filipinos really have a flare for writing...when we write...it comes from within...kahit pa cheesy love letters.

i've been writing for ages and i am enjoying putting my thoughts and ideas into words. im a good coversationalist but better in writing. i put my words in a journal or kahit anong paper...i then compile everything i wrote into one journal and use that as my portfolio.

to all the writers and aspiring writers out there....best of luck!

same passion here..

i wonder, do writers necessarily have the same and equal passion for reading?
..coz i have, and it would surprise me if some of the writers dont..

im not exactly what you would call a writer but i do enjoy writing and i feel that it is a manner of capturing an expression of one's emotion and making it immortal. Not only is it a healthy diversion, i also see it as an outlet...... i don't like letting others read my work though .....

i think reading and writing is like toasted bread and jelly. they make a perfect match. kasi...if you are a wide reader u can gather more information and inspiration from what you are reading.

for example...you can't formulate your own theories without the comparison of other theories diba?! you need to research the nature of your study so you have to read and read to clarify things.

when you put that research down into writing...you bare yourself...your writing reflects then how strong your personality is

writing is my passion kaya nga i took up Journalism. Thought pag may passion ka magaling ka na, kaso dami pang bigas ang dapat kong kainin para maging better or best writer.
i write anything and everything kaso mostly about my depressions and angst. ewan hirap magsulat pag masaya.
poems? nah, i'm not good at this one, but i try though. no harm doing that.

hiya fellow writers im more into poetry (romantic, dark, spiritual, emotional, lyrical) and prose (reflective, fiction, humor etc.).

i believe that to be a good writer, you also have to be a good reader. with all the distractions these days, i salute to avid readers and writers out there .

i have some of my works somewhere over the net, just too shy to share the URL hehe. keep those pens scribblin' folks

I'm not good, but I'm willing to learn.

And probably the best way of learning is from experiencing it firsthand. Hence, I'll probably have to stop thinking about writing, and instead start writing, period.

I just can't seem to commit all my ideas to paper, either for reasons of laziness, idea exhaustion, or possibly just because I'm not satisfied with any idea that starts out in my head.

That's all, I guess.

I love to write. It's hard to imagine a life without experiencing the joy of putting your thoughts on paper (or pc). I can't imagine what I would be doing if I didn't love writing.

There was a time I felt that my writing wouldn't be able to pull me through my life and that bothered me so much. I couldn't write (it felt as if my writing wasn't good enough anymore, that I didn't have talent) or anything. Plus, the college course I entered is Management, so I felt I couldn't be of use or anything there.

Thank God for my journal (something which I've been keeping since I was in Grade 3!). It helped me remain sane and made me see that I could still write. Now, I know that I have so much more talents (I can live with Finance and Economics now!) than I thought I had, but writing will still remain my passion.

i write coz i find that there's no other way, there's no better way, to make people pay attention to your thoughts, what you are trying to say, than through writing.

i've been writing for the school paper since elementary and i'm just DAMN GLAD that i'm writing for the VARSITARIAN and 2bU!

writing for me is this constant mind-f*cking process of trying to think of something sensible to write, well sometimes it doesn't necessarily have to conform to the rules and meter's of being sensible, but of course you'd want people to say: 'Oh! He's making sense here...', who would read something made up of non-sense. and capitalizing on that (idead), and making 'sense' of it, or just plain do something with that (idea)

*whew*

I don't know what it takes to be a writer, I do believe everyone IS a writer. As long as you've got those scar's to show (life-scar's, literal na scars...etc.) and you've got something 'sensible' or 'worthwhile ' to say/write, may it be for yourself or for whatever cause that is.

passion. when i write, i feel my words (minsan sablay nga lang, but the hell, it's nothing i lift off some 'obscurely-titled-novel-i-know-no-one-will-refer-to-to-charge-me-with-plaigarism'). like this 'mind-f*cking' process I was talking about? yeah. the lust involved in each passionate thought that enters my head, ebbs out of my fingers (o di ba? naughty!, parang passion diba?). the desire to make sense. with all that said.

did i make sense? hmmmm...

Dang... miss ko tuloy MA ko in Eng Creative Writing.

...and seeing Sir Butch Dalisay strolling down the corridor.

Migs: Writing is about just letting go, inspired or uninspired.

Hmmm... but I thought you don't appreciate fiction? Tapos you write fairytales!? WoW. Those I gotta see.

W-O-W!!

I especially love "The Voyeur". Keep it up!

As for myself, I've been writing stuff since I was 10; however i couldn't bear the thought of somebody else reading my writings. My parents didn't encourage it din e. I've written a novel (romance-syempre!) during high school and the only people who've read it was my lit teacher, my sister and of course, me! maybe someday....inspiration ko yung friend ko who's gonna be publishing her sci-fi book sometime this year in the states.

I'm trying my hand in writing horror kaya lang can't seem to be succeeding... not much bad stuff to write from kasi e... thank goodness!!!
