Hi Guys!

I felt that I had to give at least my two cents worth on the thread above. If you have any concern like the one mentioned above you can probably write HR a letter and make your thoughts heard.

People like "B" may have made matters even complicated as it is but nothing can be done unless upper management knows about it. For as long as you guys can stand by what you believe in and you have the truth as your basis then you need not fear anybody.

We must always remember that we're lucky that we have an open door policy, we can freely express what we feel and/or think; along with this right comes the responsibility to be accountable for what we say or do. No company is perfect even if you guys transfer to other "good" call centers they also share the same kind of concerns and problems that we have.

I understand that some of us here do have valid reasons to be upset about certain policies or management style but take it from me, unless you do make an extra effort to be heard in the proper forum and venue no one's gonna ever notice that you have a clear concerns that needs urgent resolution.

I actually had an issue with a trainer for ambergris during the time that we were under her for the gaming account. I filed an IR and submitted it to the HR and OM of the account together with the signatures of my co trainees who have felt the same way.

Know what? that trainer was fired. Im not saying that youll get immediate results, but what Im saying is, they will hear about your concerns if you put it through the proper channels. :D

Oh we've talked to the account director and Tim about B. We've talked to B himself as well already. Nothing came out of it, so I don't think I can be blamed for finding another forum for my frustrations. I don't think I would resort to resignation from the company if something else can be done. Let us just say that the people who started a petition against B's management are now "pinag-iinitan" within the account. They were reprimanded for starting a petition, which was not even about terminating B, but about improving the management.

Joint venture to acquire 70% of Ambergris

SINGAPORE—A joint venture between a Singaporean and a Canadian firm is set to acquire 70 percent of call center Ambergris Solutions Philippines Inc. to boost the firms' outsourcing services.

Singapore Computer Systems Ltd. (SCS) said that it would form a joint venture with TELUS International, a wholly owned unit of Canada's second-largest Telecommunication company TELUS Corp. Inc.

SCS will have a 30-percent stake, while TELUS will hold a 70-percent stake in the joint venture, called TISCS Pte. Ltd.

SCS said TISCS would then acquire a 70-percent stake in British Virgin Islands-incorporated Ambergris Solutions Inc., which owns Philippines-based call center Ambergris Solutions Philippines Inc, for 30.45 million dollars.

"This investment will provide SCS with an additional avenue to facilitate the deployment of its business process outsourcing solutions. This is in line with SCS' strategy of developing and boosting the growth of its IT outsourcing services," SCS said in a statement.

SCS said it would fund the acquisition from internal resources and borrowings.

as of the moment, we only interview for pool. not immediate. you'll have 3 interviews on a regular basis.

If you're coming from alabang you can take a bus or if there's a shuttle near. Go down to the mrt ayala station. from there ride the bus/jeep beside the corner of edsa/mckinley road that will take you to market market :) Enter the entrance beside jolibee and proceed to the 5th level! :)

1. Yes there is a new account called TS**. It is scheduled to go live on May not april. But hiring and training will certainly be in April.

2. This new account is currently being studied to go live at raffles. Unless decided otherwise due to technicalities. An OM mentioned in this thread will spearhead this acocunt initially.

3. Alabang site is already being studied. I already saw the floor plans for the fifth floor Northgate building B. I think september will be too late. It might go online earlier. Personal wish, I hope it is later.

4. There is no Cebu. Sorry to the one who wished there will be one. But there will be none for this year as far as I know.

5. There are no new gaming accounts. Unless there is a need for the existing ones to be filled up.

POSITION SUMMARY
Ensures the profitability of the account / program by making certain that client KPIs, goals, and targets are met. guys just wanna share my experience on applying in ambergris.
honestly i just submit my resume last sunday evening, then i got a call from hr yesterday. that's monday then they told me to come around 7pm for my interview. then around 10pm will be my final interview. and then early this morning i just got a call from the hr that they gonna give me a job offer.

and then tom will be my first day at ambergris.

Well, I'm happy with my new job, though I wish I can now see my good old account prosper. it really depends on what account. like in our L2 account... you have to be familiar with softwares and hardwares of a computer with troubleshooting skills. We also have gaming accounts. In there you have to be familiar with pc and online games, and console games as well. familiar with softwares and system requirements of a game with troubleshooting skills. :)
