But kung hindi ka talaga convinced sa sagot namin... then I would suggest, go with your instinct to renew it as soon as you want.

If I understand it correctly, you didnt answer my question, HOW SOON can I renew my visa.. you just explained to me the terms of validity of the visa. (I quoted your post for you.)

Regarding Super_Man's post, it's not that I dont believe what you guys are saying... my concern is HOW SOON? is there specific time frame like what? a month before expiration, 2 months before?... that's what I need to know. I read the FAQs but unfortunately I cant find the answer so I was hoping that someone here have done it already and will give me the answer. (renewing the visa before expiration.)

You dont need to be sarcastic. Thanks anyway.

hi.. i have a question..

a friend told me that she's leaving soon goin to US. according to her, petition daw sha. but she's already 34 years old. is it still possible na ma-petition sha considering her age now?

kasi nung nasa L.A ako last month, yung friend ko she's only 20 years old and sabi nya di na sha umabot sa petition ng dad nya since she's over 18. thats why she had to apply for a tourist visa just to be with the family. mejo naconfuse lang ako so hope someone could enlighten me.. thanks!!!

How soon is up to you. There are people who applied immediately after their application was denied, and got the same results. It's literally immediately as they were lining up at the embassy again a week after their initial interview. Well, some people feel that they have to prove themselves to the consul, but how, if the consul didn't even bother look at the documents that an individual has brought. Their only way is to apply immediately. My advice here is to carefully assess your situation and I'm sure your initial interview is a learning process as it will give you somehow an idea on what are the possible questions that the consul might ask.

To answer your question, there's no specific time on how soon you can apply again, meaning the embassy won't stop you from applying immediately if you are initially denied. As for new applications, you can apply also even if the current visa that you have is not yet expired. By the way, there's no such thing as renewal, each application is treated as a new application which is subject for denial.

This is possible, maybe some company has petitioned your friend for a job. There's also a family-based petition, all the categories except for F2A. People who are younger than 21 are still considered minor for immigration purposes.

If I may share, my uncle's B1/B2 visa is expiring on July 2010 while the rest of his family's visa (wife and children) will expire on March 2010. We are all planning to visit the US mid-April 2010 so my uncle applied with the rest of his family last November 10, 2009 and they were all approved. He was not asked why he is applying for a new one when his current visa is still valid when we travel on April 2010. Gusto lang kasi niya sabay sabay na mag-apply since he's also the head of the family, though his children are all adults.

Hope this helps.
