this is quite long. but have patience to read it. someone forwarded me this email. i don't know what happened next. but pls be careful.
Subject: WARNING ON TEXT WINNERS ( SCAM)
Please read this on, this is a warning on text winners, you might be the next victim. Last April 16, somebody texted my husband that he won 1 HONDA CIVIC unit. The details of the messages actually goes like this " We informed you that you won one (1) HONDA CIVIC plus 300 THOUSAND PESOS ONLY at DRAKKAR COSMETICS PARIS INT'L CO. located at # 88 Harvard St. Cor. West Kalayaan Subic, Olongapo City. kindly contact MRS LIZA SARMIENTO thru cel no.0916-8202712 or 047 - 2520132 congratulations and CALL NOW." Having doubts, I decided to call the landline tutal wala namang mawawala. I was also thinking kung meron nga ba akong sinulatan na promo nila since we've been there at Subic last year. The land line keeps on ringing but nobody answered, so I decided to
call the cell number and was able to talked LIZA SARMIENTO to check if my husband really won. So this are the tactics, she asked the name of my husband , the cell number and the home address and requested me to call her again after 3 mins to confirm if my husband really won. She asked me also the cell number who texted us. By the way, the number is 0916-3244261. Actually, I contacted this number first but unluckily it can not be reached. After 3 mins I called her again and she confirmed me that we really won the "honda civic plus the 300 thous." through home text partners.
(My gosh I can't really believe muntik ko nang maisip mag baksyon sa U.S. kahit panandalian lang, medyo nginig ako to da maks!)
But this is the real story, She told me that the car we won was 60 days overdue na, she gave me another cell number 0919-6324814 and requested me to call Mr. Tony Fargas to ask what would be the best thing to do since it was overdue na nga. Finally I was able to talked with this guy , I begged him for one day grace period since the message was received only once. He told me to call again LIZA SARMIENTO because the papers will be endorsed to her to process the trasferring of the car under the name of MICHAEL OPEDA . When I called Liza, she explained that it will be transferred only, if we will pay charges such as documentation & notary amounting to P11,500 at that very moment, the cut-off time is until 3:00 p.m. only - and t'was already 2:30 pm. She told me that the best way would be "bank to bank transactions" under the name of ROGELIO B. PACO account number 737-603909-3 at BPI Family Bank. Since I have no cash at that time, I immediately called my Mother-in-law and ask for help. She asked one of her staff to go to the bank to deposit the money their asking at BPI ECHAGUE Branch. A lot of questions really stick to my mind like paano kung nangloloko lang sila, what if totoo nga? why we're not informed through telegram? why we did not recieve any phone calls and besides I can't even recall kung may sinalihan akong promo although we went to Subic last year.
Then finally, I immediately call the DTI to check if there's really a promo like this from DRAKKAR COSMETICS INT'L CO. She told me that there are a lot of querries regarding that, and one of her cousins was a victim. grabe no! ang sama nila. Di ko na sila binalikan , - anyway Dios na ang bahala sa kanila may karma din yon. But prior to that I called my Mom again to hold the money kasi parang I have a strong feeling na nanloloko lang sila. Buti na lang when my Mom called the
bank and asked the teller to call her staff ,di pa na i dedeposit yung pera, muntik muntikan na .
Kaya guys, I'm warning you , be ware of this kind of messages, this is really a SCAM !And, timing pa ang dami kasing promo ng SMART & GLOBE through text kaya siguro nakisabay sila. Who know's you, your friends, or your relatives might be the next victims
