hey peeps, i applied for a TSR position at Ambergris.
Tom 8 am, Im goin for my final interview at discovery, just this morning I had a great time sweeping the interviews and exam..(i dont wanna feel as if im overqualified and i really feel pity for my batchmates in the interview who didnt make it to the 2nd interview even told them that if they really want the job, try watching movies and they could start speaking in english every now and then, anyways, they are given the opportunity to reapply after three months)

the thing is, why would I sign ambergris' contract rather than convergys? anyone? on your opinion which would you go, im also waiting for a call from convergys...or do you think i could go farther than a TSR? thanks everyone!

@ unoHaranista - hey! ive worked with convergys before. id say na ok ang convergys halos pareho *** naman ang starting salary. but sa account? id say il choose amber. though convergys has some large accounts also. i am actually looking forward to have a great career here. in terms of traning here in amber (il not gonna weigh things muna) but when i was with convergys i had the greatest training.

just always make sure that whatever company na mapapasukan nyo just do your best and make sure to enjoy your work and make new friends :-)

first of all, if you want advice, people here will give you advice..but you cant ask for what's IN the hiring process, it's some sort of mutual respect for the company, confidential matters, they trust you so you keep that trust. And also, getting in the hiring process as an innocent being is part of the learning process.
I wont give you what they are goin to ask or what the interviews are about but..anyways, like the HR told me there's goin to be three interviews.. depending on the position you applied for, there'll also be an exam. The first one is the initial interview, with a group, you have to be good in speaking english in public (not to be that good but atleast you could express yourself, neutral accent IS GOOD). When you pass this one, there'll be an exam (TSRs take exams, I dont know for CSRs). When you pass the exam, the final interview for the day will be a one-on-one. Then if you pass again, she'll give you a schedule with your specialized interview (it depends on the position you applied for, someone is assigned to interview for TSRs another for CSRs) again, one-on-one. Then after this....you wait..like what im doing right now, coz i really am gonna grab Ambergris hehehe=)

Hope i helped ya out, now if you fail, just smile and say.."its part of the learning process" but before thinking about failure the best advice that i could give you is to be confident enough, look on your strengths when going in an interview, and they will see that optimism inside you..its like throwing the good aura at those HR chicks..=)

deadsuperheroim sure, if ever you passed you wont be in our batch. We had our orientation and contract signing last may 11 thurs at market2, Cybil (hr for TSR) told us that we're gonna start our training on may 28 and its assured that those who were with me that day will be the same batch that will be for the training. I guess you'll be called for the next batch, according to my calculations...maybe you'll be called on May 31 for contract signing on June 1 and the training for your batch will start on June 19. I followed this pattern:
May 08 = start of training for batch 7
May 11 = contract signing of batch 8 (thursday of the week when batch 7 started their training)
May 29 = start of training for batch 8
so i guess... thursday of may 29's week will be June 1..and with the 2-week difference you'll start on June 19...this is just a theory, its the patterntht i followed for the three previous batches, well, including the current one.

I asked the interviewer if that meant that I didnt qualify, ganun kasi *** style ng ibang companies eh...they would tell you to wait for their call, etc, etc. hanggang sa hindi ka na tawagan. But then the lady told me after the interview that I indeed qualified for the job and they would just inform me thru phone or email kung kelan *** "third" interview ko. But i havent heard from them since. Ano kaya *** naging problema? or tlgang umaabot ng ganito katagal *** waiting period?:confused:

:bop: I completely object with that.. Ambergris actually is one of the fastest, so fast that you wouldn't even notice the transition, don't get me wrong, they're NOT inconsistent, the transition just keeps on accelerating that's why...

Especially for large accounts..

and yeah "its not everyday that a team captain resigns", if you believe you got a perfect rating, then you'll just have to wait for your call, we're all professionals here..

It shows on their website that they are hiring for the position. I dont know, a customer of mine told me that right when you forgot or gave up on ambergris, they'll call, and that's about right cause i gave up on them the first time even after calling them a few times. So far Dell has been the fastest and most efficient to me. Ambergris has been the slowest. and Teleperformance has been the worst for the recruiting department.

I guess there's no vacancy yet for team captains... patience is a virtue. :) it's your personal choice wether you want to wait or not... since you noticed amber is quite slow (when recruiting team captains) you can always move on and find another call center... now that will make your life more easier.

Tapos na comm skills training pre, we're moving now to the client specs training on Monday midnight. Last day na ni sir Ricky (comm skills trainer) kanina sa Ambergris eh. Sad but he said he's going to visit every now and then to check on his trainees. He's one heck of a guy, such a nice person.

Astig talaga dito, I wont regret applying in this company, everything is so cool!!!

Yes they do. Apply in Market Market. They have plenty of reputable blue chip tech support accounts. I'm not updated about ambergris offering premium... Better ask the newly hires here.
base pay would be 14-16 I think plus premium if ever. ;)

You wont proceed on the next step if you dont pass the preceding one. After then, you'll be called for contrat signing. That's all.
Ferrari shifting when? while training or on the floor? while training, comm skills usually are held during day, client specs are usually held in the evening but depends on the availability of the training rooms.. as far a i know TQ will all be held during evening at the discovery..and they say that starting july 14 (not yet official) shifting on the floor will be implemented..

it doesnt matter how many days per week as long as you can render atleast 20hrs per week:)
--minimum of 4 hours per day.

but parttimers get paid per hour plus allowances:)

at the risk of sounding like a grammar/pronunciation police, Ambergris is pronounced as Amber-gris. It is NOT a silent S.

in the dictionary it's ambergris with an s (not silent). I'm not sure why ambergris here pronounced as ambergree. :D

The reason why it is pronounced as Ambergree (without the S) is because of Liaising -- this is commonly taught in accent training. When americans say Ambergris Solutions, they liaise the S from ambergris into the solutions making it one syllable.

example: A lot of americans say Y'all instead of You all. thats liaising.

so with ambergris solutions its ambergree-solutions.

ah so sa cvg ka pala lumipat.....it's a good company medyo malakas lang pulitika pero depende rin sa acct *****...

actually di ako lumipat from cvg to amber... i resigned coz i was supposed to go abroad pero di ko tinuloy then i xferred to amber, i was able to negotiate for a good salary nmn.

difference lang natin is you came from a laid back company while ako nmn nastress na masyado sa cvg so we both wanted to try out the opposite. :)

but etel is still the ONLY company na you will feel really proud na dun ka nagwowork, i mean dami sa libis/eastwood & glorietta namamasyal na di tinatanggal ang I.D pag sa etel nagwowork. he he! pero ok din ang cvg... toxic lang mga reports pag end of the month... me mga clients pa na hihinging isubmit mo ang moon and stars...:mecry:

As far as I know.

you have to have a reco letter from your supervisor. you can reapply after 6 mos.
