^ I suppose you could give it a shot with the call center, but when I applied with VisaPoint, the only choices when adding family members were for the primary applicant's spouse and child. That page just described the VisaPoint process after all.

pwede naman kayo sabay painterview. sa visapoint hindi siya pwede magsabay. pero pagsubmit nyo sa window sa pavillion pwede kayo sabay lumapit or pagsamahin nyo na papers nyo.

Hello Everybody,

It's me again...If ever my son was granted american citizenship...he is ten months old at this time.....and his american dad wants us (me and our baby) to go there in his country so that we can meet his parents and other relatives.....what are my chances of getting a visa....a tourist one, i think kasi hindi pa annuled iyong previous marriage ko with a filipino....For sure, wala ng problem dun sa baby namin if ever he was granted na the citizenship....what abt me? Definitely, our baby can't travel by himself, right? Would that be enough justification for the consul to grant me a tourist visa?

Once again, my ties here are: my work (online editor/tutor for koreans (permament); and my 3 kids from the previous marriage.....

Thank u all in advance for the tips......Have a good day to us all!

Needs help.

I'm applying for a US Tourist Visa and needs your POV,

I'm 25y/o, single, with bank account of less than XXX,XXX, with car 96model, works as a system analyst in an American firm based in Manila, earning around XXX,XXX annually(had been with this company for a year now).
I've been a college instructor for 3 years before this job.
I've been to SG last year, and will be in HK by Feb.

Purpose: Travel and visit my Mom, Auntie, Grandpa in Cali.

My aunt and grandpa were both immigrants and my mom has a working visa. My aunt will be sponsoring my travel.

I just bought my DS157 from BDO yesterday.

Hope you can give me tips on how to prepare for this application.

TIA.

from my experience as a traveler, you look like you'll be denied kasi you have no reason to come back to the philippines eh. all your family are in the US tapos yung job mo pa na IT eh madali makahanap ng under the table sa california. pero dasal ka na lang, we never know di ba?

dyosa01,

When did your mom get her work visa? I was suppose to suggest that she should've applied an H4 visa for you, but then again, I've realized that you're over the age of 21. orangepink is right, you have stronger ties to the US rather than the Philippines and this is a red flag, unless your company will send you to their headquarters in the US for official business, that's a different story.

hi! im planning to apply for a tourist visa..pls tell me your opinions kung papasa ba ako based on the ff:

30 y/o full time mom with one kid (8 y/o)
registered nurse but not practicing
hubby's with a telecom company for 10++ years already
been to hk only
owns 2 suv (2005 and 2009 models)
owns house and lot under my name
bank account x,xxx, xxx under my name also since 2007

do i need to disclose na nurse ako? or tatanungin ba ako?
is it better to apply as a family?
nga pala, sold a property kasi kaya i have all these..and hindi ko ka-joint si hubby sa bank...

Para sa akin God's will talaga yan, in HIS perfect time.

^ 10 years nga yan eh. Walang rule na dapat within 6 mos eh magamit mo yan. im 102% sure.

You were given that NIV because you told the interviewing consul that you already have a plan, haven't you? So why not stick to your plan on going to the States. However, if you have a sudden change of plan, thats fine... as long as you will go there within 10 years.

+1 on this, you don't have to go to the US immediately once you get a B1/B2 visa.

Thanks for the inputs.

Let's just hope your monthly salary is compelling enough to convince the consul that you have sufficient ties to return, but, yeah, I agree with orangepink; the nature of your job makes it even tougher for you...but you'll never know until you've tried.

Pexers tanong lang. Pag mag apply ng US Visa ang first step is to pay sa bank (BDO or BPI di ba?). Tapos papano ba magpa schedule on line? Ano website? Yung DS 157 from the bank lang ba yung fill up an ko or meron pa ding fill up an on line sa site nila? Thanks

^ Everything is explained adequately here, including all the links (DS-156 form + VisaPoint) you are asking for: http://manila.usembassy.gov/wwwhniv1.html

But it actually doesn't matter whether you pay BDO first, or schedule your appointment on VisaPoint (or the call center, if you prefer the simplicity of talking to another person) first. Those steps can be interchanged. Just prepare your passport numbers when you are scheduling your appointment on VisaPoint/call center.
