by:culasha a.k.a fiona  it sort of amaze me to find a perfect backdrop for GELOs romantic interlude...well the place is not the very famous BORA as you would all presume it to be tadann …that’s CASAPSPAN BEACH at Casiguran Aurora Province….you’d gonna love this place for sure!! I’m a sucker for romantic stuff be it on movies, books and teleseryes…Livin… lovin lobo is what makes my heart beats faster…I love sugar spice and everythin nice to the hilt… But hold it!!…wait!!…hep…hep..that’s precisely not how things happen in real life…much lest to a tale of a quirky fashionista turned into a feisty lady and a dashing young soldier who are destined to fall in love with each other and discover that they have a totally different predicament/mission in life in which the element of challenge and surprise can take it’s toll..it’s not surprising how a great number of people have the same opinions not just at the internet forums/threads…whatta heck.…everybody’s talking about it…from a posh sosyalista condos to the vendors in the streets. Yeah babe….we all love LOBO without question, save for a very presumptuous groupie who claim they’re on top of the hip now that the ratings game are playing like a mosquito (hope it’s a singing bee!!) who keep buzzing us in the middle of the night. Ahhh whatever…I can’t find any single iota in my belly to admire a pathetic “sea goddess” since time immemorial way before computers, cellphone, and liposuction have yet to be invented. Ahh well… Marian looks every inch a SISA in her “burloloys”….Is a mermaid supposed to don a lot of accessories in her crowning glory?…not unless she wants desperately to be a christmas tree for all seasons...we cannot do anything about it…kabum… Naaahhh…not a plus factor indeed…the production design of the soap is so oh so “thirdwordish” totally disgusting…disappointing and fall short of what we’re all expecting…(read: ampanget)… putting it bluntly…it’s so CHEAP. Why settle on a lot of “styros, glitters etc” as props when you can make it real..right? Wouldn’t it be more realistic if they spent a penny on location to capture the beauty of the sea to highlight the gift of nature on what to be touted as a timeless tale of a beautiful mermaid falling in love with a mortal man? I just can’t shake it off that they have to resort some theatrics… mudslinging about “ratings” thingy….well admittedly….i know nothing about production, anik-anik, chuva chever….but really…it doesn’t take one to be the late Tatus Aldana to know how a thing looks fine and superbly impressive….oh well, tama na…I’m going overboard na….i have to stop from a repressed kind of emotion…I would get a nosebleed bwahahaha!! Well…in a moment of great distress and rice crisis brouhaha……it rhymes….whew…it’s a blessing to be aided with a flat idiot box known to us as television, but if you guys are one of those straight overly superficial, enlightened individuals rolled into one… who says it doesn’t make sense at all to have one…..well think again…cuz you’re surely missing something my dear…. I’ve done my own research guys…Tonight it's LOBO’s 69th episode to date. Two volumes of DVDs are now out at all record stores and selling like hotcakes. Well…I’m one of those early crazy-panic-striken customers who luckily got a copy during the first few days of its release, as I’m so excited to see it again…and again…I would somehow practically bang my head against the wall in Astrovision store if I didn’t get one, I’d dunno what you’d call this behavior…it sort of “ fanatical obsession” that’s quite alarming, but I can handle it well with grace… poise and allure whehehehe…. darn it…hate it…but it can be downright stressful sometimes. If people all over the metropolis can hell break lose to think where to get their next meal… as in dire need of lining up in all outlets just to buy NFA rice…here I am in my turf with practically nothing else in mind but to desperately grab a copy of DVDs of LOBO at all cost whew…. LOBO the TV Series… LOBO is a fantasy, thriller, romance, mystery, comedy and action series of ABS-CBN Kapamilya Network which premiered last January 28, 2008, it was also known as La Loba Blanca or Taong Lobo…of course it starred Angel Locsin and Piolo Pascual on the lead roles, created by Mark Anthony Bunda and with no less than Ms. Cathy Garcia-Molina, and FM Reyes as directors (Maging Sino Ka Man Book 1). Direk Cathy who megged some romantic feel good films that made a killing at the box office such as Bcuz of You, Wansapanataym, Close to You, You are the One, You Got Me and One More Chance. Director Jerry Lopez Sineneng on the other hand, directed top rating TV shows such as Natutulog ba ang Diyos?, Hiram, Basta’t kasama kita, Patayin sa Sindak si Barbara and many more. He is now also a part of Team Lobo. Top caliber and topnotch scriptwriter Ricky Lee and Direk Olivia Lamasan are creative manager and adviser of the series, respectively. The powerful team song was composed by the multi-talented Ogie Alcasid and sung by Martin Nievera, it has a new rendition by Raki Vega and a lot of the viewing public are requesting for Sarah Geronimo’s version…The approximate running time of the series is 40 minutes and according to the abs-cbn webby…. it would go as far as 120 episodes.….so the teleserye that we all love would somehow reach until sometime July 2008 of course save from additional revisions and a lot of clamor from the public to extend it or have a book 2 like MSKM it would be long till we know that we are intoxicated by it….so it feels great to see more of GELO in the next succeeding weeks and months to come… whoaaa!!  credits to lobo abs.cbn.com Overview Production FYI guys… In 2004 Lobo was already planned to make as a project of ABS-CBN. it was conceptualized at first as siblings who are both wolves. Robin Padilla was the first choice for the role of Noah with Kristine Hermosa as Lyka but was shelved because he transferred to GMA Kapuso Network. In early 2007, John Lloyd Cruz and Anne Curtis were also offered for the lead role but it didn’t materialize also because both of them must do their roles for Maging Sino Ka Man Book 2. The series was only started and made when Angel Locsin big switch to ABS-CBN took place and the management decided to pair her to the hottest premier actor Piolo Pascual. Heart Evangelista was also offered for the role of Shaina Magdayao but she declined.  chinkyeyes GELO thread  Lobo cast….from dimples multiply It’s gratifying to watch the DVDs without all those bugging commercials, it captures one of a kind, sordid stuff that LOBO is made for, kinda spellbinding…sometimes things happen in a jiffy that you would like to see it again and again…you have the power within your fingertips to replay/fast forward or zoom it more than you wish for…sometimes it’s ridiculously funny and incoherent to be alive…maybe I’m just a hopeless romantics who at one point envies Lyka who lost in the arms of Noah!!! while I’m against all kinds of PDAs(public-display-of-affection…not pinoy dream academy hehe) and unrelenting…sweetness of a couple…Lyka and Noah are exemption to the rule…it sounds lavishly incredibly mushy dealing with forces beyond your control but it was so obvious how can anyone ever compare the chemistry between Piolo and Angel... it so strong… undeniable….unbeatable…there’s nothing quite like them…you’ll love them wholeheartedly....no ifs…no buts…. Eto pa….true love reflects the souls inner movements and reveals a part of us that’s more real….vulnerable and sincere…because it shows how truly we are as people… it can never ever lie….ganun din ba sa inyo yun Angel and Piolo?...i have an insatiable curiosity going on in my head that maybe you’d raise an eyebrow to the max but I need not elaborate it for now….ngeek!!  Cathy Garcia-Molina is such a great director. Lyka and Noah sweet moments is always a sight to behold…passionate..heartwarming radiated such stronger emotional connection to each other….one hell of a scene wherein you wouldn’t wanna miss a single word….a mushy whatnot, a sweet gesture or even just a simple glimpse means something deeper...but in their last “make-out session” ahaa…..i just can’t understand it…we’re waiting in bated breath… “may nangyari ba talaga?Bakit ganun para ‘atang ako lang di nakakita nun moment na yun huh? It maybe a prelude to something else that may soon happen expectedly after they both run their hands through each other’s hair and then it fades just like that and the next scene I knew was….they were sitting next to each other at the veranda. Noah fell asleep and Lyka’s still wide awake….yet in each other’s tight embrace. So was it safe to conclude that they ended up…not in bed?..hala….hanu ba yann( kayo ha!! anu iniisip nyo dyan?)… You see we have more than enough of those suggestive cliches, if you think about it…somehow it makes us more crazier than ever…they were in the middle of… darn it…y’know what…… where the partner would go into a “clinch” then out of the blue the next scene would fade and pop out into our consciousness like moon emerging from the sky or some trees behind the house, starlight…starbright chuvaness or some waves lapping it out on the shore kind of stuff....hmmmmm!!! But anyways..i’m not making naman a mountain out of a molehill here eh...but still it was such a beautifully crafted kissing scene ever…yeah it never fails to amaze us that Piolo and Angel look so good together that you wouldn’t think they are merely acting on their roles…they are so d**n hot that you wanna see them in 24/7… never mind if its not in PBB house anyways… maybe in one of the breathtaking beaches here in our province…who knows? …hay grabee na ito….kakabuwang naaa!!! Whatever….whichever….still somehow…somewhere in the middle and in the little bit of everything….i’m not just alone in being ahoo…ahoo!!  Want some lobo biscuits wolfies?? Nooo it doesn’t taste like fita!!!bwahahahaha at may soundtrack pa haaa!!
