can i know some of the benefits you are getting from your companies?? (if you don't mind)

well, here's mine..

1. a minimum wage (what the law asks for)
2. Meal subsidy (25.00/ day)
3. Shuttle service
4. A 5% increase in salary yearly
5. Company outings..:D
6. A life insurance worth 35,000
--- i don't know if my company is paying good or what but im almost more than 6 months there and it seems like i think that i should be getting more.. SHOULD I??

here's mine

- hospitalization up to P100,000.00
- 13th to 15th month
- 15 days vacation leave, 15 days sick leaves and 3 days emergency leaves.
- Mondays to Fridays
- we have 1 and 1/2 lunch break
- we are allowed to watch television even during office hours if we need rest or we have finished our work for the day.
- company outing ( Plus family) for free
- Christmas party
- commission shemes
- good and friendly bosses
- free breakfast, morning snack, lunch and afternoon snack. Sometimes, dinner.

The only good thing is:
They pay ur expenses when they place you out of town, like hotels, transpo, meals...in short per diem.

good salary for a fresh grad.
bad salary for an experienced one.

nope....

you work you get paid....that's not a "benefit" for me, there is an exchange of product.

consider benefits like added goodies from your company that is not a payment for what you are doing. Which is more likely as the factor that makes you stay.

Yan din naman kasi ang reason kaya ang mga pinoys eh gusto na rin mag work sa abroad eh.

Marami naman kasing company dyan sa Pinas na nakakapagbigay ng magandang benefits eh. Pero maliit ang sueldo kaya binabawi sa benefits at bonuses.Yun minsan nilalakihan ang salary pero contractual at alang benefits. Ika nga eh Bawi lang.Isa pa napakagulo kasi ng labor code natin sa Pinas eh nde masyado maganda... madaming loop holes. Kaya maraming Noypi ang nadidismaya. Idagdag mo pa ang gobyerno.

I heard from more than one person who said that employers often employ workers but after 6 months they fire them so they don't have to pay some sort of benefit, Philippines version of social security maybe? Is this true?

No, they fire them before six months, or they hire them as contractuals for 5 months. If you stay longer than six months in the company, that means by law, you are a regular employee.

You will usually see this happening in malls.

syempre may pa-celfone,pa-kotse, insurance, loans, meron pa ngang computer loan eh.. basta marami..meron ding out of country trips. d ko lang sure yung iba pang benefits..
pero ang alam ko.. depende na rin sa position. btw, my dad is working for this company for 17 years.. and for 17 yrs, 5 beses na napalitan yung kotse nya.

basta.. i know.. maganda itong company na to.. ok naman yung trabaho ni papa eh, tapos ok naman yung buhay namin.. nakakaraos naman.
