nag apply me sa sykes recently lang, nagapply una sa sa 26th floor kami pinapunta ng guard sa baba tapos sa pinapapunta naman kami ng 27th floor. tapos initial interview agad, inital pa *** fail na ko. di ko nga lam kung baket eh... dapat pala nitanong ko... tama ba yung pinuntahan ko? kc parang di HR deptartment yun eh, kc ala applicants kai dalwa *** ng bf ko. ang sinabi nya kc " Sorry you dont qualify for this account but ill relay your resume to the HR dept to see if you qualified for other accounts then will give you a call" (parang no hope na ko sa snabi) parang *** account nya *** ba inaaplyan ko??. mali ba napuntahan ko, kc diba dapat sila mageevaluate sken kung anu acccount ako fit.

You know what isa lang masasabi ko don't loose hope ako nga after first exam dsabi nun tibo sa akin "you can go home now 'coz you failed!" That cold o san ka pa pero after a week they called me up to say that they re checked my papers and I did pass and was considered now im here at kpt hehehe malapit ng maregular kewl diba! so eto ako tinalikuran ang offer ng Dell at ang pag hahabol naman ngayon ng siemens 'coz im w/ sykes!

Madali yung entrance test nila. Sisiw compared sa convergys na sobrang 3 out of 20 ang average na pumapasa.

Pero ang mga interview ng Sykes na yata ang pinaka mabangis na processo sa lahat ng company na inapplyan ko.

Exxagg yung interview ko nung isang araw. Tatlo un nag interview sakin sabay sabay Panel silang tatlo. Mga Supervisors lahat.

Para akong bumalik sa Thesis days ko sa college. At grabe ang mga tech leads kung mag interview may pag ka intimidating. 1st of all kung hindi ka bagay sa account nila dapat wag silang mag expect kasi hindi naman ikaw ang pumili ng account nila diba?

Kung ano ano tinatanong sakin na technical hindi naman ako ang pumili ng account nila. Medyo indimidating kasi mag tanong. I was confident enuf pero dami lang tlagng technical questions na hindi ko masagot nagmumukhng ***** ako. Malay ko ba dun sa account nila eh hindi naman ako nag request nun diba? sila nag aassign ng interview eh.

'Lam mo dude grad din ako ng engineering. Electrical Engineering to be specific at yan ang traget kong account pero nandito ko sa ISP account sa Q.C. pero ok lang at least nakapasok na ko hehehe as for my interview experience ok naman isa sa HR tapos kinabukasan sa manager then kinabukasan ulit ayun training na. This is a week before nag exam ako na sinabihan akong "you fail you may go home now" hehehe kahit paano ok na rin masaya e!

Im not sure kung tumatanggap ang sykes ng highschool grad. Usually kasi 2nd year college. But one thing for sure merong mga call center na tumatanggap ng highschool grad as long as qualified yung applicant sa job description. May friend kasi ako friend nag wowork sa call center high school grad lang. Nag umpisa sa 8k ngayon 12K na sweldo. Hindi nga lang ganun ka taas pag high school grad. Meron din ako friend 1st year college lang pero nasa call center na.

my bf is scheduled for medical & job offer tomorrow, he had doubts if kukunin nya kasi pinipilit ng HR na gusto nila sa voice sya because of his previous job at CVG, dun daw sa credit card account na located sa Burgundy along Buendia. its an inbound call naman daw pero they need to up sell and had a target (quota?). is there any other option? or account na pede nya i-request kasi ayaw nya talaga ng aything in regards with sales and target

i had my interview at gilmore. In fairness ang ganda ng office nila dun and i'd rate it as one of the most beautiful working environments in terms of design and furnishing and facilities. Un nga lang walang mga nearby fastfood na open ng nightshifts at wala din yatang canteen. Nabubuhay yata sila sa interview.

Malayo nga lang in my opinion depdende kung san ka nakatira.

Trust me guys... this is true.. If you are considered in the position of Technical Support Engineer, you are given a very high BASIC salary, that doesn't include the other benefits... Another good thing for EMERSON accounts is that you can apply your course (mine is Instrumentation and Control Engineering).... EMERSON accounts are still looking for Engineers who will be given very good pay....

Although merong transpo allowance pag compute ko luge pa rin sa pamasahe compared sa lower paying jobs na offered sakin sa malapit na location sa tirahan ko.

Sayang i had to refuse the offer gusto ko **** sana SYKES. Sana i-consider pa nila ako sa ibang tech account nila sa other locations.

Guys ito lang masasabi ko. Sykes may not be the HIGHEST paying center, but it definitely has one of the best working environments I've ever seen. 2 years na ako sa industry and I've been to 3 centers already, not to mention *** kwento ng mga kasama ko from other centers.
The working environment is VERY nice, the sups and managers are all nice (at least in my account, dito ako sa Kpointe). *** normal na higpit sa attendance, pero reasonable naman sila. Halos walang dispute sa sweldo, maaga pa irelease kasi sobrang high-tech ng payroll system nila. And kung technical account ka, panalo talaga. *** mga nagbabalak mag CCNA dito kayo magapply sa Kpoint, mahahasa talaga kayo sa Cisco router commands. Di masyadong maraming inbound calls, utak ang gagana, di masyado *** bibig nyo. Ang sarap grabeee....
Just an insight for those who don't know what's it like here.
Syanga pala, 20 days VL and 10 days SL (yata), encashable lahat un. Non-taxable allowances, kaya malaki ang net. Pati OT premium mas mataas than others.
Ul have to try it to know it. I LOVE SYKES!!!

As far as I know walang part-time job sa SYKES, unless you consider the OJT's for the IT Department of some accounts... Undergrad? Possible --- especially if you're from another call center.

Im glad I chose Sykes, kasi balita ko sa isang ex-Convergys na ang haba ng queueing sa SBC acct, ihi lang daw ang pahinga. Tapos, end-user ang account nyo. ** sa Sykes, B2B ang account, kaya highly technical and sobrang dami mong matututunan. Plus, the work environment is very relaxed, hindi toxic. Very fulfilling *** trabaho, di sya boring. If you have CCNA training, magagamit mo lalo na dito sa Kpointe.
May Technical Open House this Friday, May 19, from 8AM-5PM sa Kpointe, dala lang kayo ng resume nyo.

10,000 per month is quite enough. some people even have to make do with a basic pay of 10,000 less taxes and whatnots. those who work in banks have even less salary than sykes employees. if you land a job in any call center, be thankful. not everyone who wants to get in actually gets the job. you just have to be practical. di ka naman siguro pupunta ng manila para lumustay lang ng pera. 6,000 for rent and bills? not quite. there are many rooms in makati or pasig area that range from 2500-4000. those are usually inclusive of utilities. as i said, it all boils down to being practical. good luck! *okay*

Hi...Zina also called me wed. afternoon...but i'm going to have my comm. training at etel this coming june 13. she said she'd give me time to think if i want to consider applying for sykes. anyway, this is her no. 6882998 loc. 70183. she said i could call anytime in the morning. i called yesterday around 11 am but no one answered the direct line. maybe she went out for lunch or something. i haven't tried calling her again but maybe later i will. good luck!:)

hi! newly hired ako ng sykes. just want to know info about transpo allowance. sabi kasi sakin nung nag-JO ako, pag land daw GY yun. kasi daytime yung training namin. sabi nya pag daw nag-GY na sched ko, saka pa lang daw idi-discuss yung transpo allowance.

my question is sure ba yun na ganun? kasi kaya ako nag-apply dito sa sykes for that. at least kahit bumaba basic pay ko, labas naman gastos ko dahil sa transpo allowance. pakisagot na lang.

nung monday, twice ako nagkaron ng account interview, ganun talaga pag di ka pumasa dun sa account na yun. bibigyan ka nila sched ng interview for different account naman (ayos nga yun diba? unlike sa ibang company, 1 final interview... do or die na yun)

tapos nung 2nd account interview ko na, yun sabi wait daw ako tawag. tapos nga kinabukasan (tuesday) tumawag na sa cp ko. sched ko for drug test, wednesday yun.

bale nung thursday, walang tawag.

nung friday, tinawagan ako for JO scheduled the same day.

Yes ASCO also have the same standard training as the other acct. for sykes. Im not sure yet though if they also send people to the US for training purposes. Usually it will start with a coreskills training same time will american culture training. After that you will go to your respective accts to get the product specific training. I should know im a trainer as well.

If I were to ask, I rather go for Sykes than to Trend Micro. I have not been employed at Trend yet but you should know these fact. I have alot friends who works there and according to them trend was okay.... That was before when they generously give out Stock options and good renumeration. Today theres no giveaways. If you want to have stocks then you really have to work hard for it and normal package will tie you on a permanent night shift.

Dont really like to discourage you but that is just my two cents worth.

The decision is always yours. =)

Just goes to show that money isn't everything. And disente naman ang benefits and compensation package ng Sykes.

- not sure of your 1st question....i wasn't asked for a drug test when i got hired. maybe someone here can answer this...
- yep...including flexibend ata...
- i think this holds true to some accounts...sa amin hindi...contructual muna, probationary then regularization...you could be extend depending on your perfomarance...like for our account..3 months contructual yung sa job offer befor but mostly nae-extend bec they need at least 3 months na metrics...but since 1 month of your conructual period are used for training, you are extended until your evaluation...good thing i was regularized 4 months after my probationary status...thanks to my team manager *okay*
- salary increase depends on your PMP

My cousin told me that sykes, people support and convergys are the highest paying call center to date. I dont know how true so I would like to ask from the source. Can anyone here please confirm and I hope there would be an honest comparison among the three about pros and cons in working with them. Thanks so much! I bet this would help a lot.

That is not true to all. Though im working here at sykes and dont be mislead that I have something against it.

To correct that, its dell and Siemens are just some of those higher paying CC here in manila if you are to get a tech support acct. If you are to look for a Financial acct. you can also try HSBC and JP they are the better option then comes conv ICT and PS for the CS side.

Hope this answers/clarifies the question floated by Manoroth.

what's wrong with with qwest?! im with qwest now, sa tingin ko mas enjoy ako dito compared with my previous account which is earthlink with another call center.i was dial up before pero dsl na ako now with qwest. di naman siya toxic kasi u have less than 20 calls per day, pinakamadami na yata ang 25 calls.at pag natapat ka pa sa sunday and monday more or less 15 calls ka lang .compared with at&t na mas mataas ang starting and allowance mas mahirap daw ang support dun according to my former teammate..i believe that what we get from qwest is commensurate with our work.like tomorrow 7 am na ako,that means wala ng transpo pero ok lang bawi na lang next time.
i am getting more from my former call center bec may upsell pa dun and since
night shift ako may night diff pero petiks naman ang trabaho ko dito. toxic din siya minsan pero not as toxic as earthlink at based on my experience di masyado ang irate callers. at ang mas enjoy ako i can browse anytime i want
kahit habang nagsusupport ka..nahuli na nga ako ng trainor ko pero deadma lang ako!! yung qa and tl ko nga lagi ako nakikitang browse pero deadma rin, kung sa ibang call center yan IR na ako hahahaa. pero syempre kung gusto mong tumaas , di ka lang browse ng browse you also have to improve your metrics ..pero in my case im just trying to enjoy my stay at qwest or sykes for that matter kaya browse lang ng browse...sooner or later if i will aspire for

Guys ito lang masasabi ko. Sykes may not be the HIGHEST paying center, but it definitely has one of the best working environments I've ever seen. 2 years na ako sa industry and I've been to 3 centers already, not to mention *** kwento ng mga kasama ko from other centers.
The working environment is VERY nice, the sups and managers are all nice (at least in my account, dito ako sa Kpointe). *** normal na higpit sa attendance, pero reasonable naman sila. Halos walang dispute sa sweldo, maaga pa irelease kasi sobrang high-tech ng payroll system nila. And kung technical account ka, panalo talaga. *** mga nagbabalak mag CCNA dito kayo magapply sa Kpoint, mahahasa talaga kayo sa Cisco router commands. Di masyadong maraming inbound calls, utak ang gagana, di masyado *** bibig nyo. Ang sarap grabeee....
Just an insight for those who don't know what's it like here.
Syanga pala, 20 days VL and 10 days SL (yata), encashable lahat un. Non-taxable allowances, kaya malaki ang net. Pati OT premium mas mataas than others.
Ul have to try it to know it. I LOVE SYKES!!!

Yesterday is Sykes recruitment day and I want to try it out since maganda ang feedback sa akin. It was my first time to apply for work in a call center.

I had my initial interview and exams. During the initial interview, the interviewer told me that shes considering me for senior research chuva and for me sobrang ok un. I am confident that I did well in both. After that another interview with the one who interviewed me earlier. The interviewer was concerned that the pay is definitely lower than what I was previously earning. I told her it's ok with me. I just want to work with an industry leader (which is an honest answer) Good sabi nya. Sabi ko din ok lang din ang graveyard shift sa akin. So i guess I answered all her concerns.

But she told me to keep my phone lines open and expect her call within the week. Mejo disappointed ako kasi *** mga ibang kasama ko scheduled for final interview the next day. I dont know if we have the same account.

I caught a glimpse of what she noted in my resume and nakalagay dun Emerson.

Hello, I am from an EMERSON account... the leading company in the world that manufactures anything from our home appliance, to the valves used in Power plants. This is one of my dream companies to work with,and I can asy that I have found my workplace ---- working as a Tech Support Engineer while being in a Call Center.

When they say that they will call you in a week, expect the call within a week or two. They are probably scheduling a phone interview with the client who is miles away from here. Be ready for an impromptu phone interview.

It is true that some agents are paid higher than trainers. That I can say.... :-)

hi everyone! i applied at sykes as a CSR. sykes called me last friday to inform me that i will be signing a contract with them tomorrow (monday). i asked to which account i will be assigned into and the caller told me something about office...cable or something? i was not really sure about what i heard. if anyone here knows about the account, i would appreciate all the info that you could give me...thank you

Hey Sykes guys, i walked-in last monday jul24 at sykes burgundy for a TL post. I was profiled for a technical support program and I'm waiting for them to call me for my final interview. I was told that the final interview will be in ortigas. Any idea what tech support acct is in burgundy?

I know the answers to my questions are somewhere in this thread but I don't exactly have the time to look for it (i.e. I'm just renting.). I'd appreciate it if someone answers the following:

1. What is the general procdure in the recruitment process? Do they generally process applications in a day?
2. How much is the compensation?
3. If my application is successful, could I request to be transferred to a specific site?
4. Are the technical accounts "toxic" in nature?

for walk in applicants
1. a.initial interview (public speaking), if you passed, ask ka nila ng sched for exam (depende yun kung sobrang aga ka dumating sa kanila or late na, pag late na kinabukasan na yun)
b. exam (abstract, english, math, etc.) pag gusto mo technical support, after those exams, may pa-exam pa na pang technical, if you passed.
c. interview with HR peeps again, if you passed
d. interview with POC ng account na pwede ka, if you passed
e. client interview

2. Compensation depends sa JG (job grade) and sa account, pero usually 12K ang starting.

3. i'm not sure about this one, depende sya sa account, kung may ganun account sa ganun site, baka pwede. tsaka sa interview naman tatanungin ka kung pwede ka sa ganitong site o hindi pero i don't think na maganda ang magigimg impression nila pag sinabi na hindi ka pwede baka sabihin nila hindi ka flexible.

4. Sa account ko, toxic yun management, hindi yun account. =)

1. alam ko wala sila non compete clause, di ko alam sa burgundy kasi sa RS ako e.

2. workforce? wala ako alam. alam ko bihira sila tumanggap ng workforce galing sa labas unless na lang na AM ka dun or whatsoever.

3. kung TSR depende sa account mo. hindi po counted yun 6 months na callcenter experience.

Medyo nalilito ako sa recruitment process nila... eto nangyari.

DAY 1: Phone interview
DAY 2: Initial interview at OSMA, I told them I'm applying for a CSR position. Then Final Interview (daw), then bagsak daw ako. Sabi they will forward my application to the HR for recommendations

after a week

DAY 3: They called me up for an exam
DAY 4: Exam. Online. Hindi ko alam kung pasado ako o hindi. Basta nag stay lang kami dun sa room. *** iba pinalabas. Then ni-schedule ako for interview (ulit) sa SYKES Gilmore.

DAY 5: Interview. Then deliberation daw.

Hayyy...

1. So ibig sabihin ba nun, job offer na?
2. During sa Gilmore interview, sabi ko I'm still applying for a CSR. Possible pa ba yun?
3. Can I request if I can work at Makati site?
4. Ano ba yung sa Gilmore? Bat puro lalake ata mga nagwo-work dun.
