I posted this thread also in the Sports board but I haven't gotten any responses yet, so I though might as well post it here:
Does anybody know any good sports physicians here in manila? By sports physician I mean someone who's gonna diagnose your problem and offer solutions to help that problem with respect to different sports. thanks!

your question's kinda vague but anyway, if you're referring to sports related injuries maybe you can visit Dr. Celso Bate of the Dept of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation of Medical City.

Hi, sorry if my question's kinda vague, let me make it clearer. The sport isn't the direct cause of the injury but I'm sure it did contribute to it. Now what I need is someone who's gonna recommend what exercises and other things to do (it's a muscle injury) in order to help prevent that injury and strenghthen the muscles involved. That someone should also be able to recommend whether or not it is advisable to take up a particular sport in spite of the injury. I really appreciate your help, thanks!

While Dr. Gar Eufemio is an orthopedic surgeon (and an all-around nice guy), rehabilitation medicine doctors like Drs. Tyrone Reyes and Celso Bate will be of better help in your case.
Misa: Did Gar subspecialize in sports medicine?

Try Dr. Raul Canlas of Sprains & Strains along Alabang Zapote road. (I think he has clinics in other places, too...)

Anyone here who knows a sports doctor? Mas okay kung associated siya sa isang malaking hospital. I was thinking of using my company's HMO para di na ako magbayad.

Good afternoon :). For those who'd like to refer, it's okay to mention your doctor's full name and the hospital they're affiliated with.
We would appreciate it a lot if contact details such as landline numbers, e-mail addresses, etc. are given through private messaging. Thank you.

Hi Guys, just wanna share my experience with Dr. Joie Illescas of UST Hospital...
I had a knee injury early this year, I consulted an orthopedic surgeon who recommended surgery after he requested an MRI. However, he told me that he was going to put metallic implants in my knee and that I would be in crutches and undergo rehab for 6 mos! On top of that, I would be shelling out 200K...
I thought I would go to seek a second opinion. My brother in law recommended Doc Joie, the one who performed arthroscopic surgery on his knee.
When he examined me and saw my MRI, he recommended a "simple" arthroscopic surgery. He even asked his secretary to check my insurance coverage so that I wont have to spend my own money.
To make things short - he operated on me, and I walked pain free and without crutches the day after surgery. He's a really good and compassionate doctor and I would strongly recommend him if you're looking for an orthopedic surgeon.*okay*

Just had ACL Reconstruction under Dr. Edward Sarrosa of Philipine Orthopedic Institute/Makati Med. I am now walking without crutches 2 weeks post op. He's nice and explains everything that his patients will be undergoing for their injuries. He is also accredited by a good numbe of HMOs. ;)
