Veterinarians or at least vet students--HELP! I dunno if I posted in the right forum but it says "What's Up, Doc?" so whatever... :)
I'd like to find out if it's still okay to spay/neuter an adult female cat even if she has given birth twice already. Also, is it okay to spay/neuter an adult male cat?
I understand that spayings/neuterings are surgical procedures. How much does it cost?
Thanks!
:)

Gosh am I happy to find this thread about animals!
Is there any vet on the house? Just wanted some advice on what I'd do with my dog. He's been ran over 2 weeks ako... and he has wounds on his abdomen anyway its healing now but what i'm worried about is his limp..... from the way I see it he has only 2 legs in good condition, one in front (left) and one at the back (right). Because of this he's always lying down if he could manage to stand he couldn't do it for a long time.
I was wondering if my dog's still going to be able to walk, I miss his kakulitan. I know he wants to run again but his legs fail him. What should I do? If ever his bones were broken is there any cure? Any hope o fhim being able to walk man lang? :( Hopy somebody out there has a good heart ... please, please if any of you guys know a similar situation. kindly reply to this thread. Thanks a lot guys!

why don't you bring him to a vet? does he sometimes howl or whimper (a pretty good sign if he doesn't)? does he lick the affected limbs? it really depends. sometimes, dogs recover from that sort of accident with a simple cast. but to be absolutely certain ask a vet.

HI! I'm not a vet or vet student but I thought I'd post a few things. I have a dog na sakitin so I'm my vet's best customer.
kUkS, if I were you I would have taken my dog to the vet immediately after the accident. It might not look like the dog is hurt badly but baka may bali ang buto. It could also have damage to the organs but you won't know unless your pet's been x-rayed.
About the neutering question, I had my dog neutered when he was 3 yrs old. So I suppose it's okay for cats too. I don't think it matters too much if ur cat's had a litter. Isn't it better? May peace and quiet na sa inyo bec. they won't be in season?

We actually brought him to a vet but all he did was to confine my dog for 2 days and gave him medicines when he was released. I think an x-ray is necessary for this kind case, right? I've consulted another vet, by the way, and I think I'll bring my dog for another checkup. There he's going to be x rayed and finally I'll be able to know if a cast would suffice or a bone pinning would be needed. Hopefully cast na lang para he won't undergo surgery... baka kung ano mangyari sa kanya...
Reykjavik, why do you ask if he licks his limbs? What does that mean? Well, he does lick the wounds so I placed a big collar around the head :D but of course I sometimes take it off I think he's having a hard time lying down with that around his neck.
Thanks a lot for those who replied. And spanish^guitar, thanks for the link I will be checking the site! :)

Oh, that wasn't me. It was shallow . I'm guessing s/he asked that question bec. it's prolly the dog's way of telling you he can feel something wrong with his legs but he doesn't know what it is. Yun lang. :D Hope your dog gets better and next time keep him locked in your yard!!!
