hi. pwede hingi advice on what to put for our wedding and reception songs? gusto ko kasi di ko papa-alam sa fiance ko yung repertoire para surprise sya pag dating ng big day namin. we hired a string quartet and a soloist for the wedding tapos yung quartet lang for the reception.

ano ano ba okay na songs for the following?

prelude song
entourage
bridal entrance
marriage rites
offertory
communion
pictorial
recessional

tapos sa reception:

prelude
intro of sponsors
entrance of newlyweds
dinner and pictorial
cake, wine and dove ceremony
first dance

Just wanted to share: During my brother's wedding reception, we his sisters sang the song from "Anastasia" called "At The Beginning." The first few lines are: "We were strangers starting out on a journey...Never dreaming what we'd have to go through..."

Tuwang-tuwa yung mga tao dun sa song number namin kahit puro amateurs kami (although lahat kami nagka-choir at ex-choir members). Sabi nila, we should've sang it daw nung picture taking. Pero syempre hindi puwede kasi nasa entourage kami lahat!

Just an idea for all those looking for the appropriate songs for their weddings.

The Last Time by Eric Benet, is one sweet song. I get emotional whenever I hear this song, and would love to use it as my wedding march song, kaso lang hindi bagay sa´min ng hubby to be ko, coz Im his first gf. (lyrics of the song goes like : this is the last time I´ll fall in love, kc). you can also use this song for the groom´s march in the aisle with the parents.

I wanted to use instrumental version of the song IT MIGHT BE YOU for my wedding march (bride´s entrance) particularly because it is our song, plus I do feel that the intro (of the instrumental version) is so sweet too, and the song is very significant to us, my h2b gave me a tape (instrumental version, yet again, hehe) of this song on our first month anniversary (thus it became our song). --haba--- but
h2b feels( and rightly so) the message of the song is not
appropriate. Pero naisip ko lang po, na i-include nalang sa
misalette the history/story behind the song, so people will know why we are using that song. What do you guys think?

I guess it's difficult to comment as I have no idea what that song says. BUT, if it's so significant to you and your future husband (and it's instrumental - so the words shouldn't really count), then you should use it. After all it is YOUR wedding, and not your guests' right? In a week's time they won't even remember what song you went down the aisle on, but YOU always will.

^ I agree. If it's instrumental, then the lyrics won't be sung so they don't really count. Go ahead and use it. (If I'm not mistaken, the instrumental version of this song can be found in the soundtrack of "Tootsie")

regarding bridal march song depende sa set up. if sa church yung set up you can not opt na tapusin yung song due to time constraint ususally pinapa cut na yung song pag nasa altar na both yung couple, but if you have a wedding not in the church you can somehow personalized the music meaning pwede mo iaarange na tapusin yung song...
