going back to the topic, I noticed most of the ads here are the low-budget ones (with the exception of Rosanna Roces'), some clients want their ads to be so bad, they're actually good. Mataas kasi ang recall. What I hate are the pa-cool ads, which I wouldn't mention here.

Remember that "Honey, I want a condo-pie" commercial? It was so awful but I bet everyone still remembers it. Talk about strategy huh?

1. Those cheesy Dunlop Socks followed by ABC Socks during PBA games (catchy tunes though).

2. Anything by the government.

3. Anything with LA Lopez singing the jingle (eg Karapatan ng Bata, Iodized Salt).

i also sometimes get annoyed with that commercial involving brand power supporting dog food. Hey, they are trying to fool the consumers. They say that we spend abt P20 on leftovers (dog food is cheaper daw) and leftovers lack the nutrients. Although it was right that leftovers might lack nutrients (though mingrels lang naman ang kakain :) ), saying that one spends P20 on leftovers is not necessarily true. Di ba paid for na yung tirang pagkain? If one buys dog food then he will throwing the P20 worth of tira. Now talking abt cheaper ...

Well, how about the Asahi commercial:
"Asahi, cools so well, Asahi, day and night, Asahi...turn, turn on an Asahi fan..." Not to mention the girl in rollerskates that gets blown away!

Remember Anzahl? "Anzahl, Anzahl, the car paint of the future today, the paint of the professional...Anzahl urethane paints for your car" Yung babae in red na nasa hood ng car?? Absolutely lovely :).

Do you know the Technofan commercial with Karen Timbol (former That's star)? She carries with her a notebook and pen with the autograph "You're my number 1 fan!" signed by no less than...the TECHNOFAN!!! Leche talaga. Kinda annoying din ang Technogas commercial where Isabel Granada and Shirley Fuentes opens the oven to look at chicken's roasting on the rolling motions of the oven.

And I think I'm fed up with the Konsensiya commercials of Safeguard. Paiba-iba lang ang mga scenario, pero kailangang may lumitaw na konsensiya.

What's even more annoying is the flashing ekek of the fruits on her eyes, nose, and mouth.
How about the Bonamine ad where the girl steps off the bus (after spinning countless times in nahihilo mode) and does that silly hop/skip/whatever going away?
I especially hate the Sutla ad...crappy situations and stuff...the girl's not even attractive, and she just has this silly smile that says "Don't take me seriously, this is a very low-cost ad for a low-cost product."

And then that woman who looked suspiciously like my former finance teacher takes a bite of pizza.
That ad was as scary (because of my teacher) as it was funny for me.

But do you know the CAP Pension ad? The one where a bunch of old guys sing this horrible song that they probably composed themselves? "At CAP Pension...we use this motto...we're in business just for you!"

Genevieve, you must be referring to the Family Detergent Bar commercial of Cristy Per Minute (with two other commedienes), as the famous alcohol brand also entered the detergent market. Uy ang cheap talaga nun, according to some sources, it was really a total flop. The commercial is not being aired anymore.

Hey about the series of "Juicy-Fruit Gum" commercials with American (or foreign) actors/actresses na kung saan saan lang pinulot...hahaha..those were really really funny..."Times like this, you need Juicy Fruit Gum ....Mas malinamnam...". Another disgusting ones are the Mentos series of commercials...sometimes they are funny but you will notice that walang pinag-iba sa mga commercials ng Boomerang, Juicy Fruit, Family Toothpaste, etc. they're all cheaply made..

One of my all-time favorite baduy commercials is the Pagoda Cold Wave Lotion thingy. Those 4 girls na nag-disco with ultra-frizzy hair! Eeeeeewwwwwwwwww!!! Ang papangit pa nila! :p

Nakaka-awa yung mga dwarves sa 680 Home Appliances commercials -- the ones they keep inside the refrigerator (or was it electric fan) boxes. Pero after all these years, naaalala pa rin ng mga tao! Btw, to all those concerned, there still is an EXISTING 680 store. It's on that street off Makati Ave. The one with Pizza Hut and BPI at the corner, and there's Tapa King and Subway pa. Driving by there brings back memories!!! =D
