guys be careful sa pag apply ** as Tech Support sa XBOX ... dahil pag na hire kayo ** malaki yung chance na hindi kayo mapunta sa XBOX account nila, sa DELL account nila kayo ilalagay sa discovery (ortigas) hehe, dahil ang pinupuno nila d2ng account e DELL.. dami cgurong mbibiktima **. front *** nila and XBOX account, although they have XBOX account but i dnt think that they have an opening for that. and guess what konti *** ang agents nila sa XBOX kse nga walang nagreresign, which means walang recruitment for that account and balita ko pa once in a blue moon *** *** nag hahire para sa XBOX...be careful, you wouldnt want to work in a DELL outsourced call center. and ang TUNAY na XBOX account na nageexpand ay nasa RMH/NCO ...

i don't know about some new hires being assigned to the DELL accounts but please don't state other assumptions as if they're already facts. i am an xbox live agent and in the anti-burn out party, our CEO announced that we are in need of 200 more agents. since i was hired, there are already a lot of batches(3, i think) that were added. even now, i always see another batch in the training room everytime i go inside the premises.
you want proof? go to the 4th floor of market! market!. we have a new office entrance because we had to expand the floor.

I'm one of the supervisors who are interviewing people for the Xbox account. what happens kse if a applicant fail our interview, he/she will be endorsed to other accounts inside amber. mahirap naman kse na pipilitin yung tao sa account. saka it really depends on how the person sells himself on the interviews.
We have grown from 200 agents and now almost 700 and still hiring. As of the moment, we are supporting the Xbox account for almost 3 yrs na. I do think NCO just started last year. Now, having said that, you guys decide. ;)

Profiling ang tawag dun, iinterviewhin ka nila for XBOX pero if you think you're not really what that program is looking for, then they will endorse you to other program PERO they will let you know naman & it's up to you to decide if you will consider that other program or ayaw mo.... HTH

i think that rumor could somehow help. lets say that xbox is the "hottest" account right now, more and more applicants will be attracted to go there to apply. honestly i worked for ambergris before, but i only lasted 2 months because of an "offer". lam nyo na :-) . but i really did hope that i was working for that account. i have some former teammates that got pulled-out to work for xbox and they are enjoying :-).
so guys why not try XBOX :-) . peace.

as of the moment puno na ang slots ng email...it either mapunta ka sa Live or 360 HW. anyways...maski san ka naman mapuna masaya pa rin!

agent - 13k ++ allowances(non taxable)
TC(ito term nila sa TLs) - 25k ++ allowances(non taxable)
i would admit lower sya sa offer ng iba pero it's bound to change real soon...;) BUT hindi sya kasing toxic ng ibang company, worked with cvg before... salary & company is good pero durog ka sa pagod.
one thing i've learned also is that maraming nagreresign sa amber na bumabalik....:)

nope... from what i've heard merong mga walang kaalam alam sa xbox pero natatanggap. dunno how their profiling goes though. pero me mga "almost" senior citizen sa xbox & it's safe to assume na when they were profiled for XBOX cgurado ako ni nde nila alam kung ano un!:lol: :rotflmao: HTH

tue pa kami nag contract signing for xbox.. ang linaw ng usapan, and sa contract it says we're suppose to start training today! haay.. akala ko okay na. may landline and cel no. naman akong iniwan dun so IMPOSIBLE di nila ako ma contact. and their HR reruitment no. rings FOREVER. nagbubusy minsan so i am sure active ang line.

yep me tech premium chief! honestly amber will not rank against the highest paying CC's in the land BUT according to my friends who have been with amber for quite some time(since less than a month pa lang ako dito) eh ok daw sa amber, mas laidback, lesser politics(khet saan **** meron nyan), and I was surprised to learn na maraming nagresign na lumilipat sa ibang higher paying company ang bumabalik sa amber.:)
of course meron ding me mga "not so good" experience with amber & it's just normal. but for me, in my less than a month stay, I would have to say...amber...*okay*

tama ba yun? for xbox ka rin ba? kulang yatang 8 hrs yang sked... anyways, nung tumawag ako sa front desk ang daming transfers bago i was told na may training daw ng 11am to 8pm.. so OBVIOUSLY late na ko.. bad trip talaga. i wasn't informed at all! may isa pa dun nagsabi na kesyo tinext naman daw lahat, well, i told her wala akng narereceive na text.. walang calls nor email. ang gulo talaga.. i am beginning to wonder kung were talking about the same training. ANYWAYS tomorrow na lang ako pupunta. icoconfirm ko muna kung ano ba talaga sked ko. wala pa daw roster sabi nung sa command ctr eh.. haaay, bad trip talaga!

this is something that ambergris should fix, it might sound little but we had the same problem with this one before, when we were on training. schedules were not said to us directly and as the information about the time and place was clear. buti nalang nakuha ko yung mga numbers ng mga alam kong nakapasa sa batch namin. i had a batchmate that got lost during the first day of our training, he went to another building in ortigas instead of the building that he shouldve be going. come on amber :-) , im just concern of these new hired employees, although im not connected with amber anymore :-)

first of all i do apologize for any confusoin on what's going on...kme rin medyo nagpapanic na...the problem is with workforce and the training rooms. very limited ang training rooms na may audio and video facilities..especially with xbox, you guys need those so that you can train better. will do a follow up with workforce and our training team so that we can give you a more detailed answer. pero don't worry, since u already signed the contract, u will be with our team. please pm me na lang if you have questions?

PARANG GUSTO KO NA SUMUKO. i am running in circles here. ilang beses na ko tumawag to confirm a simple schedule sked info PERO bakit parang clueless sila? i've been passed from 1 dept to another.. ilang beses na kinuha name at contact nos. ko. today is my 2nd day of training supposedly and guess what.. I'M STILL HERE SA BAHAY.. waiting for an update. this is just SAD. by far this is the WORST hiring experience i had. ako na nga gumagawa ng paraan.. like, i am the one calling and almost begging for an answer. wala silang roster of trainees? tsk.. can't imagine that. nakaka turn off talaga.
AMBEGRIS peeps tulong naman, i am totally getting nowhere.. (sigh)

Medyo may problema nga ang Amber when it comes to training scheds.
I remember before when I used to fetch my GF who worked at the front desk, a trainee approached her and asked details in regards to the training. She said she was informed by somebody that the training is at JMT and will start at 12AM, Monday.
Nagpunta yong trainee to the said building pero walang tao doon sa supposed training room. My GF had no idea rin kasi nga walang advisory and come to think of it, madaling araw ng Lunes?... so *** mga papunta dun, bibiyahe ng gabi ng Sunday. Though call centers really have odd scheds, pero parang kakaiba pa rin iyong sched given to her to think training iyon... Tinawagan pa ng GF ko isang tao sa recruitment, and sabi sa kanya wala daw sched ng ganun...
So, yung kawawang trainee, walang choice kungdi umuwi ng alanganing oras... And mind you, dalawang beses nangyari iyon on different occasions.
Ambergris is one of those reputable call centers around. Sana lang maayos nila yung mga ganitong kaso...

well, wala akong nakuhaan ng name e, basta it was last tue when i signed the copntract (nov. 27). ayun.. gabi na nga yun e, cybil briefed us a bit about ambergris. sabi nya wait til friday for the text or call.. pero ayun nga.. up to now wala pa din. nahihiya nga nga ako sa front desk.. i have been calling like 3 times a day. una sa umaga, then i'll be asked to call back after lunch.. at ayun.. same routine give my name and contact details and just wait. kanina lang i spoke with ms. lil, i remember her nung application, she was nice and told me she will call back after 30min for an update. WELL. what can i say.. 3 hours later wala pa din. the front desk told me also na kagabi pa nya binigay name ko to someone named "borj" - pero awa ng dyos wala pa ding feedback.
masaklap kasi nito i am REALLY clueless. di ko alam kung on going na ba training ko, o same thing happened sa mga kasama ko. 3 days na akong absent if that will be the case. so if ever, gusto ko lang irequest na sana isama na lang ako sa susunod na batch of trainees.. masyado na akong late kung on going na pala training ng batch ko without me. and i can swear i did my PART on this. di ako nagkulang sa pag inquire at pagtawag. kahit dito sa pex, i am asking for help na nga din. never thought starting a training could be such a hassle! nagwork na ko sa ilang call centers kaya I KNOW this is far from normal.. even further from being fair.

Past holiday season here at fedex sobrang astehg!! Dahil sa earthquake sa taiwan system was down :) im not happy dahil sa earthquake pero happy dahil we were off since dec 28 until jan 2 and the best part was paid nyahahaha :naughty: ... sana naman mag issue lang ng bago guideline ang HHMI na meron na dapat outbound previous call center experience it should only apply to the incoming applicants and not to those who were given a job offer or currently training for almost 2 weeks. It's so sad for those agents who were never given the chance to prove themselves to HHMI management to be graded in a live call who were removed and transferred to Market Market only to have another interview with another account. sayang yung pagod ng trainees even the trainers were dissapointed with the decision of HHMI. I hope this will never happen again.

oops trainees pala di pala agents na nagcurrently training for 2 weeks or more na removed and endorsed to another account in market market only to have another interview with no guarantees that they will be accepted if and only they pass the interview. para naman sa na graded sa live calls that were removed. sana wag kayo bitter malay nyo di para sa atin itong account or maybe we need to improve that includes me. overall management ng ambergris okay naman.

okay ambiance at mga tao sa amber- accdg to my hubby. mababait daw lahat ng peeps. yun nga lang, hindi gaanong mataas ang basic salary...tuloy, kahit okay na sya doon, he wanted to look for other call center that offer higher salary. yun bang mga tipong P18000- P22000 monthly.

meron more than 12k in my case with no previous call center experience. depende sa account. at yung sinasabi mababa pasweldo ambergris meron umaabot ng 20k dito tech support siguro kailangan me call center experience ka.
ang masasabi ko lang sa yo freshbabe di ka pwede mamili ng account unless kung gusto mo isuggest sa hrd pero usually meron na agad account na paglalagyan ka. malas mo lang pag sa discovery ka pinapupunta.

yes you can still reapply after 6 months (according to the HR) but you have to process your clearance daw first they said that you can no longer go back to the account where you are previously at.

sa dell cag me nakausap ako sweldo nya 15k kaso di na nya nakayanan workload umalis na sya. The advantage part is if you are from dell account you could easily apply at dell manila and from what i have heard they offer a huge compensation.

13,250k is the starting salary for dell tech here,plus 1k tech premium, plus 500peso globe load (which some of the people i know there are not getting anymore), rice allowance of 1.5k... when i worked for this account i was getting 7.9k every payday, sometimes 7.4k, about xbox ? they are really wishing that Microsoft wont pull this out from amber

almost all companies **** have politics eh...maybe they just differ on the magnitude hehe...and sad to say, i've also experienced it in ambergris..im not with amber anymore, kakaresign ko *** hehe...pro im not bitter, ambergris has really honed me in becoming a good call center rep and im really grateful for that...un nga lang sometimes we really cant absorb too much politicking anymore kahit na we're not directly involved... so in my case i jst opted to leave, move on and find another company

madali ba mag-resign sa amber? pwede ba ** na mag-submit agad ng resignation letter then, hindi ka na agad papasok. mabibigyan pa rin ba ng clerance or employment certificate yung employee na nag resign?
how about kapag nag-AWOL ka at hindi na tuluyan pumasok? yung tipong di nag bigay ng letter? mabibigyan pa rin ba ng clearance/cert after several months?

I agree with you ... remember when i was still in dfs? (kilala mo sha) The worst TC that ive ever had in my whole call center career came from that account ...... Her patience so nil that every single call that me and my colleague had becomes the worst call ever .... kaya kahit na dapat sana endorse na ako sa Ops i still volunteered to have an interview for Xbox

me proceso pag resign kailangan kumuha ka ng clearance form and then follow the instructions me schedule ng department kung saan ka pupunta para magpapirma para isauli mo rin yung mga gamit katulad ng headset ID etc.... don't forget your resignation letter gawa ka 3 copies you will be submitting that to your immediate supervisor yung isa sa exit interview.

/\ Bad record yun. Panget sa mata ng next employer mo yun. Well I'm from ER before with amber. Meron akong nakikitang cases na nagreresign ng immediate. Baka pwede pa, but you must have a good reason (alibi) why immediate.

ive been with amber for 1 yr under cts and it was fun at first. kaso ang mga nasa taas mahilig mag experimento kaya ang working environment eh pumangit na. politics? sobra sa cts. lahat ng nasa taas galing ng microsoft pc safety, and no offense, sabi ng mga kabatch nila na naiwan sa pc safety eh karamihan scammer! *** dati kong tc "techie" daw, pero samin nagtatanong about dispatches. pero meron naman magagaling talaga (un mga external hired). every month pabago bago sila ng policy tapos ang sisi sa agents. qa's are approchable, even the om's. ndi pa maganda *** prosseso nila ng promotion. pano ba nmn magkakron ng maayos na proseso eh mga nagpopromote mga scammer. ang TC nagiging workforce, ayaw tumanggap ng escalation. as far as amber ok naman sha, wlang discrep.

lahat naman ng callcenter me politics di naman mawawala yan. sa sweldo lang nagkakatalo wala lang talaga sya salary discrepancy what you get is what you receive. yun din pansin ko no room for growth how long ba bago ka makalipat ng ibang account o sila lang ba pwede maglipat sa yo sa ibang account?

sa amber, it'll take u forever bago ka mapromote. unless may "kakilala" ka sa taas na pwede mo bolabolahin ng konte and alam na nila ibig sabihin nun. just what i said, lahat ng humahandle sa dell acct eh galing ng kabilang acct.... TC, OM and even the director. kunwari magpopost sila ng internal opening pero lam mo na kung sino ang makukuha. ngayon, ang dami ng umalis sa kanila. and also, ang mga bagong hire ng amber ngyon i heard range na more or less 17k. ang mga tenured still 13,250. wala silang increase *** mapipilitan umalis ang mga tenured. good thing i left, coz im now a QA, earning 25k!

im a new customer service associate of ambergris solutions, and ill be starting today in their market market office, at 930 pm, hehe, talk about my first call center job and im already assigned on the graveyard shift? i dont have issues about it anyway, wuhoo! in fact im really excited, because if im not mistaken, ill be expecting additional pay because of my night differential hours. :D
i read the first 3, and the last 2 pages of this long thread, ive read some good and bad posts about the company, but i guess you really cant please everyone. anyway, like i said earlier, this is my first call center job, and after seeing how the number of applicants went down through the day, i really felt lucky that i made it through all those interviews and exams...anyway, i graduated last may 2006, got a job after graduation, but i got tired of it and left, so you might call me one of those career shifters.
today is my first day of training, and im really excited, in fact i wasnt able to sleep right away last night because i couldnt get it off my mind.
there's not much that i can say about the company right now, since ive only seen their recruitment process, and of course the contract for what they call "virgin" call center employees...:D
first, their offices, ive seen their office in discovery center, ortigas, and their office in market market...what can i say? wow, it looks really really good, especially in market market :D
their recruitment process, well, like what i said earlier, was really hard, especially for fresh grads who never had an experience talking to a group of people whom they dont really know. i mean, the first stage was a group interview, the pressure was really high especially if you can hear and see those people with previous call center experience talk. its understandable that most "virgins" wouldnt have that much self-confidence as compared to those with experience. to give a picture, we were like 30 applicants in our batch, and only 8 of us passed this group interview...phew...i dont think i may have passed if i had no work experience also, plus, the fact that i was interviewed countless times already by other companies, i really got used to it now, hehe, and of course there were several more interviews and exams that followed, we were only 5 by the time we were finished with the final interview.
so here's what most of the readers here want to see..."the contract"...:D
well, yeah, i signed the contract, and of course, once i sign it, im now subject to that, and part of the contract is to keep all information about the company confidential...:D
i dont think ill get sued with all those things i said so far, but anyway, what i can say based on what ive seen in the contract, and based on our orientation about the company, is that the company really treats their employees well, you will enjoy your work, the people around you, the facilities, your compensation, and the other perks you will receive. ;)

i enjoyed my first day of training with my batchmates last night there, in fact im still excited to go back to training...:D the office is awesome, i felt like i was in a hotel last night, though i just find it funny that the production floor looks like a large dining place of yellow cab...hahaha!

geraldo3 - i think there's a thread here about salaries on call center companies, i posted there the starting salary of an inbound customer service associate with no previous call center experience. if you have worked before in other cc companies, they'll give you another contract, which i do not know yet...:D

im sure, magugustuhan mo dyan sa ambergris kasi mababait tao dyan .
pero yung cellphone mo, swerte ka pag nabigay in 3 months time kasi yung iba after 6 months na nila bago nakuha. saka hindi lahat ay brandnew pero once na makuha mo na yun ay guaranteed na may load ka laging P500 monthly.
then, yung friday freebies, hindi laging meron, syempre minsan talagang wala saka kadalasan once a month lang meron.

yah, *** cellphone, i really dont care about the model, what i want is the load...:D the hr officer who discussed our contract told us that it's not really always on time, usually you would get it after 4-6 months.
and the friday treats, she also that it used to be every friday, then as the company grew in numbers, it was impractical to give freebies every friday, they are now doing it quarterly...its not on a regular schedule though, but its 4 times a year...:D
im excited on the coming town hall though...:D

may opening po ba sa ortigas? DFS po ako last year and I had to resign due to personal reasons.. I am currently working at Etelecare and would love to work at Ambergris, Ortigas again. I was given the opportunity to handle a team of new hires at Etel but unfortunately, it was just a temporary position. Gusto ko po bumalik sa Amber.. help naman po. :)

i find it odd that the way you describe ambegris, is exactly the opposite of what im experiencing there right now...:)
how did you know that those agents you saw inside the bus were from ambergris? (oh well, what's the point, its easy to say they wore their IDs anyway...), i dont know about them, pero me and my batchmates dont talk so loudly in english, especially in public places, and once we get out of our stations, kulitang tagalog na lang lagi ang usapan...:)
i dont know why you are saying that the 37th floor of discovery suites doesnt have air conditioning...if im correct, prestigous buildings like discovery suites should have centralized A/C right? im sure though that you cant forget to bring your jacket if you are working in market market...hehe.
i dont know what your problem in ambergris is...but, i think saying negative words towards someone or something is not a very good way of beating your competitor...just shows how low you can get just to be one step above your competitor...:D
anyway, i saw your posts in other threads so.....off to my ignore list, im sorry if i wont be able to reply to you anymore...oh well, i guess it's really a common thing, especially for filipinos...with our oh-so-good "crab mentality". ;)
