted mostly of local telco folks (innove, globe, smart, pldt, bayantel etc)... im in the 2nd batch and was 1 of 3 who came from sykes (2 from ATT-MRS acct)

aside from the fact that it's basically the same job description, at least a little bit more technical that what we are used to in sykes, i believe that the training in sykes is more than enough to equip you with the things you need to know....

it's also true that almost everybody from sykes-att is now applying with verizon after the first few techs got in and signed their contract... what can they do? same isht with much better pay (almost 3x what sykes is offering for the network engineer post, what more if you are a specialist or even a senior engr)

what's better is that it's NOT A CALL CENTER... so you are not bound by any call center metrics such as AHT, how long you are avail, no aux breaks, no overbreaks... pure technical troubleshooting... :D

if you came from sykes-att and transferred here... sobra gaan ng workload in terms of volume or number of tickets and calls...

no regrets i went to sykes... i didnt really intend to transfer to another company but what can I do if there is a much better opportunity... :D

To briefly answer your questions:

1. When I was still in Sykes, there were no Part Timers, we did have OJT's, but no part timers.

2. You can't pick your schedules if you are a regular, only exception would be if the account is using this as a performance incentive for the top agents in the account.

3. Basically you need to be computer literate, at least if you are entering a customer service account. For Tech accounts: tcp/ip, basic networking, cisco training. and others.

4. No linggo to sutdy, you just need to know how to converse properly in English. Be able to explain yourself or what you want to convery across properly in English.

Yep..here in Ameriprise, we have different series exams.. like Series 6, 7, 63, i forgot the others, but those licensure exams are for the phone agents,,,sa Back-office, there's no need to take these. . We are located at RS Makati,,, and we only occupied just 1 floor. Konti lang kasi agents dito...nung minsan nagkaroon ng retrenchment pa sa isang buong team ng phones,,pano ba **** wala ng natatanggap na transaction...lahat ginawang online na...kaya ayun...napunta lahat sa Back office ang trabaho... and 1 more thing,,sobrang nagtitipid na ang account na to...ewan ko...pero palugi na ata kase...

napaka lungkot naman ng balita if ever....lets face it...qwest is not the best technical account in sykes lalo na ng pumasok ang accenture...grabeee...yung q4b or qwest for the best lagi na lang binabago ang metrics halos buwan buwan pag marami ang nakaka meet.....

may bayad yung training. kung magkano yung offer sayo (basic) yun ang pay mo

re hazard pay, if contractual ka eh wala kang hazard pay. if probationary, meron na. basically, you'll have a hazard pay if your shift starts/ends between 10pm-6am.

so if 9:00 pm ang shift mo, may hazard ka pa rin kasi 6am ang end ng shift mo. walang harzard if 9:30pm to 6:30 am ka. gets?

dont worry ull be paid agad on the 30th... but sykes has a cut off... i forgot the dates na e...so whichever dates ang pasok for that cutoff yun lang ang matatanggap mo at months end...

Kung April 21 ang start mo one day *** ang sweldo mo... KAsi april 21 is the last day for the 30th cut-off... So You'll be receiving your pay sa May 15 na talaga...*okay*

grabe naman tong call center na to! oa ang security, daig pa airport.ok naman sa aking iwan yung cellphone sa guard kasi training. pero ito: nung lunch time na at kinukuha ko yung phone ko sa guard, ayaw ibigay, makukuha lang daw at the end of the day! over! nagtrabaho na ko sa call center na bank at di ganito kaOA ng security. to think na di naman financial account ko. At ang mga guard, npakawalang galang - nung 15 minute break, nanggaling ako sa cr, pagbalik ko (kailangan kasi ng guard kasi kailangan ng prox card sa training rm) nagparinig ba naman na dapat daw sabay sabay kami pagbalik para di sya pabalik balik sa pag uunlock ng door. Hello? anu 'to, military boot camp? kasalanan ba namin kung ala pa kaming prox card.
