start ako..
i lost 14lbs in 2 months, walang exercise, just this herbal supplement that i'm taking.
i must admit, ang hirap ng 1st week, but after that's its a breeze! and the results are great especially nung 2nd week when i started noticing na lumiliit ang puson and bilbil ko (which is a great problem area for me).
now, i'm used to eating lesser than before because of the supplement kaya easier to maintain my weight.
kayo, how did you do it?

I'VE ALWAYS BEEN AT WAR WITH MY WEIGHT. I WAS SOOOOOO FAT DURING GRADE SCHOOL, THEN I LOST A LOT OF IT JUST BEFORE HIGH SCHOOL 'CAUSE I HAD TO WEAR BRACES -- PARUSA KUMAIN  ALL THROUGHOUT HIGH SCHOOL AND THEN DURING COLLEGE, I WEIGHED FINE AND LOOKED GOOD, ALTHOUGH I NEVER REALLY GOT THIN AND SCULPTED. THEN RIGHT BEFORE GRADUATION FROM COLLEGE, WHEN I WAS MAKING MY THESIS, SHAKS, I LOST SOOOO MUCH WEIGHT NA NAMAN -- THAT WAS UNINTENTIONAL, THOUGH -- LACK OF SLEEP + PRESSURE FROM SCHOOL WORK + STEADY CONSUMPTION OF JUST CIGARETTES AND COFFEE FOR LIKE THREE MONTHS = STICK-THIN FRAME. EVERYONE WAS ASKING ME IF I WAS ON DRUGS OR SOMETHING :D UP UNTIL A YEAR AGO, I WAS STRUGGLING TO GET BACK TO MY HEALTHIER FRAME, FOR MY MOTHER'S PEACE OF MIND. :teehee: SO I ATE, AND ATE, AND ATE SOME MORE. HANGGANG SA SUMOBRA NAMAN -- NOW I'M BACK FIGHTING MY STUPID BATTLE WITH THE BULGE. :D EHE, WHAT'S THAT HERBAL SUPPLEMENT?? :D

Last year, i lost 28 pounds in 7 months. how i did it? jogging & brisk walking 3x/week for 1 hour. no change in food intake. easy lang 'to. the most difficult part is getting started.

i lost 10lbs in around 2 months due to exercise (gym and aerobics). but then, i haven't drastically changed my food intake. kumakain pa rin ako ng sweets and whatever. in moderation nga lang. i guess kung mas kumakain ako ng gulay at bawas ng meat eh mas mabilis ang pagbawas ng weight ko. asar nga lang when i experienced the plateau period...parang ayaw bumaba ng weight...pero i'm past that point now...
right now i lose at least a pound a week. kelangan lang masipag mag-exercise. i guess mas pursigido ka na idisiplina ang sarili mo pag naghihirap ka talaga to lose those pounds...slowly but surely getting there... :D

My bf went from 180 lbs. to 155 lbs. in less than a month. He looked a lot lot better in his current weight.
What he did:
-No snacking, no in-between meals.
-Ate bran, oats, bread, or corn flakes with non-fat milk for breakfast.
-Ate chicken (steamed, grilled, or souped) for lunch
-Ate seafood (steamed, grilled, or souped) for dinner, but dinner is taken at least 5 hours before bedtime.
-Preferred to take the stairs rather than the elevator/escalator whenever possible.
-Walked to and from his commuting place everyday, total walking time in a day's routine amounts to about 30 to 40 minutes. (This is brisk walking and not wimpy slow walks in the park)
-Drank lots of water
Now, he's toning his body by working out at the gym 2 to 3 times a week in order to firm up the once fat-laden flabby skin parts.
And he's making a lot of progress... it was very obvious with how his officemates and our friends reacted to his new image and figure. He went from plump punk to handsome hunk!
I'm so proud of him :*)

i lost 70 lbs through these methods:
- one meal a day
- and in that one meal a day...i eat only a cup of rice...
- i increased my intake of cigarettes...to kill my appetite...
- i do 60 push-ups daily...and a few crunches
- i used to play basketball during my "dieting stage"...to increase my metabolic rate
i dont recommend this method though...it' quite hard...unhealthy and you'll get sick more often...

According to a friend who has lost a considerable amount of weight... wag kang kumain! Kung kaya mo, once in 2 days ka nalang kumain. Walang soft drinks. Sit ups ka mga 100 a day. Ayun, papayat ka within one month.

I've already lost 15 pounds since last November and 5 pounds to go, I'll be in my ideal weight :)
I prefer gradual and maintainable ways to loose weight than those drastic ones mentioned in this page. Some of the things I did:
- work out at least 3 times a week. Cardio activities for 30-45 minutes and some weight training for toning the muscles.
- watch my food intake. although pathetic, i try to count calories and stay within the range for my height, weight and activities.
- don't try to skip meals; this will only lead you to crave for more food
- when you crave for some high calorie food, give in - just try to limit the amount ( i also try to make up by doing say 10 more minutes in the treadmill)
- drink lots of water!
- try to get enough sleep
For me what's important is that it will be something you can maintain, otherwise you'll just loose some weight and then gain it again in the future.
And remember, diet doesn't mean not eating but regulating your food intake. Also remember, you can loose weight AND be healthy at the same time!

Combination of diet and excercise. When you have had a good, hard workout and feel hungry afterwards resist the temptation to eat a lot and just eat a little and drink LOTS of water.

I've lost 55 pounds in around 9 months by eating very healthy foods (mostly fruits, veggies, fish and white meat) and exercising regularly (basketball, mostly).
The only specific diet activity (or, rather, INactivity I have is not eating rice. :)

I'm a rice lover so the first thing I did was to cut my rice intake by half. Half-rice nalang palagi! Sometimes, no rice. :D
I went to the gym faithfully. Or if I missed out on a session, I'd use the stepper at home. As of this year, I've just been using exercise tapes since I have no time for going to the gym anymore. Try Karen Voight tapes and MTV's The Grind workouts. They're so much fun to follow, the hour will swiftly pass by. ;)
I drank a LOT of water. I still do. Keeps me full and hydrated at the same time. :)

The best way to lose weight is to exercise regularly and have some simple rules to guide your diet. Don't say that you're "dieting," since you're gonna have these rules for life...
- Change your habits at home. Don't force yourself to eat just because it's lunchtime. If you're not hungry, dont. Think twice before eating that extra snack or that chocolate bar. "Once on your lips, forever on your hips. You pay for your high with fat on your thighs!"
- Drink lots of water. At least 8 glasses a day.
- Replace cola/softdrinks with diet softdrinks or water. (save 200 calories per drink)
- replace your house's corn oil with a fat-free frying spray. Replace your butter with a fat-free spread, or use cottage cheese/fat free cheese. Fat free mayo instead of real mayo..they're all available locally in the supermarket. If you think its expensive, compare it to how much you'd pay for diet programs. diet pills, or worse, lipo. Besides its better for your health.
- Change your entire household's diet regimen for the better - cook using broiling, baking, steaming, and grilling rather than frying. If you have to fry, use those fat-free sprays like Pam, not oil (frying adds something like 12 grams of fat or more. Imagine 12 grams of extra fat on your waistline). And if your maid feeds solid cholesterol to your family either don't buy luxury foods or change your household help :P
- Don't think of restricting, but everything in moderation except really unhealthy fatty foods. Try eating more fish like salmon, etc. instead of red meat. A lean cut of pork may contain less cholesterol than beef...but fish contains the least bad cholesterol. Chicken and fish - better alternative.
- Try cutting back your pasta and rice intake. For people who scarf a lot of rice and pasta, this is a surefire way of losing weight. If you can't cold turkey on the carbs try replacing them gradually with vegetables and lots of fibre-rich foods. Take half the amount for a week then half of that, etc. until you learn to take pasta and rice as entrees, not a part of /every/ meal. If you don't replace these with stuff like salad, carrots, beans, cabbage, celery, you might get hungry though.
- Keep a journal; weigh yourself once a week and take measurements at the beginning of the week
- Get a lot of aerobic exercise and try walking at least fifteen minutes a day. Tone your muscles and do cardio - you don't need a trainer or a gym to do this, just an exercise mat and a pair of dumbells. I used to take one to two hours off every day to work out, but I got there by doing only five to ten minutes at first.
-Walk and take stairs instead of the elevator. Try walking on errands or walking the dog...
-When shopping wear comfortable walking shoes so you can go around your favorite mall 2 or 3 times instead of once. This is the best calorie-burning activity outside of sports and the gym. Not sex. :P
-Eat fresh food instead of canned or processed food. That means less hotdogs, less sausages, no cakes, cookies, doughnuts. Allow yourself only one sweet treat (like a cake slice or biscotti) a week
PS. There are a lot of bad filipino foods: Chicharon, lechon, pork barbecue, inihaw na baboy.. so going Vietnamese, Japanese, some Mediterranean..might be interesting now and then. The problem with our cuisine is that there's a lot of 'hidden calories" in the way the food's cooked, even vegetables might have been cooked in fat or butter...
I lost nearly fifty pounds, if I can do it anyone can.

Morning: Wheat Bread, EGG WHITES, Fruits, Milk, Juice
Afternoon: Eat Lean Meats, NO RICE,NO BREAD,NO PASTAs,NO POTATOES. Instead, eat salad as a replacement.
Evening: the same as lunch
U need to RUN...it doesn't have to be fast, a moderate pace is ok. Run for at least 15 minutes.
Like Reiko says, drink water at least 8 times a day!
Drink lots of water after you run.

for me, i've been following the zone diet for a little more than a month now. it's helped me lose about 10 pounds so far and i'm still going strong. i follow it more strictly from monday to thursday, try to walk the fine line between not depriving myself and not bingeing on friday, then more or less stick to it on sat and sunday. actually, most of reiko's tips are also guidelines in the zone diet.

check out this site... http://www.theweighwewere.com for success stories of people who have lost weight...
i have been on a "natural" diet and exercise ritual for the past one and a half-months.... i don't know how much weight i have lost because i don't weigh in... i just know that my program is working because my waistline is 3 inches less than it was before and my clothes fit better. maluwang na nga uniform ko sa office.
i eat regular foods but i try to avoid fatty foods and i rarely eat sa mga fast foods now. i don't drink softdrinks but i do drink a lot of water... around 3 liters a day (i have 3 1-Liter bottles na i fill with water tapos i consume that for the day)
i don't indulge in ice cream anymore (i love jamoca pa naman!)... i just each 0% fat Peach flavored yogurt by Nestle, that's only 70 calories
instead of white bread, i eat rye bread or whole wheat bread...
in general... i just eliminated the fatty foods on my diet
as for exercise... i've been wanting to buy a treadmill or a stepper but alas... the kuripot side of me won. i just looked for a wooden box sa house and then i do "stepping" exercises for 20 minutes everyday!
i'd rather take the safer route in losing weight even if takes me a longer time as long as i'm sure that i can keep the weight off... tsaka lifestyle talaga ang nababago ko...
before you can do all those stuff... you have to be committed and motivated well... like, ano ba motivation ninyo sa pagpapayat? naisip ko lang talaga na tuluyang magpapayat when Rico Yan died...
