I love rockers so I'm rooting for him!
I really, really love his studio version of Eleanor Rigby. The guitars were kickass. |

ooh! count me in! Even if I really liked his voice, ever since HELLO, I am really irked by his arrogance and cockiness. I hated his facial expressions especially that crooked smile, making him look like he thinks of himself as someone better than the rest of the contestants.
Pero after his Billie Jean performance, something changed in the way he took the praises of the judges. After that performance, I started to like him as David Cook, not just the voice. Tapos he looked HOT with that new haircut as well. ![]() So yes, i'm rooting for this rocker with the beer belly! ![]() |

Save the WORDNERD, Save the World!
Although I'm a BIG fan of Brooke & MJohns, David Cook is my bet to win it all. It's about time for a rocker to win AI. If he won't win, basta final 2 lang happy na ako. |

I have a few faves this year but I'm really rooting for this guy. Amazing singer. If he doesn't win, it's okay. He can be the next Daughtry.

I'm listening to the songs from Analog Heart. I wasn't expecting much from this album, but I am quite surprised at how good it is.
I love his voice. He has an amazing way of connecting to all of his songs. Grabe! My favorites are Makeover, Silver & Searchlights. I like Let's Go but I didnt like the guitars towards the end. But his guitar solo was great. Wow, I'm so impressed. He's a great songwriter. I like the lyrics for Silver, about obtaining to be the best and not settling for second best. |

Count me in word nerds!
I also like his pre-idol music. I'm pretty confident that he'll do well when he leaves AI because this guy just has the total package(as Paula said). His music is something that I can hear on the radio in the future. I started rooting for him after seeing him do his rendition of Lionel Richie's Hello. Week after week, he never fails to entertain me. He's a born performer on the stage. His voice just amazes me. He has a great range and tone and I hope you guys won't hate me for saying that I prefer DC over Chris Daughtry now. I'm excited to see him perform again on Wednesday! BTW, his older brother will be there(the one who has brain cancer) so it must be a special night for Cook. I just wonder what song he would choose. Oh yeah, for the record, Simon is damn wrong about him being smug/arrogant/pompous(seriously, any other word Simon?). This guy has a big heart and I don't know if you guys know the story behind his orange wristband or about his brother. You gotta thank his younger bro though because if it wasn't for him, he won't be in AI right now, haha! It was his brother who was supposed to audition and DCook was just there to give full support and in the end, it was David who got the golden ticket ![]() This has got to be one of my favorite pics of him ![]() I just love MJ and DC together ![]() Oh look! It's Luke! ![]() And he had me at "Hello" ![]() Grateful Cook ![]() Bird? ![]() More next time! |

^agree! Honestly I didn't expect much from Analog Heart. I thought it was a bunch of crappy rock songs, full of guitar solos and screaming here and there. Pero surprisingly, I liked his album! His lyrics are very well thought of and the melodies are catchy and they don't sound the same. Plus, knowing na it was almost ALL david's work, impressed me a whole lot. He's soo talented.
Speaking of melodies, I loved Don't Say A Word, Searchlights (His range is just amazing) and the Truth. As for lyrics, I loved Straight Ahead "So take a minute just to breathe and think of everything you wanted, and what you got instead." and like what pink_junkie said, SILVER's lyrics is amazing. I remember Daughtry's Absent Element pre-Idol Album and Analog Heart tops it, no doubt. I can't wait for Cook's post-idol album coz I'm sure it will be better. I am just not sure if he'll be given much freedom in making it. I hope he does. He's frigging talented. and Yes, it was only recent that I learned what AC really means. It was really wrong of me to assume that he's pompous and arrogant. He does have a big heart and I am really beginning to really really like him. Parehas sila ni Brooke. Both great songwriters and both have big hearts. ![]() |

I'm loving Makeover, The Truth, Fall Back Into Me, Straight Ahead, Don't Say A Word, Silver, AC, Callout and Clean Break.
As for the studio versions, Innocent and Billie Jean are my favorites. Oh and just for laughs: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u2YS9fWmMz8 ![]() Here's a live performance of The Truth (just click the link and the first post has the video) http://www.david-cook.org/index.php?...6&st=0&start=0 |
