uy ha..okay sa ambergris.maganda facilities at sobra lamig. restroom nga nila ganda din then laging may supply ng tissue.

saka pag naregular ka doon ay umaabot na sa P5000 ang total allowances nila.

sa mga reg.employees ng amber: ano experience nyo sa vacation leave request?

kasi may nagsabi sa akin na parang bihira sila mag-approve ng vacation leave hehehe...kahit mag-file ka ng 3 weeks before. e sayang naman di ba kung hindi ma-aaprove yung request kasi non-convertible sa cash?

paano ba dapat gawin para naman ma-approve yung leave? kasi nalalaman na lang na hindi pala approve yung request just a week before. ayun,napipilitan tuloy mag-absent na lang kasi hindi naman pwedeng hindi pupunta sa wedding or sa sa family gathering hindi ba?

any ideas po para naman ma-maximize yung 15 days vacation leave dyan sa amber? or pwede bang i-file ng employee yung 15 days leave nya ng buo kapag malapit ng ma-forfeit ito?

experience ko about VL request ok naman.
nagfile ako ng 5 days leave pero nakita ko sa sched ko 3 days *** ang nakafile ng leave so i asked my tc bout it and yun naayos naman. naapprove naman ang leave basta na-file mo ng 2 weeks advance.

hah? sayo na-approve agad? bakit kaya dun sa kada ko hindi na-aaprove? birthday leave nya nga daw hindi pa nya nagagamit. linggo-linggo na daw sya kung mag file with 2 weeks allowance pero hindi pa rin na-aaprove

sabi nya sa 8 months stay nya e 1 vacation leave pa lang nagagamit nya. hindi kaya dahil nasa escalation team sya (tier 2)?

o hindi lang inaasikaso ng TC niya? hehehehe

in tier2 group, sup plots the sched of the agents kaya madali mag request ng leave, but, that also depends kung madami callbacks ang team. mahirap mag request ng vl sa inbound, dapat yung reason mo about medical para madali ma approve.

i see... e ano mangyayari kapag hindi laging ina-approve yung leave? at the last month ba na mapo-forfeit na yung leaves mo eh ma-ooblige na ba silang i-approve yung leave mo?

sayang naman di ba? kasi alam ko nga dapat kapag hindi nagamit ng employee yung benefit na yun eh, bigyan sila ng force leave ng company.

saka pwede ba i-contest yung ganitong case?

you file VL request 3weeks before then, then, nung lumabas yung schedule mo for the week na kung saan may request ka for VL ay nalaman mo hindi approve. can you insist for it?

kasi you're expecting na with that time frame dapat nagawan na nila ng paraan yung VL request mo di ba? and dapat kung hindi nila i-aaprove,sabihin nila agad. dahil syempre set na yung schedule mo at hindi na pwede i-move yung itinerary mo.

okay lang sana na hindi magamit yung VL kung convertible into cash pero hindi naman, tuloy ayun, kapag di na-approve yung VL, napipilitan umabsent...problema, bawas na sa sweldo mo, hindi mo pa napakinabangan yung VL mo.

30 days render ng resignation. me balak ka pa bang makuha backpay mo?! if not mag awol ka na lang. usually pag na terminate ka sa account which is the easiest way out pwera na lang kung gusto mo makuha backpay mo you have to go to the process of submitting a resignation letter, clearances etc....... then 2 to 3 mos of waiting for the backpay which I'am doing right now.

how about kung mag-submit ng resignation within two weeks notification lang? okay na kaya iyon? e biglaan kasi kaya kukulangin na sa oras kung 30 day notice pa.

mas okay kung makukuha yung backpay di ba? sayang naman kasi yun.extra money pa din iyon. paano ba kino-compute yung backpay? kasama ba dito yung 13 month pay?

i think, hindi naman papayag yung management at security ng market market na papasukin yung mga tao ulit sa loob kung hindi pa sila sure na false alam lang talaga.

aba mas malaking liability ata yun...pag ganoon ang nangyari lahat ng tao doon sa loob ng mall ay sasagutin nila if ever.

Funny na makita yung ibat ibang reaction at feeling ng mga Employee sa Amber.. But i think nde lahat ng account dito masaya it will depends siguro sa TM, CM at Director ng account for us... i mean US... even were earning good money (though not enough) specially mga bata sa account namin... We are now strating to become unsecured at unhappy, dahil na din ***** sa CM na twisted yung mind at yung pressure na ginagawa ng IT samen hehehe! Some IT here feels that they are God's pero ganun talga hehehe IT din ako dati.. pero sana yung account namin maging masaya ulet at mawala na yung CM namin. hehehe!

But I gree sa ibang agents dito na Magaling ang upper management ng Ambergris... I like the idea of coffe talks.

However if I will comapre Ambergris to the previous company that i work with this company is way below their standard... ***** pag Fresh Graduates or bago ka palang nagtrabaho this company is a breeze, but if you happen to go to more organize organization masasabi mo na madami pang kakaining bigas ang Amber. hehehe!

For me I wanted to leave here and go back to a corporate atmostphere. People in my account sucks.

talagang ganyan, wala namang perpektong kumpanya.

yung mga kaibigan ko sa amber, lahat sila satisfied naman sa work. masaya naman sila kahit daming calls kasi okay naman mga people sa floor nila.

sa sweldo, average naman kc okay naman yung allowances at hindi tlaga nadedelay ang dating sweldo kahit kelan.

their problem is the HR.madaming flaws at mabagal mag-process ng lahat ng bagay. buti na lang at hindi kailangan indahin yung HR sa araw-araw hehehe...

then isa pa, yung pag-aapprove ng VL.hay meron ka nga di naman magamit :( pero ito hindi naman sakop ng HR :)

pero all in all, oaky naman sa amber. ang maganda dito, hindi ka mahohold ng supervisor mo na mag-apply internally for other position. kasi you can apply without letting him/her know. di mo kailanga humingi ng permiso. pero syempre as courtesy, the sup will be informed kapag for consideration ka na for the position that you are applying.

Ang tagal mag process ng back pay. January pa final interview ko, sabi two months max. June na, wala pa rin. Puro next week, next week. During my final interview they asked me to reconsider, saying they're making changes. Sus. PALPAK pa rin. It's been half a year now. I heard someone sued the company just to get his check. If that's the only way I can get my money, they should have just told me during my exit interview. My money is just sitting there with them, not doing anything for me. Pwede ba. Pakiayos lang.

Amber- stayed there for 2 1/2 years. Got promoted twice and deprived of appraisal twice too.

Company managers and policies suck. People in the middle management and below are okay... very diverse. Lots of fun accounts.

Good stepping stone company for fresh blood in the call center biz. Good luck peeps!

I've been following up regularly for 6 months now. A perfect example of the idiocy and inefficiency that is Ambergris. They can't even pronounce their company name properly.

yep.madali lang mag-apply sa amber. lalo na ngayon na ramping up na naman sila. kagandahan dito sa amber eh hindi sila mahigpit once na nakapasok ka na sa floor.

ito lang yata yung callcenter na hindi masipag mag-tanggal ng agents kahit pa na negative na yung baleen nung agents. super lenient sila pagdating sa ganitong bagay. hindi ka matatakot na matanggal sa company. worst lang na mangyayari sayo e malilipat ka ng ibang account.

saka isa pa, dito pwede ka talaga mag-apply to other position internally ng hindi kailangan humingi ng permiso sa supervisor mo. inonotify lang yung sup mo kapag for consideration ka na. unlike sa ibang callcenter na hawak ka sa leeg ng immediate supervisor mo.

yun lang...pero kakainis dito HR!!! ang bagaaaaaaaaaaaaal ng proseso nila saka parang hindi organize.

saka isa pa, hirap mag request ng leave kaya ayun yung agents nag-aabsent na lang kung kelan gusto kasi useless mag-file ng leave hehehe...

I have been working as a call center agent for nearly 2 years already. Last January, I decided to leave convergys to spend time with my kids. After 4 months, I decided to work again and so I sent my application to different call centers. The first two that responded are IBM Daksh and Ambergris. Both processed my application in one day and I passed screening on both. IBM was the first to offer me a job but because Ambergris (Market-Market) is just a short distance away from our house, I decided to go ahead and go to AMbergris. Many of my friends tried to sway me because they said IBM is far better than Ambergris in terms of compensation and benefits and but I did not listen. It turns out... they were right.

Here's what I mean:

Can we at least, get mugs please!

I have been in this company just a month but I have passed my resignation. Some agents in the floor say "galing ka kasi sa saucy na call center eh" to justify my complaints. Its not that, I just think that you should take better care of your employees. There are a number of call centers in the country and if you want to keep your agents, then give them better benefits.

Take any bus that can drop you at AYALA. Then there's a small street (eskenita) right after the stairs going up to the MRT station. Follow that street then you will see Jeeps and Buses that is bound to market market. :)

Med benefits will depend on the level of your role. Entry level is plan SILVER Maxicare card, and for OFFICER/LEAD position it's GOLD.
(I not familiar on how to elaborate these plans of Maxicare.)

oh well, i am a currently enrolled student on my 4th year... gusto kong TALAGANG itry yung domino's pizza account kasi parang mas lighter yung account (compared sa dati kong account sa convergys-QC na tech support)... kaso, parang sa market market lang yung may available slots for call center agents e ang layo naman... saka di ako amenable sa shifting schedules e, graveyard shift lang ako puwede... baka sa Ambergris e di pwedeng mag-request sa HR na fixed yung sched for full-time students di gaya sa convergys...

Imagine, sa screening process pa lang ng mga applicants may sablay na... Serious "lisping" problem tinatanggap ng HR.

Yung mga magagaling talagang agent, tc, qa... Hindi nagtatagal sa Ambergris. Alam kasi nila na mabubulok lang ang talent, knowledge and skill nila sa ganitong klaseng company.

Like what I've said, I've been with several contact centers and companies pero sa Amber lang ako naka-encounter ng pinakapalpak na management.

Di ko rin kayo masisisi kung pinagtatanggol n'yo ang Amber but common' you guys, marami pang contact centers dyan aside from Amber and kapag na-experience n'yo kung gaano kaganda sa ibang contact centers you'll agree with what I'm saying. ;)

share ko lang.. Galing akong CVG.. then I transferred here sa telus/ ambergris... I would say na madali ang trabaho dito sa telus kaysa sa dati kong company.. Benefits wise, yup medyo middle sya pero maganda naman ang pagaalaga sa tao dinadaan nila sa ibang paraan like parties, freebies, etc.... Siguro depende din sa account na pinuntahan nyo pero marami akong nakitang maganda dito in terms of pagaaalaga. Hindi rin powertrip ang mga tao.. Siguro understand the situation lang..I can see na meron iba na bad experiences pero have you actually talked to the company about it.. If we see something wrong, we tell it and nagagawan naman ng paraan.. Basta, nasa motivation nyo lang kung ano ang hanap nyo.. Another thing, iba ang mga tao sa telus.. Believe me, Galing na ako sa nagclaclaim na no.1 na center sa pinas and I wasted two years of my life don..Dito mas ok ako...mag 2 years na ako at masaya pa rin ako...think about it...

So lemme see, what skill sets or competencies do you have which would have companies running after you and scrambling to offer you a higher package than what you are currently getting (to take away your frustrations on receiving loose change after all the "hard work" you've put in)?

Also, dont you think that all jobs are toxic, no matter what industry you are in, and that all companies have very strict policies that they expect to be followed by all employees. If you wanted a lenient company, what were you hoping to do in it? Play online games? Go on a 2-day vacation every month? What sort of environment did you have in mind, anyway? Hopefully not a "petiks" one, which a lot of posters here seem to yearn for.

You are classified as "staff-level" by the company, plain and simple. You are despensible, in other words. Most companies say that they value their employees, and I am pretty sure Telus or Ambergris is one such company. But I dont think they would run after you and give you a raise should you decide on handing in your quitting papers. I am not trying to be harsh, but that is the reality.

Reality dictates that you are performing an entry-level job, which guarantees you no extra perks. Just a guarantee of cash every 2 weeks, some bonuses and incentives here and there, a handful of leaves, and a s***load of work. And all these things are all but a part of this nice, little agreement you and the company both signed onto, called an employment contract. It is an agreement, which ultimately translates into the company expecting you to perform with that amount of money.

My unsolicited advice is for you to be thankful you even have a job. Thankul and content in the fact that you are getting paid every month (millions of jobless Filipinos would be envious, believe me). As long as the company is not screwing you up with delayed salaries, giving you questionable payslips and ordering you to scrub the toilet bowl with a toothbrush, be happy that the future is friendly. ;)

PS I am not from Ambergris/Telus. :p

My two cents on those complaining about the supposedly "low" base pay of some call centers.

Try looking at it from a business standpoint. Companies try to be as strategic as possible when it comes to the package they offer to employees. They join expensive and prestigious surveys just to find out if they are within the median of what the going rate of the industry is. Because that is what they exactly want--to be competitive in terms of salary, but still keeping a strong foothold in terms of their business propositions to their existing and potential clients. Clients seek for low-cost/high quality centers. To lower your cost, you would have to sacrifice on splurging on your overhead expenses for salaries, at the same time, ensuring that you are not out from within the median of what the industry rate is. When Convergys started back in 2004, they were handing out 19k to 20K contracts to newly-hired agents. But as soon as their H.R. was set-up, this was brought down to a more reasonable pay scale.

If say, your company decides to do a Technion (R.I.P.) by offering outrageous salaries to its agents, what happens next? Dell (its one and only account), ultimately then decides to let go, because their business proposition rate was much too high, but did not make up for it by coming up with a well-executed management plan, hence the fold-up of the company.

And its ex-employees? Those that were lured in as Managers and given exorbitantly high packages found themselves applying for supervisor, even agent positions, and taking a huge dive in terms of their asking salaries with other companies just to get back in the game.

I would rather work for a company that tries to take care of its financials by not overspending on salaries and wages, which ensures a healthier and more stable company. This then gives me the opportunity to build on my career without having to worry about whether the company has closed shop when I wake up the next day.

I would only have to think of Technion, Reese Brothers, Epixtar and all the others..and I know that I am fine.

My friends who came from Ambergris/Telus told me that working there is not that bad. The people are generally nice and the ambiance is great. The accounts are stable too. And one more thing, kahit medyo below-average employee ka in terms of attendance and performance, your job is really stable. Hindi sila basta-basta nag-aalis ng agents (basta wag lang grave offense)...you will not be threatened to lose your job in this company.

pero syempre, one reason why they moved to another company is to get higher pay. Ganun naman talaga sa industry na ito di ba? The fastest way to get your desired salary is to move on after 6months to one year. If not, increment of 10-20% lang makukuha mo.

You are classified as "staff-level" by the company, plain and simple. You are despensible, in other words. Most companies say that they value their employees, and I am pretty sure Telus or Ambergris is one such company. But I dont think they would run after you and give you a raise should you decide on handing in your quitting papers. I am not trying to be harsh, but that is the reality.

Reality dictates that you are performing an entry-level job, which guarantees you no extra perks. Just a guarantee of cash every 2 weeks, some bonuses and incentives here and there, a handful of leaves, and a s***load of work. And all these things are all but a part of this nice, little agreement you and the company both signed onto, called an employment contract. It is an agreement, which ultimately translates into the company expecting you to perform with that amount of money.

My unsolicited advice is for you to be thankful you even have a job. Thankul and content in the fact that you are getting paid every month (millions of jobless Filipinos would be envious, believe me). As long as the company is not screwing you up with delayed salaries, giving you questionable payslips and ordering you to scrub the toilet bowl with a toothbrush, be happy that the future is friendly. ;)

My friends who came from Ambergris/Telus told me that working there is not that bad. The people are generally nice and the ambiance is great. The accounts are stable too. And one more thing, kahit medyo below-average employee ka in terms of attendance and performance, your job is really stable. Hindi sila basta-basta nag-aalis ng agents (basta wag lang grave offense)...you will not be threatened to lose your job in this company.

pero syempre, one reason why they moved to another company is to get higher pay. Ganun naman talaga sa industry na ito di ba? The fastest way to get your desired salary is to move on after 6months to one year. If not, increment of 10-20% lang makukuha mo.


sana humilera na ang TELUS sa pagka-GENEROUS ng SYKES...
kasi halos lahat ng "plus points sa callcenter" :naughty:

people/facilities&ambiance/ stable accounts meron na siya... :love:

-if there is one thing i like here, its because of the work environment. medyo nadedemoralize ka sa sweldo pero ang mga tc ** lalo na sa account namin mababait. kahit na mag awol ka pa ng 10 days i-issue-han kpa rin ng return to work order ng TC mo. Karamihan ng TC dito approachable bibihira lang tlaga ang may attitude. **** OM, very much concern sila s situation ng agent. May mga agents din kc na mga pasaway, *** sinsabi kong OM, alagang nya ang mga agents nya. you can directly go with her kung anong problema. di 1to kaplastikan, mabait syang OM, very approachable siya at masesekretuhan mo.that's good thing why i'm staying here. may nababasa kc ako n mga boss na mahirap pakisamahan, dito hindi.at di2 di maarte ang mga cca. 2 years na ako dito.d man tumataas sweldo ko pero OK n rin kc masaya naman ako sa account na 1to although toxic, like my tc pagtatangol k nya. maasar man sya very professional e-email ka niya at lahat job-related walang personalan.. wala p ako na experience dito n may tc nagmura ng agent nya.

ya madali lang as long as u hav *** it takes depending on the position ur aiming..:p
of corz uv got 2 prepare urself sa interview *** ndi ka msyado kbahan..:lol: its lyk b4 u go into a war uv got 2 hav ur sword d ba??:D and make xur u hav a proper attire though we aren't actually that strict bout dress codes... kxe 1st impression's important..interviewers don't know the applicants' personalities, so they wud only base their impression on *** they see asyd of corz on resumes.. so i wud recommend you 2 wear formal attire for them to take you more seriously.. ;)
as far as i cud remember panel interview then un mkakapasa they wud go on for pro-speak,sa fone un..then final interview.. :rotflmao:

I applied for an email/chat post last month. I really got so excited because of the people and the place (Discovery building in Ortigas is so nice). I was able to finish the exams and the interviews (it took me until 9PM since I applied at around 3) and luckily I made it. I was scheduled for the job offer on the other day however, someone had called me prior to the job offer and suddenly told me that I'll be no longer placed at the email/chat post instead they'll be putting me at a voice account. I asked them why and the Rep told me I failed(when I knew that I passed). I really can't fathom the disappointment that I had experienced. Do they give the applicants false hopes?

I'm really so sorry guys, It's not my intention to demean everyone. I've been through the horrors of voice accounts yet I don't want to let go of the opportunities the Industry offers so I looked for alternatives.

Enough of the drama though, I'm already at Transcom. Nyahaha. It's nice here wanna try?

I signed up with Telus as a Trainer and will be starting next week.
I'm a bit apprehensive.But it's comforting to know that they may not offer the highest salary in this industry but they have good working environment and people. I was seriously considering to apply with Sykes then, however after the interview with my future boss, I felt that I would enjoy working with her. The pay that I will be getting is somewhat lower than the "negotiable" pay range that I quoted. But I'm following my gut feel here. Hello po guys, I just wanna ask many things about their branch in Market Market.

I went through their recruitment process smoothly(last week for a day lang, thanks to Our Lord), and my last interview will be with the operations manager. But still Im contemplating to enter a CC company since Im completely clueless about the do's and dont's / strategies of the industry(Im a fresh graduate).

1. Umm what are the shifts available in this company?
2. Do they provide free meals?
3. Was 15k-17k is enough for a TSR post?
4. Do they provide relocation assistance(since Im from a very far province).
5. Was the people(management, co-workers) and work environment in that branch(Market, Market) were conducive?
6. Whats the schedule of the 1 month training? What will happen when I failed/pass?
7. Was the contract signing before or after the training? What is the allowance given for a trainee per day?
8. Aside from the salary itself, are there any incentives for excellent work performance, christmas bonuses, 13th month pay, and double pay during official holidays?
9. What was the name of their health Insurance company?
10. Is there a shuttle service? Where is the pick-up points?

When I was about to go home from market market(I went there from makati for a free ride), I rode a jeep from the terminal, and I ended in Guadalupe market. Since its my first time to go to that place I presume that the main road is far from the mall. I guess daily commuting during training days would be tough since I'll be coming from one of the provinces connected to SLEX. And so, where would be the best option to take a boarding house? May I humbly ask for your suggestions?

yes ive heard some good feedbacks about this company. good compensation, nice working environment etc. one more thing, hindi sila strict sa attires, always dressdown daw. im planning to apply nga by next week. can somebody wouldnt mind to give me more details about this company? confirm lang ang basic pay, is it 15k, excluded pa ang allowances and incentives, right?

I was interviewed for the Quality Supervisor position but no one ever called me back after the final interview. I just hoped that people from recruiting still call applicants if ever they failed or at least send a regret letter through email.

About Telus? I can say na maganda magtrabaho sa company na ito. I am an ex employee-maganda ang culture, environment promise. Hindi nga lang kalakihan ang sahod pero kaya pa rin naman tumapat sa offer ng iba. Pag nagwork ka, may free cellphone ka at 500 pesos load monthly. Meron ka rin ditong rice allowance tsaka meal and transpo allow. Sobrang mababait ang tao pati higher managemnt napaka approachable nila. Kung hanap mo ang parties? naku magsasaya ka kasi every 6 months merong townhall party dito at ang catering?..... sobra sobra unlike sa iba may stub ka na nga di ka pin aabot hehhehe!
Kung hindi lang **** nagka-sales yung account ko jan andyan pa rin ako. I love Telus tlaga.
This comapny is a good start for everyone!

people in telus are really down to earth. i had thoughts of leaving the company bec of the low salary but it's the working environment that made me stay. i come from one of the accounts that is still growing.. i just started last july and we were batch4.. the higher batches are really helpful.. they are very much willing to assist our batch.. gossiping is not tolerated and we can even file a case against gossiping people.. this is to avoid poison working environment.. telus strongly promotes professionalism among its employees..

Just make sure you make them understand that you know the basics for SQL. The job would be more on database management, so it does not really require heavy knowledge of the language. But make sure to let them know that you are earnestly studying it at the moment. Also, try to project a very positive and confident front.

If you follow these suggestions, I am pretty sure you'd do well.
